Chapter 22|I'll crush that kids skull
Very much excitement in this chapter!
Don't judge the unedited stuff okay? It's a masterpiece.

I can see Noah falling apart as we aimlessly walk the tunnel, looking for a way out. He's beginning to get agitated by the small space, where he doesn't have the ability to just walk away and be alone with his thoughts.
He clenches his jaw, and I put a hand on his shoulder. "We'll find a way out," I say, trying to be reassuring. What are you supposed to say to someone who just watched their little sister die?
He stares straight ahead, glaring at the people in front of us. One guy, the one who Aaron referred to as Frankie I think, is talking very loudly, and just being annoying in general.
"Well it better be soon," he says threateningly. "Or I'll crush that kids skull."
"Oh, right," I bite my lip. That probably wouldn't be a great outcome. "I'll go talk to him instead."
I walk ahead, shoving my way into their little bitch pack which consists of Flynn the fuckwit, Frankie, and the two blender faced girls. Unfortunately for me, in order to talk to Frankie, I also have to walk next to Flynn, who is probably my least favourite person on earth.
"I did not expect to see you ever again," Flynn admits, staring it me.
I glare at him. "Yeah, well next time you want to kill someone, you should probably pick a person who can actually die."
"Look, I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't necessary-"
"Don't even try to justify what you did, and don't ever ask for forgiveness because you're not getting it," I say bluntly.
"You're never going to forgive me?" He asks incredulously. It's almost as if he thinks I owe it to him.
I shake my head. "You're completely clueless. Let me explain this to you asshat, because you don't seem to be getting the message. You can't just use bullshit words to get out of something you've done. I don't care if you were a big shot at home, and just threw shitty meaningless words at people to make them think you were some kind of higher power that they should be worshipping. Down here you're just the same as everybody else, actually you're probably a little bit worse than everyone else because you have a broken nose."
He frowns. "What? I don't have a broken nose."
I tilt my head to the side. "Really? You don't? Well let me fix that for you."
Then I punch him in the face. It's a real good one and the best part is he doesn't even see it coming.
He appears speechless, which would be a change for him. Instead, he just clutches his nose and looks at me like he can't believe his own eyes.
"And don't ask me to heal that because it's not happening."
I almost leave just then, but then I remember the real reason that I even decided to walk next to him. I pat Frankie on the shoulder. "You just need to shut the fuck up."
I stop walking and wait for Noah to catch up. We walk in silence for a while before he speaks up.
"Bravo Princess, that was a good show. Very entertaining. Five stars."
"I was going to kick him in the balls, but you were the one who said I needed some class. I figured punching him in the face would be classier than kicking him in the jewels."
He shrugs, throwing his arm over my shoulders. "You have more class in your pinky finger than he has in his whole body. He's just one of those people who will always be an asshole, and I hope both of his hands get amputated so that he has to scratch all of his itches with his toes."
"Remind me to ask you to help next time I need to plot revenge against someone."
"Sure thing, Princess."
We come to a very abrupt stop, and I almost crash into Flynn. Accidentally of course.
Ahead of them, Aaron and Cassidy were the ones who had caused the almost collision.
"What's the hold up?" Noah yells impatiently.
"Come and see it for yourself!" Cassidy yells back. They aren't that far ahead of us, but because of the dim lighting, we can't physically see them.
Noah sighs irritatedly, pushing through Flynn's group to reach Aaron and Cassidy. I follow to make sure he doesn't decide to kill Cassidy. I mean, I don't like her either, but killing her is going a tad overboard.
"What's the issue?" Noah asks Cassidy.
"Look for yourself," she replies, pointing straight ahead and rolling her eyes.
I see finally see the issue. The tunnel just ends. A concrete wall blocks off our only exit.
"That's just fucking great," Noah says, running his hands through his hair. He's panicking, probably because he thinks we'll have to walk back the other way and see Mae again.
Instead, I inspect the wall. It doesn't appear that solid, and to test my theory I knock on it.
"This is hollow," I declare, looking at Noah. "You could knock this down easily."
He gives it a kick to test my theory. Chunks of cement fall away, exposing a wooden frame underneath. He kicks it a second time, this time with all the strength he has, and the whole structure just falls away, exposing a short flight of stairs made of metal.
We walk forward tentatively, the stairs creaking under our weight.
The first thing I notice as we step outside is how much harder it is to breathe. The air feels thinner than I'm used to. The sun blares down on us, which is hardly surprising. It doesn't seem to rain very often at all here, which would explain the desert like sand that cover the ground as far as the eye can see.
As I stare off into the distance I see something unusual. I have to shade my eyes with my hand to be sure that my eyes aren't deceiving me. Rising out of the dirt is a large collection of pristine white buildings, the glass that seems to be endless, glitters in the sun. The buildings are surrounded by a large fence.
I can't be sure whether it has been put in place to keep something out, or to keep something in.
I begin to wonder why the others aren't marvelling at the sight in front of us, so I turn around. I suddenly realise why.
Directly behind us there is a huge dome. It would look out of place if there weren't three others, each identical to the next except for one thing. The one closest to us is labelled in huge block lettering: Wescott. The next one is called Wakefield, the third one is Walton, and the last one is labelled as Wayland.
We all just stand there with our mouthes open, unable to form the words to describe-
"Holy fucking shit," Frankie breathes out in disbelief.
I guess that's an acceptable description.
"We've been living in a dome for our whole existence," I mutter to myself. I always thought something wasn't quite right, but that doesn't mean I thought we were living a lie.
"Those people," Noah says, pointing to the city. "They did this to us. They put us here, which means they also killed our families."
I nod. "I know, but we can't just go charging on in there because we really don't know what we're up against."
"Well, then let's go pay these bastards a visit," he replies.
The closer we get to the city, or whatever the hell it is, the more insignificant I feel. Once again, nobody says a word as we approach the huge gate. I still haven't seen another human being, which is slightly worrying. What if they're actually aliens? Or if they want to eat us, I mean, I wouldn't eat us if I were them. We don't have a lot of meat on our bones.
The ginormous gates start to open on their own, and I clutch Noah's hand. Uncertainty is definitely more terrifying than knowing something wants to kill you. Once the gates are opened fully, we slowly step inside the city. Immediately, the gates begin to close and I begin to wonder if we've made a huge mistake.
I'm almost blinded by the sheer amount of glass in this place. It seems that every building is eighty percent glass and twenty percent this other white building material that I've never seen before in my life. This is like visiting a different planet.
We are approached my about ten people, only they don't look like people. They look kind of like stormtroopers actually, and each of them holds a gun across their chest. This puts Noah on edge, and he grasps my hand tighter.
The stormtroopers don't say anything to us. Instead, they surround us and begin to walk. This of course, forces us to walk. It seems that they're our escort.
We arrive at a very tall building with two sets of double doors at the front. The soldiers, well that's what I'm assuming they are, start pushing people around. Cassidy and the other two girls are pushed through one set of double doors, while Aaron and Frankie are shoved towards the second set of doors.
I start to back away as I realise what they doing. They're splitting up girls from guys.
Two of the soldiers charge towards us, grabbing both of us by the arm and dragging us apart. I struggle against the grip of the robot dude, but he's way too strong. Noah manages to break free of the grasp by elbowing the stormtrooper in the face.
He runs over to me, grabbing my face in his hands. "I'll find you princess," he promises, and then he kisses me hard on the lips.
Several of the soldiers grab Noah, but he throws a punch at one of them. Just as I'm dragged up to the double doors, I see one of them draw their gun, aim and fire. The shot makes me flinch and I start screaming and yelling as I'm dragged down a long white corridor.
"Noah!" I scream, trying to kick the soldier with my heel. "Let go of me you bastard!" I yell, turning and spitting in his face.
He stops walking, raises a fist at me and swings it towards my face. That's the last thing I remember.

My vision is blurred when I open my eyes. I blink several times, and try to move my hand to wipe my eyes, but I can't.
Wires and tubes are connected to my hands, arms, and these sticky things on my neck. I peel the things off my neck, remove the ET looking thing on my finger, and carefully remove an IV from my arm.
"Ow," I mutter, wincing as I rotate my neck, and stand up, raising my hands above my head.
I look around, noticing that I'm in a small, white, box like room with absolutely nothing in it. Not even a bed. I was sleeping on the floor.
No wonder I have a sore neck.
There isn't even a toilet. Do they want me to pee on the floor?
I'm still wearing my old, dirty clothes too.
God, this place is budget. Could they not afford an interior decorator?
I don't have a clue what I'm supposed to do now. I could count the stupid white tiles on the ceiling, but there aren't that many so it wouldn't take that long. Or I could do some jumping jacks, but I'd rather not.
I really had high expectations for these people, but now they've blown it. Maybe if they would feed me and give me a bed I'd have a little more trust in them.
I hear a small click, which interrupts my thoughts. I frown, looking around for something that could've made that noise. If I didn't know any better, I'd say that sounded like a door opening, but there is no door in this box.
Regardless, I start pushing on the walls, just in case there is an invisible door or something. Very much to my surprise, there is a door that looks like part of the wall, and when I lean against it, I fall over, landing myself in yet another white corridor.
"God, these people have no imagination," I mutter, dusting myself off. This corridor appears to only go in one direction, so I follow it. There are several doors, but each one I try is locked.
I reach the very end of the hallway, and see one last door. I'm doubtful that It'll open, but I try it anyway.
To my complete and utter surprise, it swings open, revealing a large room with probably ten sets of bunks.
Oh yeah, not to mention the people.
A tall girl with dark hair appears at the door, and grins toothily. "Oooh, fresh meat!"
Then she drags me into the room, and closes the door with a loud bang.

Well then, there it is.
I really hope appreciate that cliffhanger right there.
Anyway, aside from the story, I have a serious issue. I love shopping right, mostly for clothes. But I'm probably the most antisocial and introverted person you'll ever meet, (I probably talk to my cat more than I talk to people) so I never go out anywhere to wear these clothes. It's a problem, I know.
Yup.
