The sun came casting down on them from between the trees as they all walked down the gravel path. Taehyung had lost his shoes in the scramble and now his feet were so sore and blistered. He didn't ask for help as he slowly was left. No one looked back and soon they were out of sight.

He suddenly got really scared being alone in the forest and started to walk faster hurting himself. He fell to the ground when he stepped on a throne and it getting shoved into his foot. He cried out as he hit. He laid on the ground a moment before sitting up and looking at the thorn and quickly yanked it out of his foot.

Only a little bit of blood was spilled but when he tried to walk again it hurt too much. He walked awkwardly trying to keep up as he sniffled. He had tears streaming down his red puffy cheeks. His chapped lips cracking open and being stung with the salty tears. He was falling apart and he felt as if no one was there to keep him together.

He didn't know how long he was walking but he didn't catch up. His feet ached and his head hurt from his insistent crying. He finally stumbled landing on his knees and curled up in a ball not knowing what to do. His mates left him.

Namjoon who had healed well lead the group as they followed the trail to the river. It was close to night as they finally found a small clearing next to the river. "We can build a small next from leaves and grass" he told them as he started a small fire to keep warm.

"I'm hungry" Yoongi said softly as if he were too scared that that would cause them trouble.

"I know baby I'll go hunting" Namjoon said scratching behind his pink ears. He glanced around at them seeing how tired they all looked. He did a tiny head count.

"Where's Taehyung?" He asked.

Hoseok turned around "he was right behind me" he said looking around.

"Tae!" Namjoon called out.

When no answer came he turned to hoseok "why weren't you watching him?" He asked a bit roughly.

"He said he was fine I didn't think he would run away!" Hoseok said back.

"He is depressed and you keep making it worse" Jin spoke softly. "Maybe he just fell behind and will be here in a bit"

"I'm going to look for him" Jimin said softly as he started walking back into the forest at night. Namjoon grabbed his shoulder "no you stay with Jin and Jungkook and Yoongi" he said "Hobi and I can go look" the alpha said as a bubble of worry spread through him. He couldn't believe he left Tae behind. He looked at Hoseok with a thin mouth. "We need to hurry"

They started walking quickly towards the trail. Once they were concealed and walking quickly "I know you're upset Hobi, I am too, but you always speak your mind before thinking how it effects others" he said honestly as he intertwined their fingers together walking.

"I know" he said softly looking down as his tail tucked down.

"I want to hurt the humans and my pack for everything they have done to us, but I don't because it will hurt us too," he said softly "Taehyung feels like it's his fault that his family keeps hurting us...he hurts so bad and every time one of us says something it makes the wound bleed all over again...trust me when I say he doesn't want us hurt either. He just doesn't want anyone hurt"

Hoseok nodded "it doesn't change my opinion, but I won't say it around him anymore" he said softly Namjoon nodded. Hoseok could think for himself and he was just grateful that he would dial it down around the human.

They looked through the trail at night searching and searching. How far did they leave him? Namjoon was freaking out already in wolf form and kept running ahead.

"Namjoon!" Hoseok shouted.

The wolf ran back to the fox. Hoseok had found Taehyung a few feet off the trail next to a big tree curled in a ball under a few branches with leaves as a blanket. Hoseok pulled the limbs off and pulled the human to his chest to warm him. His blue lips and shivering body slowly vanishing. He was so out of it that the human didn't wake up.

The wolf huffed and slid back to human form crouching next to them. He saw the mess of tear streaks and blood on his foot. "He must have thought we left him on purpose" he said softly brushing the humans dirty hair.

"Has he been eating?" Hoseok asked softly seeing the soft tummy almost nothing now not even muscle.

"I'm not sure. I've had so much on my mind I've not thought about it" the alpha said picking up the human from the fox and cradling him. "Let's go back to the others they must be worried." He told Hoseok as they walked an hour back to camp.

When they saw the campfire and the four of them cuddling asleep he cooed a bit and walked to the river. Taehyung must have been thirsty because he cupped his hand and helped him drink. The boy woke up but kept drinking as if his life depended on it. His legs tangled with Joons as he leaned closer to the hand trying to gulp the water.

When he had his fill he turned to look up at Namjoon and shrunk back as if he were dreaming. "Baby" Joon said deeply and pulled him closer. Hoseok sat across from them as he made a pain reliever paste for Taehyung's feet.

Namjoon didn't say anything else as he washed him of the dirt and grime of the forest floor with the water from the river. "All clean" he said cupping the humans face and rubbing his thumb under his eye looking at him nearly tremble. Namjoon leaned forward pressing his lips into the humans reassuring him that this was real and he was ok.

He took the boys bottom lip in his mouth softly sucking on it as he held him. He pulled back brushing his wet hair out of his face. "All better?" He asked. Taehyung didn't say anything but laid his head on Joons chest.

"Hobi made you medicine," he said softly gesturing the fox forward. "This goes on your feet and makes them a bit numb," he said "it should ease the pain" the fox told him propping his foot up and gently rubbing the cream on his foot and wrapping a leaf around it to keep the medicine on him. He did the same to the other foot.

The two of them stayed up with Tae softly petting him and kissing his cheeks until early dawn.
