" Avni....Can you come here one sec!..." Neil's eyes fixed on the laptop as they were doing some work in the study room and he has some doubt regarding it.

"Avni.. "He called her name and lifted his face only to see her sleeping on the couch with her head leaning backwards totally in an uncomfortable position.

He smiled seeing her sleeping and continued with his work and within few mins he finished.

He then stood up to move near her and his hand moved near her to wake her up to ask her go to sleep in their room but stopped as he felt she was in deep sleep.

He scratched the back of his head and went to his room and came back with quilt. He covered her and he sat beside her so that she can keep her head on his shoulder and sleep comfortably.

Avni quickly shifted her head onto his shoulder and wrapped her arms around him pulling him closely in sleep. Neil gave in to her comfortableness and was looking at her. Her eyes.. Her mole.. Her lips. His hand moved hear her face and he pinned her hair behind her ears. He smiled widely seeing her sleeping like a baby.

His eyes then caught onto the laptop and saw her schedule which is so piled up at 30th of October. ( This is has to be posted before 30 oct as I already pinned it long back but unable to get the draft done and update it because of my exam🥲)

"30th October tho.. Avni ki birthday hai.. Will she work at that day too?? " He thought with a pout

The Next Day

Avni woke up first and found her sleeping over Neil's chest and her had were wrapped around his tummy by then and his hand wrapped around her holding her and his head was lean backwards and he was sleeping. She was only looking at him and his hand which was wrapped around her protectively. A smile crept on her face. She slowly removed his hand from her and stood up and covered him with quilt and left.

After an hour or more,

Avni was just working and realized she has a small meeting today but she didn't received any mail of that schedule. She called her PA

"Good Morning Mam.. " She spoke to her.

" Good Morning!... Have you checked my schedule for 30th Oct... Just go for it accordingly as I planned for that day only....If there were any more rescheduled meeting... Then just plan it on that day... " She said going through the schedule which she itself made for that day.

"Mam... But that day already got hectic for you.. " She said stumbling as she assigned all the remaining work on that day.

"That's what I want! " She said sternly.

"And... What about my schedule today?...I have an meeting right?...then why I haven't received that schedule yet?.. " She said and stood up from the couch.

"Mam... Neil sir asked the Team heads to take care of it and has changed the plan " She said making her confused.

"Changed it?? " She asked to confirm it

"Yess... " She heard a sound of him and turned to find him standing at the door step with sleepy face.

She kept the conversation short and ended the call and looked at him.

"Why Neil?.. We don't have any other things to do today... " She said while he nodded his head negatively.

"No.. We have few things to do... " He said making her confused.

"I will just get freshen up and let's go.. " He said just quickly escaped from there before she could shoot him with questions.

"Where are we going?" She thought sitting on the bed.

"Neil... Neil.. " She called him but he went.

"Yeh ladka bhi na.. " She nodded her head in disbelief.

They then started from there. Avni was silently sitting without asking him any further question.

"Ahem!!... " He cleared his throat to gain her attention but she seemed to care less.

" Why are you silent?" He asked her seeing her silent.

"Why??.. You won't tell me if I ask anything though! " She twisted her lips cutely making him chuckle.

"Ahh!.. Don't keep your hope high!!.. We are just going for shopping! " He told her while she looked at him.

" Shopping?!...Why?!" She asked with her brows furrowed

"Just like that! .. Your birthday is around the corner right!.." He asked her in return while she looked at him with a blank face.

"Hmm... " She Hmm-ed in response looking away.

"It seems like you are not excited about it? " He asked her

"Is it something to be excited about? " She asked him in return making him go speechless.

"Mera matlab..." Before he could say something, she spoke.

"It's just one of my normal days Neil... I don't get to celebrate it specially... And I don't get excited about it! " She said sternly while Neil just listen to her silently.

Within sometime they reached there. They entered the store in the Mall. And they were looking into dress. As usual she was looking for black dresses.

"I didn't see her wearing any other color other than Black and Red " Neil thought just realising seeing her surfing through black dresses.

"Neil... Is this nice? " She asked him while his trance got broke and looked at her.

"Yeahh yeahh... Too good! " He said giving a smile while she smiled and picked few dresses went to give a try.

When she came back to show him the dress she tried, he was nowhere to be seen. She called his phone but he wasn't there. After few mins, she saw him coming.

"Huh... I just went to restroom.. " He said to her understanding her expression while she nodded.

They then finalized the dress and left from there.

Later at Night

Avni was sitting on the porch while Neil came with two bowls of ice cream for them. Avni smiled looking at him while he sat beside her. He handed over the one of the bowl to her.

"Won't you catch cold? " She asked him because he was eating at night while Neil looked at her *you are so boring* kinda look.

"I can have it if you don't want it! " He said and scooped a spoon to eat it but stopped when Avni snatched away from him. While he chuckled at her antics.

" It's a different kinda feeling eating ice cream at night that too with a someone special " He said in a go while Avni looked at him when he said 'someone special ' .

Neil didn't looked at her and was only eating the ice cream while Avni smiled widely and just started eating.

"Someone Special? ...I am 'Someone ' to everybody but special?..I doubt that " She asked him while he looked at her. Her sad smile with a tint of Chuckle- ness pained him too.

He kept the bowl aside and kneel down in front of her and hold her hand.

"Avni.. You know... You were that kind of friend who I got glued so quickly.... That kind of friend who can hear your heart out and don't judge back..... Even it made me wonder how we got close in short period of time... Ofc... You were special and you are now too...I know lot happened between us...but I guess everything fall under place like before...And you can't be special to everybody right?! " He told her while Avni was just looking at him and her lips quivered and in an instant she hugged him. He just hugged her back, caressing her hair.

" And I want to be that 'Kind of special Person ' to you as well Avni... " He said in a low tone while she hugged him more tight in response.

"And I hope.. I will be.. Someday! " He thought.
