Namjoon huffed pulling so hard that his muscles hurt. The rest of his mates were holding different things to make the wagon lighter. Taehyung and Jimin were holding armfuls of furs in the back. Jin and Joon pulling the wagon with much effort.

They hadn't gotten to the snow yet luckily. It was only a bit chilly with the winds much harsher in the higher elevation.

Yoongi slowed down a bit to walk beside Jimin he smiled at him and handed him a slice of a red pear he had sliding it between his plump lips.

Taehyung opened his mouth when the grey-haired mouse reached to feed him too.

"Thanks," Jimin chirped planting a kiss to his cheek making his ears heat up. His tail was dragging in the dirt getting disgusting, but he couldn't pick it up. He only had free hands because he was giving everyone a small snack. Taehyung was clothed in his regular clothes that were stained beyond repair, but had an idea.

"Yoongi, take my belt and slip your tail in so it won't accidentally get stepped on," he suggested moving so Yoongi could reach in and undo the belt. Luckily walking so much made his muscles get thicker and his pants stayed up as the mouse quickly slid the leather off.

Yoongi took the belt strapping it around his waist and slotting his tail in the side wrapping around the front of his belly. He grinned, happy his tail was going to survive another day. Yoongi fed Jimin another piece of pear before he was called up by Jungkook who wanted to be fed.

Taehyung chuckled wrapping his arms more tightly around the furs grateful for their warmth. "I'm worried," Jiminie suddenly admitted looking at Tae with wavering eyes.

"About what?" he furrowed his brow. He thought this was what Jimin wanted, they would always have someone with them.

"Look," Jimin looked down the mountain where they had come from. He could almost imagine their little village beyond the small hills and trees and past the creek. Smoke appearing probably a mile or so from the village that they couldn't see. It was obviously man-made.

"What about it? Probably hunters," he said shrugging and walking uphill. He better have thighs like Jimin after walking uphill for so long he thought feeling the slight burn.

"Don't you think your family would be looking for us? We've been gone nearly a month without a trace," Jimin said looking at Tae.

"I'm sure they have already given up. I have about 15 siblings or nieces and nephews," he said glumly thinking about all of the little children clinging to him and the uncle Tae's that were always happy.

The crunch of the dirt road beneath his feet and the constant smell of earth had become something he had grown fond of. The scent of animals, mainly Namjoon, though it didn't smell anything like what the other mates tried to explain to him. He just smelled animal maybe with the faint wif of bitter lemons, but to the other hybrids, it sounded like a scent orgasm. He was a little jealous.

Jimin huffed lightly and tried to shake the uneasy feeling from himself. His shoulders were tense as they walked further up the mountain not even a quarter of the way up. The hybrids kept having to wait for the humans to catch their breaths. Their bodies were not used to this type of climate.

Often having to stop for hours at a time because they just couldn't do it. They would actually die if they didn't let their lungs adapt going up and down.

Taehyung stumbled and dropped to the ground breathing heavily with sweat trickling down his forehead. They were still in the wooded parts of the mountain that was slowly turning to ashy rock. At his stumble, the wolf turned back and told the small caravan to stop.

Jimin was already on his knees patting Tae's back in soothing motions. Namjoon crouched beside them and started to pet Tae's head in comfort. He looked up at the sky seeing only a few more hours of daylight.

"Jinnie, can you find shelter? We can't sleep outside when the temperature is this low," Namjoon asked worriedly for the humans that were having a more difficult time than the hybrids.

Namjoon turned back to Taehyung after Jin left. He removed the furs Tae was carrying and slid the smaller human to his lap despite his muscles protesting. Tae coughed digging his head into the wolf's body heat.

"Don't be getting sick on us," Namjoon said standing up with the human cradled in his arms. Taehyung's rapid breathing didn't help calm his nerves as he nuzzled their faces together licking the dirt from his stained face.

Jin came back saying he had found a small covering of vines. Namjoon nodded and looked at his mates who had concerned expressions. "Put everything back in the wagon except the furs and hide it," he told them while he followed Jin to the small covering of vines. It was small, but it looked protected enough especially with five hybrids sleeping in it.

"I'll go get the furs and the others," Jin said leaving.

Namjoon swayed a bit cupping the side of Taehyung's face. He didn't know if he was getting a cold or if this was a symptom of altitude sickness. He wasn't very educated on medical things so he waited for more opinions.

Jin crawled through the vine shelter to join him with furs that he laid down before the rest of the mates came in and surrounded Namjoon and Taehyung who were sat in the middle.

Taehyung held his head shuddering a bit. "Joon," Jin said looking at them worriedly.
