Five

Dean had fallen asleep in the back of Jenny's car, using one of her shirts as an eye mask. Sam was still on the phone with Ellen before mumbled a quick goodbye and turned to Jenny. "Rakshasa."

"Rakshasa?" She raised a brow as Sam nodded.

"Yeah. They can only be invited into your home. It's a race of ancient Hindu creatures. They appear in human form, they feed on human flesh, they can make themselves invisible." Sam explained, turning around to pat Dean awake. He sat up with a jolt, grabbing Jenny's shirt and throwing it off his face.

"Rakshasa's sleep on insects, don't they?" Jenny asked and Sam nodded, Dean frowning in confusion.

"Rock- what?"

"Ellen found out what we're hunting." Jenny answered, turning back to the road. "Yeah, I've read about them. Bronze dagger to the heart should kill them."

"Yep. And they only feed every twenty to thirty years."

"Well, that makes sense. I mean, the Carnival today, the Bunker Brothers in '81." Dean groaned as he sat up.

"Right. Probably more before that." Sam assumed, Dean leaning forward to the front of the car.

"Hey, who do we know that worked both shows?" Jenny and Sam looked to Dean before glancing at one another.

"Cooper?" They said in unison, and Dean nodded. "You know, that picture of his father, that looked just like him."

"You think maybe it was him?"

"Well, who knows how old he is?"

"Doesn't matter how old he is, where do we get a brass dagger?" Jenny frowned in thought, slowly coming to a stop at the red light. She turned to Sam and Dean, who frowned.

"I think I know where to get one of those." Dean smirked, Jenny raising a brow.

"Well, before we go stabbing things into Cooper, we're going to want to make damn sure it's him." Sam reminded as his brother

"Oh, you're such a stickler for details, Sammy." The three smiled before Dean leaned back in his chair as the light turned green. "All right, Jen and I'll round up the blade, you go check if Cooper's got bedbugs."

...

Jenny walked behind Dean, who followed the blind man toward his trailer. Jenny kept looking around as the sick feeling in her gut had returned, thinking that Cooper was following them.

"Well, I've got all kinds of knives. I don't know if I've got a brass one, though." The blind man led Jenny and Dean into his trailer, pausing as if he looked directly at Jenny for a moment, inhaling sharply before walking to the back.

The blind man tapped a trunk with his cane, turning to Dean and Jenny. "Check the trunk."

Dean hesitantly walked towards the trunk as the blind man appeared to watch him. Jenny kept glancing to the man as Dean slowly rose after opening the trunk, turning to Jenny.

He was holding a clown costume. Jenny's brows rose. The blind man dropped his cane and pulled off his glasses; his eyes were normal. Slowly, they turned cloudy as his face melted. Dean
stepped over to Jenny protectively. The blind man smiled and waved, then his face disappeared, like the cheshire cat, his eyes glowed and disappearing last.

"Oh boy." Jenny mumbled, Dean first to run to the door, taking Jenny with him. The trailer door slammed shut as Dean threw himself into it.

"Shit!" He yelled, continuing to thrust himself at the door. Jenny looked back to the trunk, sucking as a knife flew right where her face use to be.

"Dean! A little faster!" She yelled, grabbing a salt shaker and chucking it where the knife was thrown.

"I'm trying! This thing won't budge!" Jenny groaned, throwing Dean aside as licked the door a few times. After her fourth attempt, it flew off the hinges and she ran out.

Jenny and Dean ran up to Sam, who looked as embarrassed as ever. "So, Cooper thinks I'm a Peeping Tom, but it's not him." Jenny shook her head, pointing back to the blind man's trailer.

"Yeah, so we gathered. It's the blind guy. He's here somewhere." Dean breathed loudly, turning to Jenny. "You said you had an off feeling with the guy. Next time, just tell us it's him."

"Wow, thank you for your input, Sherlock!"

"Well, did you get the—"

"The brass blades? No. No, it's just been one of those days." Dean interrupting his brother, who pressed his lips together firmly. Silence follows as Sam thought.

"I got an idea. Come on." The three started ruin g again, Jenny slowly growing more anxious as they entered the fun house.

As they slowly entered, a door slammed directly into Jenny's nose, causing her to throw her head back and fall into Dean. "Fuck!" She yelled, quickly grabbing her nose as it started to bleed. "That fucking clown!"

"Dean! Jenny! Are you guys okay?!" Sam yelled from the other side of the door, Dean helping Jenny stand.

"I think Jenny's nose broke!" Dean called out, turning back to her. Dean cupped the side of her face, examining her nose. "You alright?"

"Never better." She lied, wiping the blood away from her lips.

"Guys, find the maze, okay?" Sam continued before silence. Dean pulled Jenny along as she let her nose drip.

After a few minutes, Jenny and Dean met back up with Sam, who was attempting to pull a hot pipe off of an organ.

"Hey."

"He—aagg" Sam gave Jenny a disturbed look and she glared at him.

"You have your nose slammed into a door." She spat, blood spurting from her lips. She covered her mouth, wiping it. "It's not aa bad as it looks."

"It's the adrenaline. Where is it?" Sam asked as Jenny. and Dean shrugged

"I don't know, I mean, shouldn't we see its clothes walking around?" Dean asked before a knife suddenly flew past Jenny, latching onto her sleeve and pinning her to the wall.

"Oh, come on!" She yelled, trying to pry herself free. Another knife flew at her, pinning her wrist to the wall. "Dean!"

Dean ran to Jenny to help her as Sam continued to pry the pipe off, disappearing for a moment.

"Sam!" Dean's voice echoed followed by grunts as him and Jenny still attempted to pry the knifes out of her shirt.

"Guys, where is he?!" Sam asked loudly, Dean too occupied to answer.

"I don't know!" Jenny looked around as Dean tried to take the knives out of her shirt. She reached up and pulled a lever, steam pouring from the pipe organ, giving a vague shape to the invisible attacker, which she sees.

"Sam, behind you! Behind you!" Jenny yelled as Dean continued to try and pry the knives out of Jenny's shirt, Sam's eyes widening.

Sam stabbed the pipe behind him without looking. Letting go, he turned to see it buried in the still-invisible creature, blood pouring from the wound. Dean had finally managed to free Jenny, pulling her close to him.

"Dean I'm fi—" She cut herself short, waiting for a moment before hugging him back tightly. She looked down to where Sam was staring, empty clothes and a bloody pipe left on the ground. Dean looked next, shaking his head.

"I hate funhouses."

...

Jenny mouthed a thank you to Ellen as the older woman handed her, Sam and Dean a beer. "You three did one of a job. Your daddies would be proud." Jenny smiled as she pressed the cold beer to her nose, humming.

"Well, I don't know about mine. Maybe John, though." Jenny joke, taking a long swig of her beer beer before placing it back to her nose.

Sam walked away from the bar, Ellen walking into the back and leaving Jenny and Dean. "Let me see." Dean turned to her and Jenny rolled née eyes. She looked to the ceiling and set her beer down, Dean examining her nose again before reaching over the bar and grabbing a wet cloth. "You missed some."

"I'm sure I did." Jenny hissed in pain as Dean dabbed at her nose, flinching away.

"Oh, but it didn't hurt when it actually happened?" Dean raised a brow and Jenny gently punched his arm.

"Like Sam said. It was the adrenaline." Dean chuckled and shook his head, taking the back of Jenny's head in his hand before wiping away the dried blood. "And maybe I just want to be babied."

"You can be babied all you want. When you get hurt is when it'll be worse." Jenny looked at Dean as he smiled softly. She returned to gesture before leaning forward and giving him a gentle kiss.

"I guess I'll have to get hurt more often, then." The back door opened and Ash walked in, carrying a large laptop and a folder.

"Where you guys been? Been waitin' for ya." He spoke up and went to sit with Dean and Jenny as Sam walked back over.

"We were working a job, Ash. Clowns?" Sam spoke as he sat down next to Ash

"Clowns? What the—"

"You got something for us, Ash?" Dean interrupted as Ash set the laptop down. It appeared to have been homemade, given that there were wires sticking out everywhere.

"Did you find the demon?" Sam asked next, Ash shaking his head.

"It's nowhere around. At least, nowhere I can find. But if this fugly bastard raises his head, I'll know. I mean, I'm on it like Divine on dog dookie." Jenny frowned in confusion.

"What?" She questioned, leaning slightly over the table as if she didn't hear what he said.

"I mean, any of those signs or omens appear, anywhere in the world, my rig'll go off. Like a fire alarm." Dean started reaching for the computer, but Ssh had given hi. a warning look and he pulled back.

"Ash, where did you learn to do all this?" Sam asked and Ash smirked.

"M.I.T. Before I got bounced for... fighting."

"M.I.T.?" Sam and Jenny spoke in unison, Sam in confusion while Jenny was surprised.

"It's a school in Boston."

"Okay. Give us a call as soon as you know something?" Dean asked as he took one last sip of his beer. Ash nodded and the three hunters got up, walking to the door.

"Hey, listen— if you three need a place to stay I've got a couple beds out back." Ellen called out, but Dean was already shaking his head.

"Thanks, but no. There's something I gotta finish." Jenny waved goodbye, following Sam and Dean back out to her car.

...

Jenny finished tucking her cat under it's drape, walking to the garage door and closing it. She turned her head to see Dean was already back to working on the Impala, walking over as Sam did.

"You were right." Sam sighed, Dean pausing to turn to his brother.

"About what?"

"About me and Dad. I'm sorry that the last time I was with him I tried to pick a fight. I'm sorry that I spent most of my life angry at him. I mean, for all I know he died thinking that I hate him. So you're right. What I'm doing right now, it's too little. It's too late." Jenny gave Sam a solemn look as his lip quivered, a beat passing before he continued.

"I miss him, man. And I feel guilty as hell. And I'm not all right. Not at all." Another moment before Sam glanced between Dean and Jenny. "But neither are you guys. That much I know. I'll let you get back to work."

Sam left, Jenny and Dean still for a moment. Dean looked down at a crowbar, picking it up and stared for a moment. Jenny jumped back as he slammed it into a nearby cars window, turning to his own car and beat it senseless into the trunk.

He looked over to Jenny before dropping the crowbar and walking towards her, wrapping the woman in a tight hug. She was frozen for a moment, still trying to process that he had just beat his car up not even two seconds ago. Slowly, she hugged him back, listening as Dean attempted to hold down his tears.

And when he broke down, so did she.

ah yes, we finally get two chapters of fluff between Jenny and Dean.
Apologies for not having any Jo interactions, ngl I didn't like her very much 🧍🏻‍♀️
