Privacy Invasion [46]

Nice and warm, snuggling next to the person you loved more than the world, Jack loved being able to wake up this way. Being able to wake up next to Mark, rather than just waking up by himself. It brought the biggest smile to his face, especially when he could see Mark still lightly snoring away.

Nuzzling his nose slightly against Mark's, the American stirred, scrunching up his face a little as he started to yawn. Jack giggled.

"Mornin' Marky Mark~!" Jack sang, gently brushing his lips against Mark's. Mark grinned, opening his eyes halfway as he took one of his arms, wrapping it around Jack's torso.

"Morning, Jack..." Mark muttered sleepily. "Sleep well?"

"Definitely."

The two fell into a small silence, just sort of staring at each other, their eyes glossing over each other's features admirably. However, to suddenly interrupt the romantic tension, there was a loud knock at the door, snapping them both back to the real world. Mark let out a small moan of annoyance as he pulled the duvet over his head, Jack exhaling.

"Ugh... Who would be knocking at the door now? If Wade has come to visit or something, I'm gonna kill him." Mark muttered under the duvet, his voice muffled. Jack managed a small smile.

"I'll go get it." Jack volunteered, leaning over towards Mark. He pulled the cover back, giving Mark a quick kiss, then getting up to answer the door in a plain black shirt and his Septic Sam trousers. He could have changed and made an effort to brush his hair, but that would have probably taken too long.

Getting downstairs, Jack went to answer the door, feeling surprised when the people at the door were people he didn't recognize at all.

"Uh... Yeah?" Jack questioned, raising an eyebrow. It was a guy and a girl, who probably looked like they were in their late teens or maybe slightly older. Jack stated at then expectantly, waiting for them to talk.

"H-Hi." The girl stuttered. "S-Sorry... We know it's probably q-quite early in the day but w-we heard about you staying with Mark here in L.A and w-we had a friend who told us they s-saw you here so we w-wanted to... To say hi...." The girl continued nervously. Jack frowned, slightly leaning his head against the door.

Right. When he was sitting outside yesterday evening... News sure travelled fast. If only he had tried harder to hide his identity, maybe then no one would have recognized him. Because now he actually had fans kind of trailing into their personal space. And Jack was all for meeting fans, but this was something he wasn't really comfortable with.

"Listen, I am so humbled that you want to meet me so bad, I really am." Jack beamed. "But, this is kind of a no-no zone. You don't go to meet YouTubers at their houses... That's just trespassing on our privacy... Not just mine, or Mark's but Matt and Ryan's too, so... Please don't do that." Jack said, instantly feeling bad for saying such a thing, pushing people away. But he had to, because this was a bit too far.

"R-Right, sorry... But... Can I at least give you this gift?" She shakily wondered, taking a small box out of her bag and holding it out to him. He paused, wondering whether or not to actually accept it. But, with a nod, he did. He didn't want to push them away AND decline a gift, that'd just make him feel TOO guilty.

Taking the gift into his hands, he began to open it. Peering inside, he saw it was a lightly coloured green mug and when he took it out it had Septic Sam on the front which looked like it had been drawn digitally and then pasted onto the cup. Jack smiled at the thoughtful gift.

"This is really cool! Thank you!"

"I-It's no problem... But s-sorry for being so rude and not thinking of your feelings before coming."

"It's fine, just as long as you know now." Jack grinned. "But still, thanks for the gift, it's really nice."

After that, the two just said goodbye, apologized again and left. Jack was happy about how polite they were about it, rather than just going batshit crazy like he may have feared a person (a crazy fan) would do if he pushed them away.

Closing the door, Jack still glanced at the item in his hand as he began to walk to the kitchen to put it in one of the cabinets. Just as he was about to, a yawning Mark entered the room, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

"Who was it? Was it Wade, like I thought?" Mark wondered, stepping over. Jack opened his mouth to speak, to tell him... But then he stopped and closed it.

He didn't exactly think that telling Mark that two random fans had just knocked at the door was a great idea. He knew he wouldn't be happy about it, for sure. But he couldn't exactly think of an excuse to say otherwise.

"What is that in your hand? A green mug? I've never seen you with that one before, where'd you get it?" Mark continued.

"Uh..." Jack started, then exhaling. Fuck it, he couldn't think of a lie. "Some fans knocked on the door and wanted to give it to me."

The redhead rose his eyebrows for a moment, before furrowing them and pulling a sort of "are you serious?" face. A face that obviously told Jack that he wanted to know what the hell these people were thinking, thinking it was okay to just knock on their door and disturb their privacy like that.

"You should have declined it, man. I mean, I know it sounds mean but... What?! Who thinks it's okay to do something like that?" Mark complained, crossing his arms.

"I know it's weird, but they apologized and I... I didn't wanna tell 'em off and then decline their gift too... I would have felt terrible."

"Your problem is is that you're too much of an Irish softie." Mark teased, walking up beside his boyfriend and bumping shoulders with him. Jack pouted.

"I just like to be a civil person..."

"Yeah, well, how the hell did they even find out the address?"

Jack frowned.

"That would be my fault. I was outside waiting for you for like three hours, I think some people might have saw me and recognized me."

"Oh... Right." Mark said with a small sigh, right before his phone started to ring in hid hand, making them both jump in surprise. Mark quickly went to answer it, putting the phone to his ear.

"Hello? ....Matthias?" Mark spoke, glancing to Jack at the mention of their friend's name.

"What's up? .....You want to record a few videos with me and Jack?" Mark repeated what he was hearing, making Jack nod enthusiastically. Mark chuckled.

"Alright... Alright, Matt, we'll be there."
