Over the next few days, Sebastian packed everything they'd need for the trip back home. he had let Amalia pick what she wanted to bring, without telling her. at the moment they were going gift shopping, she looked at him and asked "why are we getting presents?" Sebastian said "well we do it every year for Ciel and his parents," she said "oh, I forgot" he smiled and said "it's ok, now Ciel called me the other day and said that on his way home from college, he will come to see us," she said "really!" Sebastian nodded and said "yes really, now let's pick some more gifts we have a few more to get for then we have everyone" she nodded excitedly that her uncle was coming to see them.

Soon the last gift was brought and put into the boot of Sebastian's car "now, do you want to go get a hot chocolate to celebrate school finishing for Christmas?" "Yeah, hot chocolate! can it have cream and marshmallows to please?" Sebastian chuckled at this. 'Her sweet tooth is as bad as Ciel's' he thought and said "yes it can, now let's go, shall we?" she held his hand and went back inside the shopping centre. Sebastian watched her, he was glad she was happy while he had money from his mother's inheritance, he didn't spoil her, or use it fast Ciel's father had taught him how to save and invest. he had a saving fund for Amalia for when she's of age to go to university if she wanted, or to do whatever made her happy he had promised himself to never turn out like his birth father.

It didn't take long to reach the cafe "ok go sit down, I will go and get our drinks" he told her Amalia nodded and found an empty seat where Sebastian could see her. the cafe was not too big and not too small, soon Sebastian was being served the man working behind the counter said: "what's your order?" Sebastian said "one small hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows, a chocolate chip shortbread and a black coffee" the man nodded putting what he'd ordered into the till and said, "alright is that everything?" Sebastian said "no nothing else" the man nodded saying "alright then, that comes to £6.40" Sebastian paid and went to wait for his tray. soon it was finished he got any sugar and napkins and went to Amalia, he placed the tray down she'd taken her coat off.

Sebastian took his coat off and sat down he put Amalia's hot chocolate in front of her and said "now for a special treat" he put the shortbread down she gasped and said "my favourite!" Sebastian chuckled and said "yes, for doing so well at the Christmas concert since Christmas is so close, and Santa and friends and family might have gotten you something, I would get you as a reward this is the next best thing" she nodded and broke the shortbread and ate some. Sebastian had some of his drink "awe they have to be brother and sister" "or cousins, that's so sweet he's taking her out like this" Sebastian could hear them talk, and comments like this he didn't mind it made him feel better about being a young father and helped him feel like he's not doing wrong.

Once they had both finished their drinks, Sebastian put the tray with the empty plates and cups back and went back over to her and said "now let's go home" she nodded and said "ok" he held her hand. as they walked back to the car, he could see she was excited to see Ciel, and he knew that she'd be even more excited if he said where they were going and he couldn't handle her being that excited.

The next day Ciel was going to come, Sebastian had the last bits packed up for them to bring and the presents wrapped and put back into the car. Amalia was sitting at the coffee table working on a page for her scrapbook for school the cat curled up on her lap. it was then a knock was heard at the door Amalia got up to look and see who it was, Sebastian told her never to answer the door look and see who it is first then if it's someone she knew she could open the door, if not go to get him she looked through the window and gasped seeing Ciel. He stood there his short grey-blue hair almost covering his right eye, she ran and opened the door and hugged him and said "uncle Ciel!" he wobbled but stood his ground, he looked down and rubbed her head and knelt saying "is your dad in?" she said "yeah! I'll go get him" she ran off to get Sebastian.

Ciel let himself in and closed the door behind him taking his coat off and looked around, he saw the cat and said "better stay away from me" he was a dog person. he sat down Sebastian came in and said "hello Ciel" he looked and said, "hey Sebastian, so got everything?" Sebastian nodded "yes just packed the last we got gifts yesterday there in my car, did you drive down?" "No got the train since you're going, I figured you could take me" "of course did you get on for a child, I mean your height" "what I take advantage that I'm seen as so young yet you" he looked Sebastian up and down. "You on the other hand gets mistaken for my father if we go out, so yeah" Sebastian rolled his eyes. this was usual between them, he went to make drinks for them and put the cat in another room because of Ciel's allergies.

Amalia was back working on her scrapbook "what's that?" Ciel asked she looked and said "homework" "homework?" Amalia nodded and said "yeah, we have to keep a diary of what we do over Christmas for our traditions, dad said to make it a scrapbook and the different things we do each day that I think are important can go on the page" "oh I see, so what about today's?" "I put that we wrapped presents, and you visiting" Ciel smiled and said "I see" Sebastian came in with Ciel's earl grey tea. he said "telling you about the homework?" Ciel nodded "yeah, good idea have you said about?" "No, she's excited enough her favourite uncle is visiting, if I said that even I couldn't handle that, and I thought you could say" "shifting responsibility?" "of course not, it can be a surprise you have for her" Ciel rolled his heterochromia eyes his right was purple while his left a deep blue.

Amalia had soon finished and said "I've finished dad" Sebastian looked and said "that is very good, now have you wrote down in your notebook about what's on the page and what you did today?" she nodded and said "yeah," Sebastian said "good girl, now Ciel has something to tell you" she looked. Ciel put his cup down "well do you want to come home for Christmas with me?" she looked at Ciel then Sebastian, and said "will my dad come to?" she was unsure if Sebastian wasn't there. it wouldn't feel the same if he wasn't there, and being away that long wasn't something she was used to. a night or two she was ok with "no he'll come to, I wouldn't have you come for Christmas without him" that made her feel a lot better. she said "ok, if my dad can come to" she had a very serious look which both men found cute.

Amalia now added a new part to her diary and scrapbook, while she did Ciel talked to Sebastian "also my mother told me they have a foster kid for the holidays" "oh yes, they did that after you went to college right, it's every Christmas?" "Yeah, this time a little girl, she's about Amalia's age but she's got a support animal a dog Pluto" "oh come on, a dog really?" "Yeah, nothing I can do about that, but I've told my parents and they'll keep the dog away from you as much as they can" Sebastian nodded. he didn't like dogs he'd never harm them "so I guess we need another present then?" he asked Ciel said "yeah, I'd get Amalia to pick it out since they're around the same age" he nodded and said "alright then, we'll do that before we travel tomorrow" Ciel nodded and messaged his father telling him what they were going to do.

Amalia said "I'm done," Sebastian said "ok I'll put the page up, now you know where going to Ciel's why don't you pack some things you want to bring with you like toys and such? there's a little girl staying there for the holidays who doesn't have parents" "oh why?" "Well, Ciel's parents like to give a home to children who don't have a family for Christmas, and let them have a family Christmas" Ciel nodded and said "yes, my parents feel lonely since I go away for school and want to give boys and girls a safe place to stay until they find there forever home and new family, and this little girl has no mummy and daddy as they are like your mummy," Amalia said "oh like mama?" Sebastian put her on his knee and said "yes, now when we go tomorrow, I want you to try and be friends with her" Amalia nodded and said, "I will!"

After they had lunch Amalia went to play Sebastian said "ok tell me about this child Rachel and Vincent are fostering" Ciel said "I've not met her personally, I've seen pictures and things they've sent since she came like November time but my father told me she has an emotional support animal a dog called Pluto, he's a large one almost like a wolf and she has a stuffed squirrel called Miki that's like Amalia with her stuffed animal she keeps by" Sebastian nodded and said "I see, anything else?" Ciel thought and said "oh, she might be shy and quiet at first, she's not really talked much she answers if you speak to her and such but anything else she doesn't really talk, but maybe Amalia being friends with her might help her open a little she's been to a therapist and from what my mother said it's just a matter of her being comfortable and opening up on her own, but maybe some of your sweets will help" Sebastian chuckled and said "maybe, but I'll see about her doing some of the traditions me and Amalia do, it might help her get comfortable with us" Ciel nodded and said "defiantly"

Amalia soon came down and said "dad" Sebastian looked and said "yes she came over and said "is it ok if we get the girl staying whit Nana and grandpa a gift for Christmas?" Sebastian said "you know, I think you can read minds as before me and Ciel were talking about how as well as Santa's gifts he'll bring, it would be nice for us to get her one so tomorrow before we travel you help me pick a Christmas present" she nodded. Sebastian kissed her head and said "good girl, also I want this little girl to join in on the things we do" "like the gingerbread house and cookies?" Sebastian nodded and said "yes, it's so she feels included and not left out she's a very shy girl, and might not talk at first or be near you but I'm sure you'll make friends with her soon, we'll be staying until just after Christmas so we've got 2 almost 3 weeks there"

Amalia said, "yay I can spend time with everyone!" Sebastian chuckled and said "yes you can, and we can also do things together" "ok will uncle Ciel's boyfriend be there?" "Well, I don't know, but if he is I'm sure you'll see him at Ciel's house" she nodded smiling looking forward to it. In her mind, she was planning all the fun things she could do there with everyone.
