"DeerKit?DeerKit?"

I heard a soft,sweet voice lightly meowed. Then i heard shuffling. My eyes fluttered opened and I staggered up. My legs began to tremble. Then I gained balance. I met my mothers Amber gaze. Her eyes puffy from crying."You haven't eaten,DeerKit. You must eat this." Mother then nudged a starling to me. I slowly padded towards it and sniffed it. I sat down and lowered my head,above it with my eyes closed. "I'm not hungry."My voice was a bit crackly from crying to much. "But you must! You haven't eaten last night.-" she laid her tail on my shoulders-" you need energy to be a great warrior." She meowed. I felt anger bubble up. "Why can't I just die instead? I'd be safe in StarClan than here.-" I scoffed-" I'm gonna die anyways after when I join the elders den!" I hissed. Mothers eyes widened with shock then softened. "You don't mean that." She soothed. She rubbed her tail up and down on my back. I let out a low growl and nudged her tail away from me and rolled my eyes. "You don't know that." I meowed sternly. "Of course I do,Sweetheart. You know I once said something horrible like that... I didn't mean it. I just didn't wanna admit it. " she sighed. "I'll give you time then. If you don't wanna talk to me. That's fine. I'll leave you alone." I stared ahead with my eyebrows still narrowed. Then I heard shuffling I looked back and met my mothers gaze. I gasped and turned still with my eye brows narrowed. I glanced back and saw just her light ginger back. She was facing the other way. My eyes softened. I padded towards her and went where her belly fur exposed. I began to rub my head between her forepaws while I purred on her. " I'm sorry momma I'll eat the starling." I meowed looking at her face. She had her eyes closed. One eye opened and the eyeball looked at me. "Thank you." She lightly meowed. "After,you may go outside with FoxKit and WildKit." I nodded and scrambled back while I bounded towards my meal.

After I ate,I gave my mother a lick goodbye,then padded outside the nursery den. I spotted FoxKit,his green gaze was following a butterfly as it was flying back and forth above his head. I giggled and scampered towards him. " Hey FoxKit?" He hummed a hi while he was still focused on it. "Can I help you catch it?" I asked. "I guess" he replied. "Okay." I quickly got on a hunters crouch. "No! Not like that!" Scowled FoxKit. I jumped back startled. "Why not?" "Because you have to wait till it lands on a leaf or a flower." He looked at me with green eyes. 'So dreamy.' I sighed. My eyes batted while looking deep in his big handsome green eyes.. Technically he thought something else:/."What? Do I have it on my face?" He meowed anxiously,while he began to swat in front of his face. Then I watched the real butterfly flutter away. I began to let out load of mrrows. "What in the name of StarClan your doing?" Meowed WildKit scampering over next me with a smile on his face. You could tell FoxKit is showing that he's the weird littermate. 'Oh WildKit. Your even worse.'

"DeerKit looked at me as if I had that stupid butterfly on my face!" He meowed while he stopped swatting. WildKit chuckled. "Your even stupider than the butterfly." He laughed. FoxKit slouched. His eyes flashed with hurtness. "Why can't you leave me alone,WildKit. All I am to you is a waste of space" I gasped and looked at him with sorry eyes. Then I turned at the laughing kit. "Seriously? I don't think that,FoxDung?"I growled and leaped on him.
"QUIT CALLING HIM THAT AND STOP LAUGHING AT HIM!!!" I shrieked. I swiped at his muzzle while he let out a a wail of pain. "YOUR NOT EVEN BETTER THAN HIM!!! YOUR A STUPID KIT TOO!!! YOUR EVEN MORE STUPIDER, WILDSTAR!!" I spat in his face. He winced over my unsheathed claws digging on his shoulder and sides. "Get off!" He breathed.
"DEERKIT!"
A loud yowl came from behind. WhiteSplash.
I growled and released
. I stood next to FoxKit,who was surprised that a she-kit .stood up for him." Your lucky this time WildKit." I mumbled watching him stagger up painfully wincing at his shoulders. "WhiteBerry!" RowanFur shrieked. The white and black SheCat emerged out of her den. She gasped as she caught the injured kits face. She raced towards WildKit. She sniffed and started to lick his wounds. "Who did this?" She hissed looking at me and FoxKit. Her blue eyes burning with fury. "I did." I confessed. I stepped forward. "Why?" She meowed narrowing her eyes. "No I did. I'm the one who leaped at him." I jumped as FoxKit stepped forward next to me. "FoxKit." I whispered to him anxiously. "I got it." He whispered back. "Well then. Let's go have a talk with your mother.-" she picked up WildKit by his scruff and padded towards her den FoxKit followed behind-"RowanFur! Come to my den please."
I turned and sighed. I gasped as I met mother burning,fury Amber gaze ,that was once sweet and light this morning. "It's nap time.-" she gestured her head towards the nursery den. "Now." She hissed. I stomped in and sat on the nest,waiting for mother to settle herself. "I just got outside." I huffed. Mother settled herself and licked her paw then swiped on her face. Mother sighed and looked at me with softened eyes. "DeerKit. Your 4moons old! You should be able to act responsible and quit acting like that with WildKit." Again,anger bubbled up. "HES BEING RUDE TO FOXKIT EVER SINCE THEY SLED OUT OF ROWANFUR!!" I hissed. Mother just shook her head and leaned forward to lick me then I stepped back. "No." I growled. Mother stared at me with sad eyes. My father appeared after. "Hey what happened.." His voice trailed off as he saw me bristling while my eyes burning with fury. Then he caught mothers glance. "She's at it again." She whispered to him.' At what again?'
I caught a glimpse of tears. Then I looked at father. He sighed. "Go get fresh kill,WhiteSplash.. and some fresh air. I'll talk to her." Mother heaved herself up and padded out giving me one quick glance then vanished. I lightly growled. "Now DeerKit? What happened? Yesterday you were happy as ever." He meowed licking my head. "Ya but... SongPelt.....-" my voice cracked. A knot formed in my throat.'Why her?' . "Hush,now." He meowed rubbing his nose on mine. "Your clanmates and I killed that Fox. It took our kins live and we took the foxes kins kin." He meowed pulling back. "I saw what you did to young,WildKit." His ear twitched. "Why?" His eyes narrowed. I shuffled my paws while I lowered my head,ashamed. "He was being mean to FoxKit.-" I growled. "Every single day!" I started to bristle. "Now. Now,my daughter." He chuckled. To my surprise he didn't scowl at me. "You and him might be future mates. And you don't need my blessings." He teased with admiration in his dark blue eyes. "Oh daddy." I blushed rubbing my head on his fore leg. "I love you." I meowed. Purring. "I love you to." He purred,licking my ears. Then we both heard ruffling from behind. "DeerKit. RedStar. It's getting late." She looked at me with sad Amber gaze. "We must rest." Then she met my father wise dark blue gaze. "You may continue your duty." She meowed licking his muzzle. Father twitched his ears and nodded. He got on all four and nuzzled my muzzle. "Goodnight, my sweet little SheCats." He meowed vanishing through the vines that hang. I looked up at mother then scanned the nursery. "I guess FoxKit literally got into trouble?" Mother looked at me while she had a serious face. "I know it was you." She meowed seriously.Then She giggled. "I heard your father. You don't need my blessings either." She winked. I giggled and gave her cheek an affectionate lick. "Night." She meowed laying her head on her front paws. I sat there watching her. Her ribs became shallow. 'Finally. Asleep.'
I slipped out of the nursery den and padded towards the medicine den.
"I'm sorry FoxKit. I really am."
'Yea right.'
"I'm sorry to,WildKit."
'He isn't much.'
"Now you two must promise your mother and I. That you won't fight each other. But you'll fight together side by side,against intruders. Promise?"
That's when I peeked in. FoxKit and WildKit nodded. "We promise." FoxKit meowed. I could still see hurt in his eyes. "But fighting together. How cool is that?" He meowed while his whiskers twitched with excitement looking at his brother,the sadness leaving while excitement flooded up. "Ohhhhhhh yeeaaaa." WildKit meowed with a relaxed voice in his tone. 'I swear their voices are getting deep.'
" Now let's go and rest. It's barely Moonhigh and I'm very tired; you two must need your sleep.-" she chuckled"- if you want to be fighting side by side. You need your energy' she gathered her kits with her tail." Night WhiteBerry." "Night WhiteBerry!" The two young toms meowed in sync. The white and black she cat let out a mrrow of amusement. "See you tomorrow. "
I scampered back to the nursery den pushing myself in. I bounded toward mother and laid on the nest closing my making my breathing shallow to make me look asleep. "Oh boy. We'd be the best fighters ever!" I heard FoxKit yowl,then ruffling. "You bet." WildKit chuckled. "Hush now. WhiteSplash and DeerKit are asleep. Now we must sleep." Wow RowanFur is in a rush on sleeping. I heard shuffling and she quickly started to snore. 'SleepyHead'
Moments later while my eyes didn't want to open, I heard small light shuffling on a nest. Not one but two.
" Okay FoxKit. Nows our chance!" I heard WildKit whisper. "Yea but what about DeerKit? Can't she come to? I mean I'm sure that she's sorry abut what she did to you." I heard FoxKit whispered. Then WildKit sighed in annoyance. " I regret telling you two that you'll fall in love and have kits together." He whispered back with annoyance in his tone. FoxKit chuckled. "Well how much you wanna bet that'll happen." He meowed with affectionate in his tone. I heard WildKit snort." I bet you would,now wake your pretty sleepy tail up." I heard FoxKits paw steps approaching me. "I know." I meowed light ,opening my eyes looking up with a smirk in my face. FoxKit jumped back and slouched. He groaned."Oooooo she heard you FoxKit!" Teased WildKit. I smiled and nuzzled FoxKits muzzle he brightened up and sat up straight." Yea and I didn't disagree with it. " I meowed giving WildKit a serious face then giving FoxKits cheek a small affectionate lick . WildKit watched with shock. Then jealousy flooded in his Amber eyes. "Let's go." He lightly growled. He quietly stomped out of the nursery den. FoxKit and I padded out side by side. "You really mean it? " he meowed surprised. "Yea why not. But we'll wait till we're warriors. First I want to finish up training,once were apprentices. So don't get any ideas-" I smirked at him. He nodded " That doesn't mean we won't be best friends right? I mean we can't be mates right now." I flicked my ear for silence. "Of course we are." "Forever?" "And Ever." I finished him. He giggled and head butted my side. I cuffed his ear softly. "Cmon love birds!" WildKit whispered/yelled. All three of us slipped out the camp and headed toward the river.
