Chapter 2

Braylee's POV

Now that Kellie found out the truth, the only thing I can hope is to never hear of that pushy brat for a long time. She's trying so hard to destroy our group, with her pretentious habits, her obnoxious attitude and her tendency to be outspoken. In other words, I don't like her.

Needless to say, Kellie and Ashlinn have a plan. Not the usual take on revenge, but a more complex one, one that reminds her there's no place for her in the group and that she's just an asocial, snobbish girl. However, I don't understand it; better say, I can't exactly say what are its main steps and how they're relevant to each other. Everything needs to make sense, otherwise it'll be a mess.

"So, what do you think we should do?" asks Ashlinn, worried that not finding a plan that's convincing enough may force us to improvise - she loves planning and isn't a great fan of lack of organization.

However, I give the answer that annoys her. "Well... no. Or, at least, not yet. I need your honest opinion."

Ashlinn and Kellie both stare at me with no clue of what to even say, which means that I am forced to come up with a plan myself. Oh, come on! I'm hopeless at such things - I'm wondering if this is even worth my time. Why can't they try and do so instead, as well? Is putting some more effort so terrible?

Never mind. It seems as Kellie is reacting. "She won't be part of the group, let's make it sure. If she keeps disturbing us, then she must consider herself dead." Wow. She truly believes in what she says, which is impressive, especially considering we're talking about a subject we don't appreciate at all.

"And so?" Ashlinn, on the other hand, isn't giving so much contribution, apart from being such impatient. Coming up with a convincing plan takes time and a lot of creativity, something she's definitely lacking.

"So, we should tell her politely that we're not interested in making friends with her and that she should find someone else to share her interests with," replies Kellie, believing that her plan is convincing enough. Well, I think so.

On the other hand, Ashlinn doesn't agree with us that much. "I think we should ignore her instead, so that she'll get fed up of trying to interact with us and will switch her attention to something else." This suggestion is also interesting. Let's say my friends put me in a quite uncomfortable situation, as I hate being forced to pick one of two choices, which, in this case, are both valid.

"Come on, Braylee, now it's up to you." Ashlinn's pushiness isn't sitting well with me at all; better say, it's confusing me even more. On the other hand, Kellie is waiting for my answer patiently, as well as smiling at me as a sign of encouragement.

Anyway, I've never seen Ashlinn behave like that. I mean, she's never been in such a rush. Something must have happened, because otherwise she wouldn't look so nervous. "Is everything okay?" I ask.

She hesitate a lot before replying, "Oh... yes... I think..."

"What do you mean with I think?" Now, I'm being more suspicious than ever. What if Ashlinn is lying to me? And, if she were lying, why would she do that? By the way, she'd better be honest to me, because I'm not exactly liking her behavior lately.

"Nothing you should worry about, unless it involves..." She starts clenching her fists and gritting her teeth, clearly angry for something that happened to her. "Leighanna." Even though she's basically hissing it, I can still hear it, which means that my suspects are confirmed. She almost certainly said something that hurt Ashlinn; if so, she must pay for what she did.

"But what exactly happened?" asks Kellie, who's also getting confused. This is definitely not a good sign at all. Something awful must have happened, otherwise this tension wouldn't have a proper justification.

"Well... she told me that I really need to get a grip..." Ashlinn is now bursting into tears. Wow, those words sound so hurtful. Now, I'm wondering what that bitch was thinking about when she opened her mouth. "At the same time, she was smiling, it was a devious smile. I really wanted to crooke it until her gums bled, but then she turned her back at me and left." As of now, my friend is sobbing. I can't see her suffer for a barrage of hurtful comments. The little brat, whose name isn't worth being pronounced, must pay for her deeds.

"That's terrible! Anyway, we must find her, before she keeps hurting more people's feelings," states Kellie, even though what she claims we should do is much easier said than done. Every time we look for her, we fail. Catching her is so hard that, once, I even wondered whether she actually exists.

Okay, don't think I'm the kind of girl who easily gives hate on someone; nonetheless, when they really piss me off, I can't help saying that. I want to be true to myself: starting befriending those people would make me look like a hypocrite.

"But how can we find her? I mean, it's been about a month or more since she started picking on me. What did I do to her? This is what I can't understand." Ashlinn's complaint, although it's perfectly relatable, is actually pointless - we need a real plan to find a resolution, which implies that complaint isn't part of it.

"I think we should ask around," I intervene, but then realize that my suggestion, after all, may not be that effective, as I don't think many people know her. "Otherwise, we could just wait. If she has the guts to show around and talk to us about what she really wants from us, then we'll be able to tell her exactly what we think of her."

"I think it's the best idea, as of now," decides Kellie; this time, Ashlinn also agrees, which means that we can devise the next part of plan, which will be more complicated than this. But, hey, at least we made a step towards what could be the right direction.
