Ignore mistakes, please

Third person P.O.V

Taehyung was stealing glances over the other who was silently preparing the clothes for both of them.

Last night was one of the heaviest ones for the merman. He couldn't even blink for a moment, guilt was eating him up. He just sat there with a little hope to wake up from this nightmare but all of his hopes crashed when the night turned into morning and the person in front of him woke up with a bunny smile.

"Tae? Do you want to roam around? Are you feeling better?" Jungkook softly asked when he saw the merman spacing out, one thing he was doing too much since he came back to his senses. 

"I- fine. You.. ok?" Taehyung ignored the question by him and asked in turn.

Jungkook cocked his brow but smiled before walking straight to the other who was sitting on the bed after having a lecture in the morning for sitting on the floor.

Jungkook sat beside him and stretched his hand to touch the other's cheeks but Taehyung quickly turned his head to the other side to avoid that, of course, Jungkook noticed that and felt a considerable amount of pain from the behavior but he ignored it.

Pulling back his hand to himself, he sighed and started softly.

"You know you can talk to me, bub, don't keep secrets to yourself." Taehyung bit his lips as he felt the human going into distress.

"You are- in pain." Taehyung croaked out in his hoarse voice and Jungkook couldn't help but frown at that. Then he recalled the merman's words he could feel his feelings meant he was feeling what was going on with his mind and body.

Cursing under his breath, he chuckled lightly and shook his head.

"No, I am not. It's just I couldn't sleep the last few days but now I am well." He gave an assuring smile but Taehyung gave him a look of disbelief.

"What? You aren't believing me? That's rude you know." Jungkook pouted and tried to make the other laugh but Taehyung's expression didn't change.

"Oookk! Now you are looking so serious, hun. Don't be like that." Jungkook whined, trying his best to prove his point but little did he know, the merman in front of him was crying tears of blood in his heart. 

Taehyung hung his head low and sighed loudly.

"Why humans.. lie?"

"Hunh?" Jungkook was surprised by the sudden question.

"Why do humans lie? W-why are you lying?" Taehyung breathed out, his eyes shining due to lingering tears, causing Jungkook to feel more surprised.

"Tae?-"

"You are in-pain. You are- lying." Taehyung mumbled, loud enough to be heard by the human.

"I am not-"

"YOU ARE!" Taehyung yelled... TAEHYUNG YELLED?

Jungkook was beyond shocked at the outburst of the brunet. He could see how the merman was shaking and tightening his fists, something very unusual as Taehyung was always very polite, at least in this form when his true form was not there. 

"YOU ARE LYING, YOU ARE IN PAIN JUNGKOOK. STOP LYING TO ME.. I CAN FEEL- I can feel your pain." His voice fell at the end and he ended up covering his face with his palms and letting out a sob.

Jungkook sat there dumbfounded, he was short of actions, not knowing what to do.

"I told you, stay away but you didn't- now see. You are in pain, because of me." Taehyung's muffled voice was so hurtful and Jungkook felt his eyes stinging too.

Amidst the heartbreaking cries, he still felt a sense of warmth, other was feeling his pain and was crying for him?

He scooped Taehyung suddenly in his arms and practically lifted him to sit over his lap. Taehyung squealed in surprise when he landed on Jungkook's lap. He tried to struggle and move away but Jungkook was known as a muscle bunny for some reason.

"Sit still," Jungkook said in a sort of authoritative voice and Taehyung just lost his fight by the tone.

Smiling at that, Jungkook put his chin over Taehyung's brown hair and sniffed the calming scent of him, a sweet and flowery scent that always made him wonder where did it comes from, but whatever it was, the male was his.

"If you can feel my pain if you can feel that I am lying, then can't you see that it was all because you were slipping away from me? This all happened because I was so much scared to lose you, so-so scared." Jungkook nuzzled in his hair and Taehyung closed his eyes and snuggled a bit more to inhale the other's scent as well.

"Then why you are still in pain? I am fine now." Taehyung mumbled and Jungkook froze for a brief moment before pulling back to see Taehyung's eyes directly.

He wiped the tears softly and kissed Taehyung's nose tip lightly.

"I am just tired bun, nothing to worry about," Jungkook said, his breath fanning over Taehyung's cheeks.

Taehyung felt a pang in his heart, how much he wanted to tell the other what was actually happening with him.. but he couldn't.. he just can't.

"Let's go to the shower," Jungkook announced after pecking the cheeks of the merman. Taehyung compiled but he again felt the same pain in his heart when Jungkook entered the washroom in hurry, without any thought, he rushed with his wobbly legs to see the other and his heart dropped.

Jungkook was leaning over the basin, blood coming from his mouth and nose without any break, making him panic. In hurry, he forgot to lock the door which made it easier for the worried merman to follow him.

When Jungkook saw another reflection in the mirror, he panicked more and quickly washed his face and rinsed his mouth... but more blood come out instantly. Once it stopped, he finally washed it and turned to Taehyung, feigning a smile as if nothing happened. 

"Taehyung, don't wor-" He tried to grab the other's hand but Taehyung stopped him midway by stepping back, his head shaking lightly in disbelief, and his tears were freely falling on the floor. Jungkook felt lightheaded by the former pain but he tried his best to shrug it off for the sake of his boy.

"Baby, please. Don't worry about it, it's just-"

"No.. don't come near me." Taehyung said in almost a whisper and turned on his heel and walked to the bed. Falling like a soulless body on the mattress, he grabbed his chest tightly.

"Tae-"

"Call Jimin or hyung." Taehyung said without looking at him.

Jungkook frowned and come forth but his head was spinning too much and he almost fell in the way if it wasn't for Taehyung who caught him.

"Don't take me wrong please... please.. i- I can't hurt you more." The guilt was taking a troll over his mind now. He had to decide something at this time... he had to.

He managed to make Jungkook lay on the bed while keeping the minimum touch with his body. Jungkook's eyes were rolling back to his head but he tried to grab Taehyung's hand that was working to cover his body with blankets, tears falling continuously on the bed.

"Tae, w- why are you crying bub.. i- i- I am fine," Jungkook gulped with much difficulty, still trying his best not to show his weakness in front of an already distressed merman... oblivious of the fact that the Taehyung was well aware of his condition, every ounce of pain he was going through.. more than him.

Taehyung gulped visibly and took his shaky hands away quickly when Jungkook tried to grab it. His eyes quickly located a new cell phone of Jungkook that was placed on the side table, grabbed it, and licked his lips, not knowing how to work on this new phone. He looked over at Jungkook who was muttering something while rubbing his forehead with a pained expression., causing his finger to shake over the smooth surface of the device. 

Somehow he opened the screen lock and then the contacts. Jungkook did teach him how to call someone. Now all he needed to find Jin or Jimin's contact and when he did, he quickly dialed the number.

"Hello?"

"Jimin? I-it's me Taehyung.. p- please come here.. Jungkook needs you. Please come here... soon. H-he isn't good.. please." He was literally crying while saying so and heard Jimin's gasp.

"Calm down Tae, ok ok. I am coming there just keep calm and try to call a doctor- no.. no not the doctor.. ok fine I am leaving right now, just stay strong ok?"

"O- ok. Please hurry." Taehyung sniffle and ended the call with a heavy heart. Eyes fell on Jungkook who seemed in half-consciousness, bringing his heart to dip in deep pain all over again.

Sitting on the floor on his knees, he faced the human with his teary eyes.

"You know, you are the best thing that happened in my life Jungkook." He smiled, his body trying to produce some extra scent to soothe the human as he was keeping himself from touching him, even when his fingers were shaking to do so, he wouldn't.

"I- never felt this happy- in my whole life. You gave me the best moments of life... best ones." A sad chuckle left his lips, recalling the sweetest things Jungkook did for him, the kindest gestures, and of course, the love.

"I fell for you.. so deep in love.. so deep that I feel like dying on the thought of l-eaving you". A sob interrupted him and he inhaled to calm himself, although the task was too difficult. 

"You make me fall in love.. that is deeper than the sea.. my love for you is so much deep Jungkook." More tears fell on the wooden floor, and his eyes kept staring at the almost sleeping boy, without blinking.

"And I didn't fall for you because you turned out to be my mate.. but because you are kind, humble... l- lovable. Y- you deserve so much dear." He breathed out shakily, heart clenching with each word as he had finally decided what to do.

"So much happiness and a peaceful life.. a long one." With that, he got up from the floor and licked his lips again before leaning over the human.

His tears fell over Jungkook's cheeks when he leaned more, his nose was almost touching Jungkook's... his wet lashes slightly brushing over others' cheeks, and his heart, it was thudding against his ribcage, warning him not to do so, because it was going to hurt... a lot.

"I've to... I have to do it... I have to be selfish for you." He said in a whisper as he leaned more and pecked on Jungkook's lips for a brief second, his one hand grabbing Jungkook's wrist with the mark on.

More tears fell on Jungkook's skin and a smile formed on his lips, he reminded himself that... it's for Jungkook's betterment.

A shaky breath left his lips as he brought other's wrists near to his lips, looking at Jungkook's face who had his eyes closed.

"I love you.. so much. I will never forget about you. I promise.. just a bit more pain." He mumbled before taking a deep breath and closing his eyes focusing on his powers, this time intentionally with the hope that it would work for him.

The only way... the only thing... the only solution that he found out during the last sleepless night. All he had to do was suck on the mark with his real teeth.. the merman teeth while using his powers to take all the pain from Jungkook's body to his own... something like taking over the curse over himself.

But in turn, he won't be able to see Jungkook again..... never ever.

His body shivered badly as he felt his heart thumping way loudly and his teeth changing, taking the hint he dug his teeth into Jungkook's wrist to receive a groan of pain from the latter.. causing him to let out more tears from his full white eyes.

He suck on the mark, the blood of his human entered his mouth and he felt his head start spinning with every passing second. He placed his one hand over Jungkook's heart, feeling the pain there and the loud thumps under his palm.

Once he felt that Jungkook's body was out of pain, he let go of the other's wrist. His lips were blue instead of pink or red.... the poison of the curse was now in his body... completely.

He smiled happily though it came out as a weak one and got up on his wobbly legs.

"I- it worked." He muttered satisfied.

"Wish you a happy life Jungkook... a life without a danger, like me." He tried to lean for the last peck on Jungkook's lips but his heart throb so badly that he stopped midway. He couldn't even touch his human now, and he had to face what Jungkook was about to feel. But being true love, he paid a heavy amount to relieve the other's pain.. to save the other's life
