The next day Ciel woke up to Amalia in his bed 'did she have a bad dream? if she did why not Sebastian's bed' he thought. that wasn't the case she had just wanted to have a sleepover with him, a knock came at the door "come in!" Ciel called out. Sebastian opened and said "thought she'd be here" "right so why my bed?" "Well, she likely wanted a sleepover with you, since she hadn't seen you in a while and if she did have a bad dream she'd come to my room, anyway came to see if Amalia was here and to let you know breakfast is ready" Ciel nodded getting up and woke Amalia up, she curled into her toy cat she was not a morning person.

Sebastian went over and said "Amalia it's time to get up, it's breakfast time" "no wanna" "well if you don't get up soon, we can't go get another present for the little girl that your grandparents are looking after, and you won't get to see them" she opened one eye Ciel said, "also I'll eat your breakfast, what is it, Sebastian?" "My special chocolate chip pancakes" Amalia grumbled and got up. Sebastian chuckled and said "now go get changed, I've put your clothes out then come down for breakfast" she nodded yawning and went to get changed for the day. "She is not a morning person, the opposite of you Sebastian" "yes but she knows if like today we have to travel she will get up early, I'll go finish breakfast" Ciel nodded.

Amalia got changed in her room, she put the jeans Sebastian had picked out and a jumper it was a fox on with a Santa hat it would keep her warm, she then put her socks on and went down for breakfast. Sebastian looked and said "good girl, now after breakfast I want you to check you have everything you want to bring, as we won't be coming back here until after Christmas" she nodded eating her pancakes. Ciel came down and yawned he sat saying "I've just rang my mother to let her know we'll be there by dinner, which she will set an extra two places aunt Ann and Lizzy are planning already" Sebastian shook his head at this.

After breakfast, Amalia Sebastian and Ciel made sure they had everything they needed, once they checked they put everything into the car Sebastian put Amalia into her car seat. once everyone was in and everything in, he drove into town and parked up. Amalia got out and held Sebastian's hand "I'll meet you two up later, got a few gifts I need to get" "alright Ciel just ring when you're finished" Ciel nodded leaving them to shop. everyone around was wrapped up in winter coats, hats, scarf's, earmuffs and gloves Amalia and Sebastian were no exception. Sebastian had his black coat on with a scarf, and black leather gloves Amalia had a light pink coat on which had a cape on it, and some gloves and earmuffs on. "Now what should we get this little girl?" he asked Amalia thought and said "stuffed animal?" 'Well, that's a safe option, since we don't know her hobbies' he thought Sebastian looked around the shops with Amalia.

They both looked in a lot of different toy shops but nothing seemed to catch their eye, soon they came into a shop that had all different stuffed animals and other plushies from shows and such. Sebastian looked at some soon he heard "these!" he looked and saw Amalia with some he knelt and said "why these ones?" she had 3, two foxes and one white peacock she said "because one can be a Christmas present, and if its ok one to give to show I want to be friends" "well which would be which?" "The bird for Christmas, and the foxes to give now their brothers" Sebastian nodded and said "why don't you keep one, and she gets the other fox" she nodded smiling Sebastian paid for them and got some snacks and drinks for the ride, it would be a few hours he also got Amalia something to do.

Ciel had gotten all the presents, he needed it was just mainly for his boyfriend since he'd ordered most online, but what he wanted to get his boyfriend could only be found in a shop here. as he walked back to the car, he saw Sebastian and called out to him which made Sebastian turn around "have you got everything?" he asked Ciel said, "yeah you?" Amalia said "yeah!" "Yes, I got snacks and things if we don't get there in time for lunch, well get something on the way," Ciel said "yeah, also I don't think traffic will be too bad since most people go closer to Christmas to visit people, but some might have your idea" Sebastian nodded.

Once at the car and everyone was in Sebastian started the drive, it would take a few hours as Ciel's parents lived far away in a village. on the drive, Ciel and Sebastian talked Sebastian said "so how's things with Alois?" "The usual he creates drama or lives for it" "why be with him then?" "don't know, he's not a bad person he adores Amalia" "right, remind me never let him babysit alone again after that incident" "don't remind me, the cinema and a sugar high I left him to deal with that, a large family bag of jelly tots let her have whatever sugar was left at the bottom, plus a large tango ice blast, I'm surprised she was not sick" Sebastian laughed at that remembering what, Ciel had told him when he'd rang that time.

Sebastian pulled into McDonald and said "we might as well eat, it's about lunchtime also bathroom break" "yeah and a chance to stretch our legs, one thing if you're on a train you can walk about in a car you can't" they all got out. "Is it lunchtime?" Amalia asked Ciel said "yeah, let's go in so we can get a seat before it gets full" she nodded going in. there was some snow on the ground, Sebastian and Ciel could tell they were getting closer to their destination. "Tell me what you want and ill order it and pay my treat" "wow it must be Christmas, you're actually treating me to McDonald" Amalia was confused and said, "it's 2 weeks away?" Ciel laughed and said "I know, I'm just joking with your dad" Sebastian nodded.

While he waited in line Ciel said "so excited to see my parents?" Amalia nodded and said "yeah! grandpas like Santa" "oh how so?" "Well, he makes toys, and gives them away sometimes but he's not fat and doesn't have a beard" "no he doesn't does he, but I'm sure if you ask nicely he'll let you see some of the new toys he's making, and maybe try some new sweets to" she nodded excited about that. 'They spoil her but to them, she's their first grandchild, how many years has it been since I became friends with Sebastian and they adopted him' Ciel thought. about 5 minutes later Sebastian came over with a tray that had their food on. Amalia said, "thank you" Sebastian gave her a happy meal and a small sprite with no ice, he said "eat it all and you can have the Mcflurry" she nodded.

Ciel took his order, Sebastian had his, a big mac and a black coffee "seriously Sebastian coffee?" Sebastian looked and said "I can say the same about your earl grey tea" "fair point" soon the place got full. Ciel said, "good job we came in when we did since its getting full" Sebastian nodded and said, "yes it's why I did, I know close to lunchtime it gets packed and if we'd come now, we would of had to go into the drive-through and sat in the car" "I'm done" Sebastian looked at Amalia and said, "good girl, now you can have your Mcflurry" she got it eating. Ciel said, "so what are you going to do when we get home?" "I'm going to spend time with Amalia, but also catch up with some people and your parents" "our parents" Ciel corrected him "right, right" Sebastian took a sip of his coffee.

Once everyone had finished, they went back to the car, Sebastian had made sure Amalia had gone to the bathroom as it would be another hour or so before they reached, and they were not stopping until they reached their destination. about 15 minutes into the drive "it's quiet, is she ok?" Sebastian asked Ciel looked and said "she's fallen asleep, so shell likely sleep until we get home" Sebastian nodded. the closer they came the more snow they saw on the roads and sides "were closer, more snow" Ciel said Sebastian nodded.

Ciel had to direct Sebastian a little but soon they reached their destination. a very large and old mansion "you know I'm surprised this place is still standing, it's old but then again there are older buildings still being used" he told Ciel who nodded. saying "yeah, luckily we have the funds to keep up with repairs and keep everything how it should be, I know my mother swapped any candles for electrical ones to keep the theme going" Sebastian nodded and said "want to let them know where here? ill wake her up" Ciel said "yeah, they can prepare their foster kid about us" Ciel went in his feet crunching under the snow.

Sebastian got out and opened the door to where Amalia was sat, he pulled his coat around him more he could tell he was now in the countryside. "Amalia kitten it's time to wake up," he told her gently shaking her, she rubbed her eyes and said "daddy are we there?" he nodded and said "yes" he picked her up and placed her down. glad he had her put boots on with good souls, he closed the door and locked the car and knelt. "Now when we go in, you'll likely meet that little girl Ciel told you about" she nodded, he said "good girl here" he gave her, her rucksack and held her hand, he had a gift bag in the other hand and walked up to the front door and knocked.

Amalia moved closer to Sebastian, he felt warmer the door soon opened showing a woman who was slightly shorter than Sebastian. she had long strawberry blonde hair pulled back into a half up half down hairstyle, her deep blue eyes looked at Sebastian and hugged him and said "it's so good to see you Sebastian" he hugged back, and said "you as well Rachel" they parted. she looked at Amalia and said "my word she has gotten so big, now why don't you two come inside its warm" Sebastian said "yes that would be best" they went in. Sebastian closed the door Amalia ran and hugged her and said "nanna!" Rachel hugged back and said, "now I have missed these hugs, now are you just visiting?" Amalia shook her head and said, "no, we're staying for Christmas!"

Rachel acted shocked and said "really!? now that is very nice, now has Ciel told you about mine and Vincent's new guest?" Amalia nodded "yes, he told us when he came yesterday," Sebastian told her. Rachel nodded and said "alright, now she's a year younger than you, her name is Sumire and her birthday is soon, so I would like you to help me pick a present for her she is very shy and quiet so I hope you can try to become friends with her while your here" Amalia nodded saying, "daddy told me and we got her a gift for Christmas, and I got her one to say I want to be friends" Rachel smiled and said "that is very kind, now why don't I take your coat and you can see Vincent" she nodded and was soon off.

Rachel hung her coat up and said "Sebastian you're doing a great job, she is very kind, and her mother I'm sure is proud and know me and Vincent are proud of you, we see you and her as family you're our son and her our granddaughter" Sebastian hung his coat and scarf up, and said "I know you do, and I'm grateful since she has a few female role models around you, madam red and Lizzy she can ask about things she can't talk to me about since her mother isn't here one of the days" Rachel nodded and said, "do whatever you need to for that day alright, we understand I do hope you've brought some of your cookies or will make some?" "I plan to make some, and have Sumire, was it? have her join in also Amalia has some homework" "yes that's right, and what homework?" "it's to keep a diary of what she does over Christmas traditions, she's doing it as a scrapbook its likely to do with the Christmas concert" "oh yes, Ciel mentioned about it and how you'll show us the video" Sebastian nodded.

They walked in talking seeing Amalia on Vincent's knee telling him everything. Ciel said, "we've lost him now, so where's the little girl?" "she's in her room, I've told her we have got guests who are staying and one is a girl her age, so she'll come down when she is ready if not for dinner" Sebastian nodded sitting down. he said "I can understand, I don't want her to feel forced" Ciel and Rachel nodded. Vincent said "Amalia has been telling me everything Sebastian, and you'll have to show me the video later" Sebastian nodded and said "of course, I'll show you when she's in bed" Vincent looked exactly like Ciel. same hair and such but the difference was he had brown eyes and a beauty mark under one eye.

While they talked someone was watching them from the door holding a light blue stuffed squirrel toy. she was unsure about going in, Amalia happened to notice the person she carefully got down and went over and said "hello" the person jumped in surprise, not expecting someone to see them. she said "it's ok, who are you? I'm Amalia" she looked at them and saw a girl just slightly smaller than her, but almost the same height except for a few inches. the young girl had almost shoulder-length white hair, the girl hugged her squirrel closer as some form of comfort. Amalia noticed the girls eyes one was a blue colour, and the other a dark grey colour 'her eyes are like uncle Ciel's' Amalia thought and a faint scar over the blue eye.

The girl quietly said "I-I'm Sumire" Amalia said "hi Sumire, do you want to come in? my dad won't mind, my nanna told us about you and grandpa" Sumire wondered who she meant since in her mind they couldn't be who Amalia meant. as they didn't look like a nanna and grandpa, they have grey hair and are older. Amalia said "that man is my grandpa" she pointed to Vincent "and that lady is my nanna" she pointed to Rachel and then to Ciel "that's my uncle Ciel, he has eyes like you that are two different colours ones like a sapphire, and one like a purple gemstone I can't remember the name of" Sumire pointed to Sebastian and said quietly "who's he?" Amalia said "oh that's my dad, do you want to come in? He's nice and so is uncle Ciel ill come with you" she held her hand out.

Now Sumire was unsure, she was slowly getting used to Rachel and Vincent being here for a little while. they'd told her about Ciel and a little about Ciel's brother and his daughter, she hadn't expected Amalia and Sebastian she hugged her toy more. After a few minutes of thought she soon agreed, Amalia held her hand Rachel looked and got a picture finding it cute. Amalia brought Sumire over Vincent said, "hello Sumire, I see you've made a friend" she kept quiet Sebastian smiled kindly at Sumire. Rachel said "Sumire this is Amalia if she hasn't introduced herself, she's the girl I was telling you about who was coming to stay for Christmas with her father who's Ciel's older brother, she's 7 years old the young man with black hair is her father his names Sebastian, and the young man sat next to me is Ciel he's Amalia's uncle"

Sebastian said "hello Sumire it's nice to meet you, Ciel and Rachel have told me a lot about you" Amalia let go of her hand and went to get the present. Sumire hugged her squirrel more now a little scared, she didn't know why but the girl shed just met Amalia made her feel safe. she buried her face in her toy trying not to cry. Vincent knelt by her "Sumire darling, what's wrong?" he asked kindly, he wanted to rub her back but didn't they needed to take baby steps with her. Amalia looked she ran over and said "I'm sorry I let go, but I wanted to get this"

Sumire peaked over her toy and saw a pretty bag, Vincent said "now what is this? shall we look inside Sumire?" she nodded. Amalia put it down and sat, Sumire did the same she carefully opened the bag and saw two toy foxes inside. Amalia said "me and daddy got a few more Christmas presents to bring, since we want to give everyone since Santa has a lot of people to give" "well that is very nice Amalia, can I see what you got Sumire?" she carefully got the two foxes out and put her squirrel on her lap. Amalia said "I want to be friends, and my dad said it's a nice way to show you want to be friends" Sumire looked at the two. "Oh, there brothers too! but they need a name" Amalia said the adults watched finding this sweet. Sumire then gave her one Amalia was confused "you too," Sumire told her, Vincent chuckled and said, "I think she wants you to have one too, and you want to be her friend?" Sumire gave a small nod. Amalia took it and said "thank you, do you want to give them a name for me please?" Sumire thought and then said, "Nai, this is Sei and this Miki" she held her squirrel up. Amalia went and got her cat and said "kitty, now kitty has a friend" Vincent left them to play, but both him and Rachel were shocked at the progress she'd done from just meeting Amalia. Sebastian thought was very proud of his daughter, and knew she would be a big help to Sumire in making her feel comfortable.
