"Oh my god Taehyung's gone" Jimin shouted looking all around for him. Hoseok having stepped up a bit helped by running around outside "his scent is long gone" he said hitting himself in the head and crouching down.

"So fucking stupid" he repeated a few times. He was completely being awful. Namjoon was gone and he couldn't even keep the pregnant mate carrying his pups from leaving. He kept hitting himself as tears stung his eyes.

Jimin dropped to his knees cupping Hoseok's head. "You are not stupid and it is not anyone's fault that Taehyung left" jimin said biting his bloody lip he had been chewing at. He held Hobi's hands away from being able to hit himself and kissed his head.

"I'm worried that everyone who goes won't come back" the Fox said leaning into Jimin's warm hands taking comfort.

"They will" Jimin assured him only wishing it were true. "What we can do now is keep storing food and taking care of Jin. And most importantly we have to stick together" Jimin told him pulling the distressed fox into his embrace. "Jungkook will get Joon out safe and on the way back find Taehyung" he said stating the best case scenario.

Hoseok nodded into him and took a deep breath. "I'm going to lay down a bit with Jin and Yoongi. Come with me" he said taking the smaller boy by the hand and leading him into the cave. He blocked he entrance with a stone out of paranoia and curled up into to pile of furs. It was pitch black besides a tiny candle they made.

Jin was crying into the mouse of course not being able to control his emotions. "I'm just...I'm just so sad and worried" he blubbered as all the mates circled him. "I want Joonie, Kookie, and Tae to come back like nothing happened" he hiccuped softly.

Taehyung wasn't stupid. He knew the marked path having walked on it those months. He knew his brother wasn't more than a day or two in front of him and he knew that he was a lot faster because he wasn't dragging another person. His disadvantage was that he had to be careful because he was carrying pups.

He drank lots of water and food and rested well but kept going. If someone was going to end this it was going to be him. He had brought along a small knife just in case nothing was resolved and he was forced to do the unspeakable.

He stopped along the stream and saw droplets of blood and only hoped they were not from his lover. He gulped thickly and kept walking the path. He had to save him.

Jungkook crouched down in a bush about 20 feet from where Kyung was building a fire. Namjoon was sitting barely conscious against a tree his eyes swollen shut and bruised a deep purple. His busted lips parted as his breath was raspy. His gaze flickered to the man who rolled out his sleeping back and went to sleep.

Jungkook laid down and looked up at the stars for a long time probably hours after Kyung had fallen asleep. He listened for he deep regular breathing and just hoped that he wouldn't wake up. For the first time this week he hadn't slept next to Namjoon. The wolf was still seated against a tree.

The squirrel softly climbed out of the bush running to Namjoon as quietly as possible not making much of a sound over the fire. He sat down quickly untying the ropes around his neck and hands.

"Joonie you have to be quiet" he whispered softly in his ear.

Namjoon opened his eyes just a crack the swelling not allowing anymore sight. He got a soft nod and he wasn't sure if the alpha even knew anything. He was conscious but Jungkook guessed his mind was fogged over with the pain and sleepiness.

The squirrel couldn't bring himself to kill Kyung so he softly crouched under the wolf's shoulder and helped lift him up leading him quietly away. He could tell Namjoon was trying to be quiet but pained grunts escaped softly. Jungkook didn't say a thing for the next hour as they walked away.

Soon the light came up softly as dawn was breaking. He looked over at Namjoon his heard breaking seeing the clotted blood under his nose. He slowed his pace a bit wondering how far they actually got away because they were walking slowly due to Namjoon's injuries.

"B-baby you shouldn't have come back for m..me" Namjoon puffed out softly turning his head looking at him through the small slit his swollen eyelids allowed. "We b-both know he will be...back"

"I'm not leaving" Jungkook said firmly holding him more firmly as determination was set in. "We can hide from him. I'll hide you in a bush and run ahead making tracks and lead him on a wild goose chase" the squirrel said looking for a comfortable and safe spot for the wolf to rest.

Namjoon growled softly finding it easier to do than talk. Jungkook ignored him like usual and leaned towards his face kissing the side of his uninjured mouth. Namjoon just huffed not knowing what else to do. He knew Kyung was still alive and if he went this far what was to say he wouldn't continue to come after them.

Kyung was furious as he kicked the hot fire over and grabbed his rope. "I guess we are not going to be civilized" he seethed and started trudging back the way he came looking for the wolf that managed to escape.
