Third person P.O.V

What did he see?

A mark... a curse mark on Jungkook's hand that touched his specific spot on the tail. But when he opened his eyes, there wasn't any real mark over the skin of the other. He was so much shocked to see that mark as the mark was considered as the death sign.. a curse.

"Tae? Are you ok?" Jungkook asked when he saw the other spacing out with a frown. Merman slightly nodded his head and he really wanted to tell the human what he saw but he preferred to be silent till he get another sign of whether he just hallucinated or that was something else.

"You seem worried, um.. is it because I touched you?" The way Jungkook said with guilty and sadness written over his face, Taehyung's heart dropped.

"No! I liked that!." He blurted out in a rather high voice, startling the raven-haired.

"Um.. i-mean. No worry." Taehyung smiled a bit to make sure that everything is fine but internally he was panicking about what he saw.

Jungkook moved back to sit near Taehyung, he also stopped rubbing his numb fingers. He wanted to ask some more questions but was stopped by a sound outside of the bathroom. They both heard some clicking noise and soon a figure entered the bathroom while heaving heavily. 

"Oh Gosh... I thought you actually kicked him out." Jin huffed out after taking a deep breath to calm himself from all the running he just did.

Jungkook frowned at his condition, older was in his pjs.. hair disheveled and sort of wet while he was wearing slippers.

Taehyung was so confused about the situation that he just hid behind Jungkook and rested his head on Jungkook's shoulder just as before.

Jin cocked his brow when he received no response.

"Yah! You two, what are you even doing?" The tall male snapped over the younger and finally, Jungkook decided to leave the bathtub to avoid any kind of misunderstanding by his overly protective hyung. But as he moved away, Taehyung's body became exposed to the older whose face turned like that of a comic character.

"WHAT THE!-"

"Please Hyung, don't overreact." He wasn't ready for another argument with his hyung so his tone came out a bit rude.

"Jungkook!.. talk nice." Taehyung scolded the other from the back with a frown and a pout on his lips and Jin swore he forgot for a moment what he saw.

Jungkook sighed and mumbled a sorry before getting out of the bathroom with Jin and leaving Taehyung to rest there.

He dragged the totally surprised older to his own room and made him sit on the couch, walking to his closet to change hurriedly.

"He is- a real merman... a tail.. oh God!  A FOOKING TAIL.. BLUE HAIR... EYES-" Jin was screaming with wide eyes, his mind was playing the scene in front of his eyes in repeat like a broken reel.

Jungkook bit his lips and carefully sat beside the other, grabbing his hand in his own.

"Hyung... listen to me." He gently started and Jin gave him attention.

"He is a merman but as you can see... he isn't dangerous at all." Jin's expressions were blank but Jungkook continued speaking.

"I can't let him go like that. He is weak due to last night's event. Moreover, he is so innocent, I am sorry but I can't-"

"DON'T!" Jin again startled the younger who gave him a look of confusion.

"Don't let him go you pabo. How can he go out like that? Oh God... I am so glad that you didn't listen to me. I couldn't sleep at the thought of him being on the streets. You are right, he is so innocent in this world. Now it makes sense why he is unaware of everything here. He needs to be protected by someone, someone who can actually care for him." Jin ranted out with his shaky hands and Jungkook smiled at his words, making him proud, he squeezed the older's hand.

"And I am happy that you do care for him," Jin sighed with a smile, a kind smile.

Jungkook's eyes sparkled with hope and he jumped on the bed to face the older male properly.

"Wait wait wait! Are you trying to say that he can stay here?" Jin rolled his eyes before snacking his head lightly.

"Of course, he can stay here but-"

"But WHAT!?"

"One of us has to be here for his care," Jin stated, tapping over his chin and Jungkook frowned again.

"He is a quick learner, hyung." Jungkook frowned when Jin again got wide-eyed again, grabbing his shoulders while shaking him aggressively.

"HE IS REALLY A MERMAN KOOK! A REAL FOOKING MERMAN." Jungkook rolled his eyes but chuckled at Jin's face, his hyung was really something else.

Taehyung sat on his bed after spending two hours in the bathtub. It was already 1 am at night but Jungkook was still awake.

Jin was also sitting on the couch, just staring at the merman who was eating cut pieces of meat that Jungkook did for him.

"Stop staring, hyung." Jungkook whispered in Jin's ear as he placed water near Taehyung's bed.

"It's ok.. he stare." Taehyung said with a smile and puffy cheeks, getting both males by surprise because Jungkook really said it in a very low voice and yet, he heard it.

"How he heard you?" Jin whispered again and Taehyung giggled at that.

"My senses are- good." He proudly announced with a box smile... a smile that was now Jungkook's favorite. He moved towards the bed and patted Taehyung's brown hair affectionately.

"Are you really not angry that Jin Hyung also knows about you?" He asked with concern but his heart melted at the answer along with Jin's.

"No. He is- brother. Family- protects." A beaming smile made two humans coo at the other specie. Jin couldn't help but got up from his seat and marched to the bed, engulfing the merman in his arms protectively.

"Hyung will protect, you little one. I will definitely protect you." Jin said with a voice full of emotions. He pulled back to see the same beaming smile of the merman so he kissed his forehead gently while patting his hair too.

"You are really so precious. Oh God! Now I have to take care of two babies." He fakes pouting at the end causing Jungkook to chuckle at his act.

"Hyung is- precious too." Taehyung added with a clap and hugged Jin again, causing Jungkook to roll his tongue inside his mouth.

What a dual personality!

"Ok ok.. now it's quite late. Hyung, stay here and sleep in another guest room. Taehyung also needs to rest." He quickly butted in while pushing older a bit away from the merman. He started dragging the older one out of the room who wore a scowl on his face at the sudden act.

"See you in the morning Tae.. Good night~" Jin's voice became faded as Jungkook dragged him quickly away from the room of his Taehyung.

Once Jin was settled on the bed, ready to sleep, Jungkook left his room and went to Taehyung's room. He slowly opened the door to see the other sitting on his bed, deep in thought.. a frown on his forehead and a pout on his lips.

Jungkook's lips turned into a thin line, he walked forth to the bed and sat beside the spacing-out merman.

"What are you thinking, hun?" He started carefully in low voice, careful enough not to startle the boy.

Taehyung's frown disappeared quickly noticing Jungkook looking at him. His eyes darted toward the hand of Jungkook and let out a sigh of relief when he found no mark.

It was a hallucination.

He thought and out of a sudden, hugged Jungkook who immediately caught him.

"Woah woah.. easy there." Raventte chuckled when Taehyung pressed his body onto him to feel the warmth. He moved his hands down on Taehyung's back to rub over there, a soft smile on his lips.

"Are you feeling ok now?" He again asked and felt Taehyung nodding on his shoulder.

"Hm.. not in the mood to talk?"

Taehyung pulled back and pouted before poking Jungkook's cheek with his finger. Jungkook cocked his brow with the same smile, finding the sight heart melting.

"What's that for?"

"I am- sleepy." Taehyung mumbled while still poking Jungkook's cheek, who smirked before suddenly turning his face while pretending to bite on Taehyung's finger but he was surprised that how quickly the other averted his hand back with opened mouth.

"Bad human." Taehyung again pouted and Jungkook chuckled before grabbing Taehyung's hand softly and kissing the back of his palm... lips lingering there for longer.. causing merman to blush.

"Still bad?" Jungkook breathe out when he finally pulled back and looked up at Taehyung's eyes.

"No. He is- so nice." Taehyung replied and smiled widely. He again surprised his human when he almost fell on Jungkook's lap and quickly settled himself comfortably. Jungkook was shocked but felt his heart thumping loudly when the brunet snuggled his face in his chest, legs on both sides of his waist.

"Want to stay here... like that." A sleepy voice came out of his lips and Jungkook bit his own but wrapped his arms around him, he felt the other's figure slightly slumping in his arms, so he also leaned down on the bed, keeping him on his chest as he laid there with the merman in his arms.

"I also want to stay like that Tae.. forever." Finding his own heart thumping in joy, he mumbled and heard a little snicker from his chest as the other rubbed his nose over his shirt.

"Tae will stay with his human." Jungkook's grip tightened over Taehyung's body hearing those words, hearing 'his human, a sense of pride once again prevailed all over his body. Soon he felt soft snores and little puffs of hot breaths hitting his chest. Within minutes of the peaceful atmosphere, he also felt his eyes getting heavy and fell asleep with his newly found love in his arms.

The next morning, Taehyung was the one to wake up early, only to find Jungkook sleeping under his body while protectively gripping his waist.

He smiled widely and leaned forward to kiss Jungkook's nose while blushing madly... but he yelped when he was spun in an instant, his body hit the mattress as now Jungkook was hovering over him with a smirk.

"So bold of you hun." He said in his hoarse voice as Taehyung just blinked his eyes with red cheeks.

"Sorry." He mumbled, his eyes traveling down on the mattress and Jungkook felt guilty for making the innocent one sad. He leaned more and kissed Taehyung's nose too, then his lips traveled on the soft skin of the cheeks.. then to his jaw. His lips moved so slowly and so gently over the skin that Taehyung shut his eyes while enjoying the touch, every small sensation.

"Don't be sorry hun. I love it when you show me your affection." Jungkook mumbled against his skin and pecked near Taehyung's lips before leaning back with an assuring smile.

"Show me more often." Jungkook demanded with a serious tone but chuckled amusedly when Taehyung nodded his head obediently.

"JEON JUNGKOOK! IF YOU DON'T GET READY IN 10 MINUTES.. I WILL BEAT YOUR A** UP WITH THIS SPATULA." A very loud voice made both flinched and Jungkook cursed inaudibly, but still, he managed a quick peck at Taehyung's cheek once again before running towards his own room.

Taehyung lay there in a daze, brushing his fingers where he could feel the soft lips of his human still lingering warmth. He closed his eyes but his heart dropped, his eyes shoot open in horror when he realized one thing..... the thing he noticed when Jungkook left the room.

"The curse mark."
