Days Passed by,

At Night

Neil's sleep was disturbed suddenly while he opened his eyes with annoyance and stroked his face. He looked beside and found her sleeping near him with her head on her hand which is rested on the table. She was sleeping in a totally uncomfortable position.

"Yeh ladki bhi na" He murmured looking at her as today was so hectic for her. And finally she cracked the deal of which she was working on from past days.

His hand moved towards her but stopped thinking whether to wake her or not. By thinking alot, he decided to give in.

"Avni.. " He shaked her a little while her sleep broken but still she looks so tired and sleepy. She looked at him in sleepy eyes.

"Get up!!... Sleep on the bed.. " He made her to stand up and took her near the bed and made her lye down.

He was about to go but stopped and looked at her and covered her with duvet. He was again about to move but again stopped when she hold his hand. He turned and looked at her whose eyes were still closed.

"Don't go.. " Her sleepy voice came lowly and she dozed off. He still looked at her and tried to remove her hand slowly from him but her hold was too tight.

He sat down on the floor with their hands still holding each other and was looking at her. Her bushy straight eyebrows, her Sharp Nose, and her mole on the upper lip and he was looking at her perfect facial features. Avni turned in sleep towards him making him break his trance. He was startled for a minute and just composed himself. He then looked at her other hand which has that scar.

The wound was healed but the scar was still there. He stroked those scar gently and what she said ringed in his mind.

Flashback

Avni was looking at her hand sitting on the bed. Neil reached there and looked at her.

" Is that paining? " He asked her while she lifted her face to look at him.

"No! " She replied while he face palmed himself for asking her as she never tells him anything

He didn't cared and moved towards her and hold her hand to see.

" The wound has healed.. " He said to her

"Yeahhh...But the scar will never be gone...." She said while he looked at her and saw her still looking at her hand

"And there are some wounds where the wound will never get healed but the scar would have been gone... " She said unconsciously still looking at her hand and he could understand the indirect meaning of her words.

" The wounds can be still be healed... It's never been too late... " He said while her eyes met his hearing him. He said indirectly to her that he will heal her all the wounds. Avni just kept on looking at him when she understood the meaning of his sentence.

Flashback ends

"May be her soul has those wound...May be that's why its hard for me to visually see.." He said to her.

"Just trust me once Avni... I will make sure Your every wounds and your pain gets healed. " He said and his hand moved towards her and he pinned her baby hairs behind her ears making sure she don't get disturbed.

He slowly placed his head on the bed and was still looking at her as like she will vanish if he close his eyes.

The Next Morning

Avni woke up and her head immediately moved towards the side as she felt some one presence . She saw him sleeping keeping his head on the bed and their hands were tangled.

"Yeh Neil bhi na.... Why he is sleeping here so uncomfortably.... " She said in worried tone and slowly tried to removed his hand from her while he hold her tight and pulled her closer to him in sleep. Their face were an inch apart and Avni was looking at him and his eyes were still closed . He opened his eyes slowly waking up and saw her close. Their eyes drowned into each other.

Her phone rang making them jerk away from each other. Neil rushed towards washroom while Avni attended the call.
Neil moved towards the sink and flashed water on his face and all he could remember was her angelic face and their close proximity. Whereas Avni attended the call and what she heard, made her shocked.

Later on

Neil came back after getting freshen up. Avni quickly came near him as soon as she saw him.

"What took you so long? " She immediately asked him when she saw him coming.

"Vo... I was just freshening up! " He said and understood her serious face.

"Neil... Your Mom got admitted in Hospital... " She said in a go while he was taken aback hearing her.

"Wh... What?!!! " He asked her in shockness and his face totally changed.

Within sometime

They reached the hospital and Neil asked the receptionist about Shwetha and they both went there.

They saw Prakash sitting there while Riya was consoling him.

"Neil.. " Riya said seeing him while Prakash looked at Neil and then Avni. Riya angrily looked at Avni.

"Papa... Mom... Mom ko kya hua? " He asked in tensed tone.

"Why did you came here?.. To see whether she is dead or alive? " He yelled at him while Neil closed his eyes hearing him and again looked at him.

"Papa.. Please tell me how is she?... What happened to her? " He asked him again.

"Why should I?... Who we are to you? " He asked him gritting his teeth while Neil gave a blank face. Avni came near him and was about to say something while Neil hold her hand stopping her. Avni looked at him while he nodded negatively. Avni just left from there

"Just leave I don't even want to see your face... " He said sternly.

Neil knows he won't say anything. He was about to go in to the room to see Shwetha while Prakash didn't let him.

"I will never let you see her Neil... " He said in so much anger. Avni left from there in anger.

"Papa please... " He pleased him

"See...Tunhare biwi chali gay hai...Just GO!!!... You are no one to us.... Jaathe jaathe yeh samaj lene ki Tumhare Maa aur baap margay hai... " Tears slipped from his eyes hearing him and Prakash pushed him while Riya just hold him and took him from there.

"Neil... You please don't worry... " Riya said to him holding him by his shoulder

"How can I not worry Riya? " He asked crying looking down while she hugged him taking this as a chance. She patted his back pacifying him

"I am there na... Aunty is better now... She stressed alot thinking about you and just fallen ill.... Dont worry Neil... I will take care of her .... Just don't mind what uncle has told.... " Riya said consoling him.

"Thank You Riya... " He said crying and just hugged her back in friendly way feeling like someone is atleast there for him to tell him that His mom is better.

Avni at the same time reached there and looked at them hugging. She clutched her fist seeing the scene in front of her. Her face turned into anger seeing Riya who was patting his shoulder. She walked up to them angrily.
