Chapter 4
December 19th
Logan Airport
The private plane skid along the runway before hauling to a gentle stop. Jackie was returning from New York. And Jack promised he would be at the airport to greet her. In her absense, he had been spending most of his time, writing books, playing with the kids or on the phone to her. At her time, in the city she did her normal duties of shopping for clothes, antiques and now mostly Christmas presents and things for the Christmas party, in four days.
After about ten minutes after it landed, the door opened and Jack saw his radiant wife exit the plane. She was wearing his favourite pink suit. "Jack!" Jackie squeaked before dashing to her husband who was now on the runway. "Oh kid, I missed you" Jack kissed his wife on the cheek before they held hands.
"So how were the kids when I was gone?" Jackie asked, as they walked inside to the terminal. "Great. Everybody's great. They can't wait to see you" Jack assured her. He told her about everything they had got up to when she was gone and Jackie seemed satisfied. It was the same in the car ride. When they pulled up outside the house, Jackie was desperate to get inside.

Upon her arrival, the kids who were two floors above with their new nanny Mrs Ewa Arezzo, (an linguist nanny from Venice), dashed downstairs to their mother. "MUM'S HOME!" They heard Kick crying above the rest.
All five of the children dashed downstairs to their mother who embraced them at once. "Oh my darlings" Jackie kissed them all on the cheek before taking off her coat and shoes. The housekeeper Mrs Winfrey, took her coat and put them in the cloakroom.
As they poured into the living room, Jackie said to her children, "It's been 9 days, I want to know everything you've been doing". Jackie also added: "Daddy told me quite a bit". The kids explained how they were doing well at school and the younger ones how they were doing at kindergarten. As a welcome home present, Liz and Joe presented Jackie with a drawing they made.
It pictured Jack and Jackie with their children outside the house and scribbled at the bottom it said: "Welcome home mummy!".
