The next day at breakfast Amalia wasn't there, everyone else was "isn't Amalia here?" Sebastian asked they looked realising she wasn't. "I did call her," Ciel said, "I'll go check on her and call her again, this is very unlike her" Rachel said "yes, it is Sebastian, I hope she's not sick" he nodded and went to go to her room he went in and said "Amalia breakfast" but no answer "strange? I don't have to normally call her twice she comes right away" he sighed and said "Amalia breakfast come on" he walked over to her bed, and said "Amalia I said breakfast and I know you heard me" he looked and saw she was still asleep.

Sebastian sat on the edge of her bed and said "Amalia you need to wake up" he gently shook her. Amalia half-opened her eyes and weakly said "daddy?" he nodded and said "you, ok? I've called you for a while but you didn't wake up, and Ciel woke you up but come down, and I know you always come someone calls you for breakfast" Amalia said "I don't feel good daddy" her dad felt her head. "You don't have a fever how don't you feel good?" he was worried she rarely got sick, but when she was it meant she was off her feet for a few days.

"I feel tired, I wanted to get up but couldn't my tummy doesn't feel good," she told him Sebastian nodded. "Ok ill make an appointment for you at the doctors here, and it's a good thing your off school for winter break" Amalia nodded she hugged kitty more "I'm sorry daddy" he rubbed her head. "it's ok come here" he picked Amalia up with her blanket. she had her arms dangling over his shoulders with her head against his neck holding kitty in her right hand, she hated this she didn't want to be sick.

Sebastian took her downstairs "is she ok?" he looked to see Vincent Sebastian shook his head. "she's not feeling too well she says she doesn't feel good, I'm going to take her to the local doctors" "let me or Rachel make the appointment" Sebastian nodded and said "thanks, it's so unlike her not to come for breakfast when someone calls her" Sumire peaked out she went over "she ok?" she asked looking up at Sebastian. he knelt and said "she's not feeling well, so she needs to rest shell be going to the doctors later" Sumire nodded. Sebastian went to the living room and put Amalia on the sofa and sat by her.

"daddy" Amalia weakly called to him, he looked at her "yes kitten?" "don't go" he chuckled and said, "I'm not going anywhere ok, we've got to go to the doctors to make you better, so until we go what do you want anything just say," Amalia said, "you daddy" she snuggled into him more. he said "ok then, well cuddle until it's time for your doctor's appointment" she nodded. she was soon back asleep curled up by Sebastian hugging kitty Sebastian's arm around her, with her fluffy blanket on top of her. Vincent came in "I spoke to the doctors, Ann isn't in but there's an appointment with another" Sebastian nodded saying "I don't mind, as long as they make her feel better" Vincent nodded saying "yeah it's at 11 it's all they had"

Sebastian nodded he noticed Sumire and said "seems someone's worried" he motioned with his eyes. Vincent looked and went over he knelt and said "Sumire" she jumped and said "sorry" he shook his head. "you've done nothing wrong, tell you what why don't you make her a get well card and when she comes back from the doctors, you can watch some movies with her," she said, "can I help?" Sebastian said "Sumire I have a special job for you" Vincent brought her over, she hid a little behind Vincent and peaked out. Sebastian gave a small chuckle and smiled "now when Amalia is sick, she wants me but there are sometimes I have to do grown-up things, so when I have to do that and Vincent, Rachel or Ciel can't stay can you stay and keep her company? it's a special job I can only ask you to do" she gave a serious look and nodded.

Vincent chuckled and said "now while they are at the doctor's, we can make a get well card for her, which I think she'll like alot" Sumire nodded and went with him. soon it was time for the doctors Rachel had drove them, Sebastian had wrapped Amalia up in a dressing gown, a fluffy blanket, bed socks and slippers he went in the doctors was an old building, but did everything from seeing walk-ins to minor operations like say removing a cyst or even an ingrowing toenail, they did have an x-ray machine too but anything major it was the hospital. Sebastian walked up to the receptionist "excuse me my daughter has an appointment"

The person said "Sebastian is that you?" he looked and saw Grell 'at least it's brown-haired Grell' he thought, Sebastian said "yes, I've got an appointment for my daughter" Grell looked and said "awe the poor munchkin, go sit down" Sebastian nodded sitting down. he preferred this Grell to the redhead one he sat in the waiting area, which was a few chairs and a few kids toys. hed put Amalia's head against his chest she was hugging kitty. Sebastian has wrapped the blanket around her more Sebastian brushed her fringe out of her face and felt her head and said "you're starting to burn up you must have that cold"

Amalia had fallen asleep again, Sebastian just watched the time there wasn't much to do until he was called in by this doctor. he hoped they would be nice soon Amalia woke up she rubbed her eyes and said "daddy" Sebastian looked hearing his name called. he smiled and said, "it's ok kitten" rubbing her head "I feel warm and sick" Amalia said, as she snuggled into him more wanting to be closer to him. this worried Sebastian a little he hoped it didn't mean the hospital, he didn't want that for her and miss everything.

Sebastian made sure not to let her worry, he rubbed her back saying "it's ok, the doctor will see you soon ok" Amalia nodded. Sebastian pulled the blanket around her more Amalia just lay her head against Sebastian's chest. whenever she was ill, she would just stick to Sebastian more, she didn't want anyone else all Sebastian could do was stroke her head or rub her back, he kissed her head. the worry wouldn't go until he knew she would be ok and not need the hospital at all. the time seemed like it was passing so slow, a minute seemed like an eternity for now they were the only ones there.

"Ok you can go in," Grell told them, Sebastian looked at him and said "thanks" he got up Amalia clinging to him. Grell nodded and said "hope the munchkin feels better soon" Sebastian nodded and went into the doctor's office. he opened the door and sat down no one was in there yet, Sebastian figured they were getting something. a few minutes later the door opened Sebastian saw a man slightly taller than him come in, he had black hair, glasses and eyes were a unique honey colour. "Hello my names Claude I'll be your doctor today, so what can I do?" Sebastian said "I think Amalia's got that cold that's going around, though I'm not sure" he moved her Claude could get a better look at her. Claude nodded and started typing on his computer "ok what else, how was she before?" Claude asked. Sebastian thought and shook his head "the same as always, it's just today she didn't come when I called her for breakfast, she said she felt tired but wanted to get up when I called and it's very unlike her so it has me a little worried"

Claude said, "ok what else?" Sebastian thought some more "she also said her stomach doesn't feel good, and not long ago she felt warm she also said she feels warm and sick, and when I felt her head before I could even feel the heat through my leather gloves" he hadn't taken his gloves off yet. Claude nodded now having a full idea of what was wrong "ok I think she has got it, but ill check her over" Claude wheeled over in his chair, he still needed to check her over to make sure there was nothing else. Amalia just clung to Sebastian "Amalia let the doctor check you over ok I'll be right here I promise" he told her Amalia nodded being half asleep.

Claude got a digital thermometer out and took her temperature "when did she start feeling warm?" he asked Sebastian thought about it and said "it wasn't long after we came, she's just slept and had say one drink after went right back to sleep and then it was like a mouth full" Claude nodded hearing the thermometer beep. he looked and said, "yes she needs to drink more, is it just you and her?" Sebastian said "yes her mother passed when she was very young, but we're staying with family were visiting for the holidays, it was her grandfather who called to make the appointment"

Claude nodded typing something on his computer "I see, she's got the flu and a pretty bad one at that, here this is her temperature" Claude showed Sebastian the thermometer so he could see. "Is that right!?" Sebastian was shocked at the number. Claude nodded "yes, you did the right thing bringing her here if you had of left it, then she might have been in hospital it was so bad, but it won't get to that now but luckily she won't all I can recommend is bed rest and only moving for the bathroom, as the more she rests the faster she gets better but with small children, it's easier said than done"

Sebastian smiled chuckling knowing what Claude said was right, it was hard for small children to stay put. "thanks" Sebastian told him, as he fixed Amalia's blanket, she'd fallen asleep again. Claude nodded "no problem, is this the first either of you have come to the doctors?" Sebastian said "we rarely ever get sick, but when either of us are we know it like now I just wish I could trade places" Claude nodded, "all parents say that when their child is sick, though it can also apply to other family members like siblings, niece or nephews" Sebastian nodded lifting Amalia up as she was slipping. "I know what you mean, and I'm sure her grandparents would want to swap places, and her uncle"

Claude nodded and printed something off and handed it to Sebastian "now just get her to take this 3 times a day, she might not want to eat but give her something that will feed her or these drinks, after about a few days she should be ok, and a warning you and your family might catch it if you feel how your daughter did call here" Sebastian said "will do, and she's asleep again" Claude looked and said "she seems like a sweet girl" Sebastian nodded. "Very I hate seeing her in pain, or like this, I don't want to lose her she's my life" Claude could see the worry Sebastian had. "Yes, I can see, now if you or her are feeling unwell my doors open while you're here" Sebastian nodded "I will do, so I just take this to the pharmacist?" Claude said "yes bye"

Sebastian nodded and left to get the medicine Amalia needed. when Sebastian had gone Claude couldn't help but feel he knew Sebastian, and Sebastian had the same feeling, but he pushed it back since his focus was his sick little girl, but little did either know this was the beginning for them.
