I remember when we used to talk all night

i remember when we would compliment each other

we would blush

i remember when we were together in my dream

those were the times

but things happened

we kind of stopped talking

we stopping trying

you confessed and i confessed back

i smiled

because 

for the first time 

it wasnt a one-sided love

thats what i thought

then we had a small argument 

there was misunderstanding

the communication stopped

then more drama was added to the mix

things got worse

and neither wanted to talk it out

time went on

you moved on

without me

i watched you fall in love with someone else

someone who i was close to

and they

they loved you too

they fell for you too

it was kind of bitter sweet for me

as i was a sucker for romance 

but then i lost you

to them

they were better

prettier

they were everything you wanted

everything you needed 

because you didnt need me anymore

so i watched from afar

and now we have mended our friendship

but on my end 

it wont ever be the same

i will always have you in my heart

it hurts sometimes 

to think in another universe 

we were still together

but 

i have to be fine now

because this love story became a one-sided love

a one-sided love story

were the happy ending doesnt come

because my heart can never fully open again
