The Next Day

Neil was sleeping so peacefully while his sleep got disturbed when Avni's phone rang. He opened his eyes stroking his face on his palm. He got up from the bed and moved towards the couch where her phone was ringing and before he could pick, it went off. He sighed and sat on the couch stretching himself. As he slept so comfortably after a long time. He then looked at the time and was hell shocked seeing it past 10 am in morning and he slept for so long.

He about to go to get freshen up but stopped when his eyes got on her laptop and many google tabs were opened on her laptop. He took her laptop and was seeing and his lips curved into bright smile and he chuckled.

"How to make my husband happy when he is sad? " He read what she was searching on the google and was laughing as he felt so cute.

"Yeh Avni bhi na.. " He said chuckling and moved to the other tabs

He read her every search tabs and was smiling widely. He could literally understand that all she thinks about is him. He kept the laptop aside on the table and was sitting there ideally thinking about her. He even still don't know why she loves him so much. He has a smile on his face. Suddenly he heard her footsteps and saw the door which was opened. He then rushed towards the bed and covered fully with duvet till his face and acted like sleeping. He don't want her to know that he looked into her laptop.

Avni stepped in with a coffee on her hand. She saw him who was fully covered with duvet and she thought he is still sleeping and smiled and picked her phone. She dialled the number which was her last call and that's her PA.

"I won't be coming office today... Just reschedule all the meetings of today... And do not disturb me... You can take it as warning. I don't want any calls regarding work. You just take care of everything.. " She said everything in a go and put off the call.

While Neil listen to her.

" She and her rudeness.. Alteast she could have inform the person gently but no... Avni mehta is Avni mehta.. The Angry Bird... " He murmured.

She then again called her bodyguard.

" What about the place I asked ..." She said in a loud tone but stopped, biting her tongue as she don't want him to know about the plan. She took the phone from her ear and looked towards the bed and found him still sleeping covering himself fully.

What about the place I asked you to book.. Did you booked it?"  She asked in low tone to her bodyguard while Neil chuckled understanding the situation while Avni turned towards the bed hearing some giggle while Neil closed his mouth with his hand. He got escaped as he covered himself fully and Avni couldn't able to see him. She shrugged it off and just enquired further and put off the call.

She walked towards the bed and sat on one side and kept the coffee mug on the table and slid the duvet from his face. 

"Neil... Get up.. " She slightly shaked him as like a typical wife waking her husband in the morning.

Neil continued his acting of still in sleep.

"Neil... Uto na... Wake up... " She started shaking him now like a mother waking up her child for school.

"Huff!! Should I just throw water on his face for him to wake up now... The coffee is getting cold.. How I made coffee for him in the morning and he is sleeping like a kumbhkaran... " She said pouting while Neil was shocked hearing that. And also surprised when he heard that she made coffee for him.

He stretched his hand as like he was getting up from the deep slumber. Avni looked at him with a smile.

"Good Morning Neil.. " She said while he looked at her and rubbed his eyes with his palm.

" Good morning Avni.. " He said while she stood up from the bed and hold his hand and pulled him making him get up from the bed.

"Utoo ... Go and brush your teeth... I have made coffee for you... " She said while he stood in front of her. He nodded like a good boy and left.

After sometime

He came back while Avni entered the room after heating the coffee again and gave the mug to him while he took it from her.

"Are you sure I will be alive after drinking it? " He was about to take a sip but stopped asking this question to her.

Avni raised one of her eyesbrows to him glaring at him.

"You better don't worry... I won't let you go that easily... Marna tho door ki baat hai... After drinking it.. May be you might get hospitalized...Kam se kam vahi hoga.." She said with a straight smile giving a terror look while Neil swolled a lump and started drinking without saying anything.

He kept the mug on the table while Avni laughed looking at him as he grow a mustache on his face. Neil after a long time saw her laughing and was just looking at her.

She bend forward coming closer to his face while Neil's trance broken. She took her pallu and stretched her hand close to her face. While Neil hold her hand looking at her while Avni's brows get furrowed and her eyes met his.

"Stain hojayaga... " He said looking at her

"I don't care... Hone dho.. " She said and wiped it with her saree and she was about to move back but stopped.

"Ahh! " She hissed in pain and they both together looked down and found her hair strands which got tangled in his t- shirt button.

She hold her hair and just tried to get out of that button in a harsh way.

"Avni.. Let me try... " He said holding her hand making her stop. He took her hand away and slowy untangled her hair strands while all the while Avni was lost onto him.

"It's done! " He said and looked up to find her staring at him. Their eyes met and they got lost into each other. Their face were inch apart.

"Go get freshen up.. " She said in a low tone still looking into his eyes.

"Huh... Then let me go... " He said while Avni made a confused face Neil slowly looked down on her hand which was on his shoulder holding it tightly. Avni followed his gaze and then took away her hand in an instant and stood straight. Neil stood up from the couch looking away. He then went to get freshen up.

He came after getting freshen up and saw black shirt on the bed. He knows Avni would have kept the shirt and took it. He then went down and saw her in Simple half shoulder Black full gown. Avni looked up from her phone to find him and smiled widely seeing him wearing the shirt she chosen.

He came and stood in front of her.

"Ahem!!.. Chale office? " He cleared his throat to make her come out of him and asked her as like he don't know anything.

"We are not going to office.. We are going for Da.. " She was going in a flow but stopped not saying Date as she don't wanna ruin her surprise. She mentally cursed herself. Neil chuckled

"We are going somewhere. " She further added.

"Where? " He asked her.

" Just come with me i will tell you... " She said and wrapped her hands on his arm and they marched out of home.

She opened the door of Passenger seat making Neil confused as they always got on the back and the driver rides the car. He sat quitely and put on the seat belt. She then came towards the driver seat and sat putting her seatbelt.

"You gonna drive??? " He asked with a widen eyes as he never saw her driving.

"Whats with that shocked face ?... I am best at driving then you..." She said looking at him and then started the car.

"I want to live.. " He murmured looking straight while Avni heard him and looked at him.

"If you talk nonsense like this again... I have no other go than sending you... " She said pointing upwards while Neil's jaw dropped down and then she started from there.

Within an hour or more, they have reached the Game Centre. Neil was quite surprised as he didn't expect that.

"We are here? " He asked after stepping out.

"Yess! You love games right. So I thought we could come here .. " Avni said while he smiled like a kid with so much excitement. They both together went in and another shock hit him when he saw the whole place empty. Avni was walking and turned to see him still standing at door step.

"Kya hua? " She asked him

"Don't tell me... Only we are going to be here! " He said walking towards her.

"Yes you are right!..." She said and started walking while he looked at her in disbelief realising she booked the whole place for a day.

"You are just unbelievable! " He murmured while Avni shrugged it off.

He then started playing games while Avni was sitting on the couch and was happy seeing him enjoying. He turned to see her just sitting there.

"Aish!!... It's so boring with me only playing... " He complained like a kid and went to her.

"Come and play with me... " He said to her as she was sitting ideally while Avni looked at him with a blank face.

"I don't know how to play this types of games and all.. " She said to him

"Wow... The great Avni Mehtha don't know something... " He said to trigger her to come and play with him.

"Excuse me!.. There is nothing on the earth that I can't do... " She said getting up from her seat saying to him.

"Then play with me! " He said to her in a challenging while Avni nodded accepting his challenge.

"Lets go!... And lets see who wins.. " She said with so much confidence while Neil nodded.

And they played Car Race game. Neil turned to see her fully lost into the game. She felt little difficult as she was playing for the first time but she didn't give up. He smiled and let her win.

"Ohhh No!! " He acted like he is disappointed after losing.

"Yeahhhhhhhhh!! " Avni squealed like a kid jumping and for the first time Neil witnessed this side of hers. Her eyes depicted that excitement of victory.

"See.. I told you na... There is nothing I can't do... " Avni said and again sat to play another game. Neil also gave in and they were again playing.

After sometime

They moved into shooting game. Neil was the first to play that and Avni was watching him. He hit it on the first shot while Neil had a proud look on his face as he did that. He raised his collar showing off to Avni and in the next shot he missed the target followed by the other making him pout while Avni laughed seeing him.

"My turn! " Avni said to him and got the gun from him.

She was fully focused on the target and the she hit the first one followed by other two. That is The hit was three in a row. Neil's jaw drop down seeing her good at shooting. Avni looked at him and pointed the gun at him.

"I never miss my target... " She said to him.

"Ahh!!.. I should be careful.. " He said and moved to next while Avni laughed and followed him.

Neil was playing dart game and he was so good at it but Avni couldn't able to put the dart perfectly. Avni admired him playing and she tries to do it but she couldn't able to do it and she miss it sometimes. Neil saw her.

"Avni... No you have to hold it like this... And don't stiff your hands.. Let it go freely.. " He taught her while Avni still hold the dart stiffly.

Neil moved towards her and stood behind her back. His one hand hold her by shoulders and other hand hold her hand moving it slowly. Avni turned her face to see him only to realize that they were so close and Neil was looking straight explaining about how to do it to her while Avni was only looking at him and was barely listening to him. By sensing the strong gaze , Neil turned his face to see her and their faces were an inch apart. They share an eyelock looking at each other.

"Huhmm! " Neil cleared his throat and they both together looked straight and Neil throw the dart holding Avni's hand and it got hit on the centre. Neil quickly moved backwards and slid his hands on his pockets. Avni turned to look at him happily

"Claw Machine!!... Let me present a toy for you!! " Neil said not looking at her and quickly moved towards that. Avni stood there trying the dart again and again untill she gets satisfied about it.

She came back after sometime and see him trying to pull the toy. ( Aishh!!.. I hate claw machine.. I never ever got succeeded in that.. Did claw machine ever worked for you?)

Avni tried in other machine and she couldn't able to make it though at the first try and they both together were trying again and again.

"I will never leave this place without getting you out.. " Avni said challenging with the machine and was trying.

"Mee too..." Neil said agreeing with her

Both of them become a kid without them realising. Its a new experience for Avni too as she never plays game but playing with him feels so nice to her. Neil could also able to see the Kid in Avni. He felt so nice playing with her too. And after everything, they could actually able to spend time with each other.

After the try, Avni successfully got succeeded and she flipped her hair in proud. Neil didn't noticed that and was just drowned in that game while Avni came near him.

"Here it is...This is for you! " She said giving the little soft toy panda to him. While Neil looked at her.

"Me??.. Soft toy?.. " He asked her with a blank face.

"Why?.. " She asked him confused.

"Like... I mean.... Girls prefer soft toys haina... " He asked her and scratched his hair.

"Is it?....I am not fond of this at all... " She said holding his hand, giving it to him while Neil furrowed his brows seeing her as suddenly her face dropped down. She left from there and stood there while she remembered something.

Flashback

A little girl was crying so badly holding her teddy.

"Arghhhh!!!... Stop crying!... I feel irritated ... " Said the other kid.

"Why did you do this?.... This was my...birthday present ....from my mumma and papa... " She said hiccuping up so badly. As the teddy was torn and the cotton were poking out. 

"I don't like it seeing you having this around! " Said the other kid and snatched the teddy from her throw away. The girl ran towards the teddy picking it in her hand

"But this is my teddu...My teddu..... You know right... I can't able to sleep without my teddu! " Said the girl and looked at her teddy. It was like a friend to her and the teddy even has a name which is teddu. She feels like to cry more whenever she sees that.

Flashback ends.

Avni just wandering around looking at the place taking a deep breath.

"Avni... " He called her while Avni turned hearing his voice and saw something in his hand. It's a little teddy. Avni looked at him.

"This is for you! " He said stretching the teddy towards her while she looked at the teddy and then him. She opened her mouth to deny it but before she could say , he spoke.

"You should appreciate my hard work... Argh!!.. I got really mad playing that... But finally... I got one too... For you .. " He said to her while Avni remained silent. Neil frowned seeing her not accepting the teddy. He think for a second and then spoke.

"Hii Avni!!... I am teddu... Nice to meet you! " He hid his face behind the teddy and spoke in kiddish tone shaking the hand of the teddy while Avni looked at him with a shocked face when he said teddu.

"Teddu? " She asked him while he moved the teddy from his face and looked at her

"Ahh!!.. Sorry... Nothing came in my mind other than this name... " He said scratching his forehead in embarrassment cursing himself for the bad name he chose.

Avni chuckled while Neil looked at her and took a deep breath seeing her smiling.

"Thank god!... You smiled instead of laughing seeing my poor sense of choosing the names ..." Neil said while Avni smiled widely hearing him.

"I love this name teddu" She said looking at the teddy.

"Then here is your teddu... Please ah... Don't deny" He said giving it to her while Avni took it from him smiling looking at the teddy.

Neil looked at her observing her. He wondered why she told like she is not so fond of soft toys but her eyes says different stories to him. She was looking at the teddy lovingly as like it's so precious to her. But he is happy seeing her smiling.
