After water it's the most consumed drink,

first recorded in China, 10th century B.C.

it wasn't until 1660 in Great Britain 

that the nation started drinking tea. 

Tea has bioactive chemicals,

amino acids,flavinoids and caffeine, 

it can also boost the immune system, 

vitamin C is found in herbal tea and green.

China is the largest producer of tea in the world making 1,700,000 tonnes in 2013 which is about a third of the total amount produced in the world. India is the second largest tea producing country making 900,000 tonnes each year. After tea was introduced to Britain from China the British East India Company started converting plots of land for tea production. India now has over 1 billion tea drinkers so 70% of their tea produced is not for export. Worldwide over 730 million cups of tea are drunk each day.
