Grief
I've been told grief is love that has no place to go
It has no room to expand
It's suffocated love
The words left unsaid
The memories they left in their wake
Yet
People will tell you to grieve but not too long
To love but not too hard
And it's moments like these where I wonder if we are doing the right thing
My mind has yet to grieve
Has yet to realize that they are gone
My body feels so heavy
Yet so light
I can still see them in the corner of my eyes wherever I go
People will tell me it will go away with time
But I don't think it will
I don't think I can just erase their presence like it never existed
That is only because I know it wouldn't ever fully go away
But then again
It might be my outlook on life that is affecting this too
I know that life comes to an end to continue the cycle
For life to be given
life must be taken
Grief comes and goes as it pleases
It comes to remind you that they once walked beside you
But I believe to comes back to test your strength
Because Grief does not care of you are rich or poor
Not if you can carry heavy baggage
It cares if you are able to continue living life
Because Grief is a cycle too
And if you aren't too careful you will never get out of it's turning
