Ignore mistakes, please

Third person P.O.V

Taehyung was still hugging and clinging to Jungkook who didn't mind a bit the colder body of the merman attached to his own. He was rubbing soothing circles as now Taehyung was sniffing only, very much calmed than before. 

"Feeling better?" He asked softly and Taehyung slightly nodded on his chest. The scent and closeness of his human made him feel better.

Jungkook felt a rush of relief from his response. Soon, the doorbell rang and Jin knocked on the door of the room.

"Doctor is here Kook." He informed and Jungkook told him to come inside.

The doctor came inside the room and greeted two males.

Jungkook tried to get up from the bed but Taehyung again grabbed his wrist with a horrified expression, so he ended up sitting back near the merman.

"What is your name?" The doctor started politely with a smile but Taehyung was trying to hide behind Jungkook's body and the latter did notice that.

"It's ok Tae, he is here to check you up. No need to be afraid." He mumbled softly near Taehyung's ear, trying to make him understand. Taehyung looked up with his doe eyes to see assurance in his human eyes, so he slightly backed away to give a response to the new male in the room.

"T- Taehyung." He stuttered out and again hid his face in Jungkook's chest. Jungkook gave a sheepish smile to the doctor and Jin who had his eyes slightly narrowed.

"Um, he is a little shy with strangers." Jungkook chuckled and tried to move Taehyung a bit away to that the  Doctor could check him.

"It's ok. How is he feeling?" The polite man asked with the same professional smile.

"He is feeling lightheaded and complaining about a headache," Jungkook replied instead of Taehyung and the doctor nodded his head and took out his little device to check Taehyung's temperature.

When he was about to touch him, Taehyung quickly jumped back and whimpered.

"Can I?" Jungkook quickly butted in and took the thermometer to place on Taehyung's body part.

The thermometer beeped and Jungkook took it out and gave it back to the doctor who received it to read the reading. His smile faltered instantly, reading the digits again and again.

"I think, it wasn't placed correctly." He frowned and again give that back to Jungkook and told him to place it more correctly this time. Jungkook did that but the next reading was again the same.

"Maybe it's out of order." The doctor mumbled to himself and took out the next device to check Taehyung's blood pressure, and again Taehyung fought back but Jungkook somehow made him calm and let the doctor do his work.

"This isn't possible." The doctor mumbled confused and took hold of Taehyung's wrist to check the pulse, the merman was trying to take his hand back but again Jungkook stopped him.

The doctor frowned deeply when he counted the pulse rate. He looked up surprised and confused, taking out his stethoscope to check the heart rate manually as well.

Once he checked that, he shoot up from the bed.

"This isn't possible, not all my devices are broken." He exclaimed, a bit irritated causing Jin and Jungkook to give him a look.

"What do you mean?" Jin asked first.

"His pulse rate, blood pressure reading, temperature.. everything is so abnormal, not even close to a normal human being." The doctor replied while boring his eyes at Taehyung who was now cowering under his gaze.

"Please lower your voice. Maybe your device really isn't working properly." Jungkook quickly said and mentally slapped himself for letting a doctor come in the house and check Taehyung.

"Excuse me? I am the doctor here and as you see, I did check it manually as well. I am shocked to see that he is still alive with such a heart rate." He accused with frowned brows and Jin gave Jungkook a look of disappointment.

"You can leave. Thanks for coming." Jungkook deadpanned on the doctor and turned Taehyung's back to the doctor, protectively wrapping his arms around the merman.

"Are you sure he is human?" The doctor threw his question with a taunt and Jungkook lost it.

"Jin hyung, give him his fee and say him to leave." He was feeling anger bubbling inside at the thought of exposing the innocent merman in front of others.

"I suggest you take him to a hospital, he is a rare case." The doctor added as he grabbed all of his belongings and left the room, grumbling til he was gone.

Jin shared a glance with Jungkook before walking behind the doctor.

"What's with the readings?" Jin asked the doctor. He was also feeling something was off with the way Taehyung was reacting and the way Jungkook was behaving.

"Very inhumane." The doctor seethed and left the house quickly.

"What the hell." Jin muttered under his breath before walking back to the room.

"What he- did." Taehyung asked in a low voice and Jungkook cursed as he could feel the brunet was scared again.

"Nothing bub.. don't worry. I am sorry that I forgot about your feelings." Jungkook apologized but Taehyung shook his head, still hugging his torso.

"Want to sleep more?" Jungkook piped up and Taehyung nodded slightly, his eyes were already drooping. Jungkook gently pulled him back and saw his eyes closed and lips parting slightly.

He fell asleep so easily?

Jungkook thought as he could see the red rim around Taehyung's eyes which were still a bit puffy. He gently laid him back on the bed and was about to get up from the bed to pull the blanket over Taehyung's body, when something dug under his knee, causing him to hiss.

He looked down to find a few pearls scattered over the mattress. Sighing in distress he picked up the pearls when the door burst open by a frowning Jin.

Jungkook's eyes widened and he managed to quickly hide the pearls behind his back and covered Taehyung's body.

"He fell asleep just now." Jungkook said with an awkward smile that didn't go unnoticed by Jin. The older male walked forth and directly grabbed Jungkook's hand that was hidden behind his back.

"Hyung!" Jungkook tried to protest but that was quite late as now Jin was looking at his fist.

"Open it."

"Hyun-"

"I said, open it." Jin said very seriously and Jungkook blinked in nervousness before slowly opening his fist to reveal the small pearls.

Jin narrowed his eyes before picking up the one and taking out the same type from his coat pocket, making Jungkook widen his eyes again.

"They look the same. But there wasn't any before, then how it came here so suddenly?" Jin inquired from the raven-haired who was now staring at the pearl that Jin took from his pocket.

"Found it on the table in the living room." Jin noticed his gaze and told him the source.

Jungkook closed his eyes for a second, again cursing his careless self before opening them again.

"Yeah, Jimin showed me these for his new suit that he is planning to make for our company's anniversary. Aren't these too fancy?" Jungkook smiled awkwardly before snatching the pearls from the older's palm.

"Taehyung liked these and was playing with them before sleeping, I just saw those now," Jungkook added more to his lie but Jin was not even near to believing that.

"And you let him play with these whole a** expensive pearls?" Jin deadpanned making Jungkook visibly flinch and quickly glance back at the sleeping boy but to his relief, he was peaceful.

"Can we talk outside?" He asked defeated and Jin nodded before grabbing his wrist and dragging him out of the room.

"Tell me the truth Kook, I can feel that you are hiding something from me." Once in the living room, Jin sighed with disappointment and Jungkook hung his head low, internally fighting whether to tell him or not.

"It is related to Taehyung hyung, and I prefer if I do that after his permission," Jungkook replied after a minute. Jin let out a loud breath and turned back to look at the door of Taehyung's room.

"Found anything about his whereabouts?" The question was out of the blue and Jungkook didn't like it a bit.

"He isn't going anywhere. He has no one." The reply was quick and Jin remained on his spot, trying to digest his words because Jungkook was never like this.

The main door opened by an excited Jimin and both males turned to face him. The small male looked so happy and excited and that's when Jungkook realized that it was already 8 pm.

"Oh, Hi Jin Hyung. Long time no see." Jimin chirped quickly and launched on the oldest one.

"How are you Jimin?" Jin asked with a small smile taking the other in his arms right on the time.

"I am so good and happy that I made a new friend." Jimin beamed, teasingly winking at Jungkook who wasn't in the mood. Jimin shrugged it off and pulled back to look at Taehyung's room.

"Is he sleeping?" Jimin asked Jungkook with a raised brow.

"Yeah, he isn't feeling well." Jungkook replied with a low voice that wasn't filled with his usual liveliness.

Jimin clicked his tongue with sadness before walking to the kitchen to grab some water for himself but he noticed one thing, the awkwardness between the two cousins.

"Everything ok in the company?" He asked while taking a sip from the glass after filling it up.

"Yup. It's fine." Jin replied flatly and was about to leave but Jungkook stopped him.

"Hyung, please don't be mad at me. I promise that I will tell you everything if he is comfortable."

"You are more concerned about him than your brother, Jungkook," Jin said with a sad smile, taking the said male by surprise and hurt.

"Where this came from?" Jungkook asked in disbelief.

"Because you are keeping secrets from me. Do you think that I didn't notice? I noticed the first time I saw him, he isn't normal... not at all." Jin snarled, getting out of his normal, bubbly self.

Jimin glanced between two males with wide eyes while taking more quick sips to end the glass to the bottom.

"Are you talking about Taehyung being a merman?" He blurted out but quickly slapped his own mouth as his eyes popped up on the realization.

Jungkook turned back in a whiplash and gave Jimin a look of surprise while Jin turned very slowly to give him a look of 'do you know what are you saying?'

"Haha.. I mean.. he, he loves merman." Jimin tried but-

Of course, it wasn't of use now.
