Chapter 5:Raven
I dismissed the meeting very quickly after we discussed today's heist and I couldn't help but steal glances at Tara.
As I walked up the flight of stairs to my chambers, I kept reminding myself that she was not my sister and she would pay for her mistakes. That she would suffer for killing Vega.
I sigh, as I walk up the last flight of stairs to my chambers. Yesterday night I had slept in the guest rooms downstairs after work, but today I was planning to enjoy the luxuries that the fancy room provided.
I unlocked the handle and stepped in to be greeted by a cold sea breeze coming from an open window. The room was just the way I left it. With white linen sheets and silk pillows my room was one of the fanciest in the headquarters.
Exhausted from the meeting, I sunk into the bed and started thinking.
I would actually have to talk to her. I couldn't ignore her, and for this mission I partnered myself with her so I could see if she was good enough to be in the Raven gang so I couldn't ignore her too long.
I sighed again, my life was never easy.

A knock on the door startled me awake, immediately my eyes shot up to the wall clock. I was still not noon so the knock was not related to the mission I reminded myself.
"Come in! "I commanded.
A small figure walked into the room. It was Tara.
I raised an eyebrow at her, my expression still blank.
"Miss Raven, James told me to give you these plans..." she said feebly, she was hardly audible.
I stared back at her for a moment. She seemed so weak and defenseless but I knew she wasn't. I knew Tara to well, this gave me a grin.
"Stop acting weak, "I chide, "I doesn't suit you and you can leave the plans on that desk and leave,"
She looks back at me, a little shocked that she hasn't managed to fool me and then her eyes trailed down to the red pendent hanging from my neck.
I forgot to tuck it in.
Suddenly her eyes bulged, "That pendent, where-where d-did you find it!" she stuttered.
I mentally cursed myself for being such an idiot.
"Nowhere, why does that matter so much?" I questioned, trying to should like I didn't know what she meant, she didn't buy it.
"My father designed one for me and my sister but my sister died and-" she muttered.
My temper rose up immediately, "Dead!?" I yell back with anger, knocking a chair over in the process.
She flinched but didn't move, she stared me dead in the eye and yelled back, "Where is my sister, what have you done to her!"
So, she didn't suspect that I was Maria, good. Of course, she wouldn't. After I changed to Raven I dyed my hair red. She would have never guessed it was me.
This gave me an idea.
"You're right about one thing," I said, "she is dead, but that's all because of you!" I mutter bitterly.
"What are you talking about?" she croaks, her tone showing her desperation.
"The girl, Vega, you pushed of the ship is your sister, "I explain, "She changed her name from Maria to Vega when she joined that Raven gang and you killed her!"
MY words were filled with venom and my tone was icy with accusation but she didn't seem convinced.
Suddenly, tears rolled down her cheeks in realisation and ran out the room.
I was satisfied that my words hurt her in the way I intended it to. She had to feel the pain I did.
