I wake up again, with some of my friends and family surrounding me. "Are you okay?" Brooklyn asks. "Well, physically no, but at least her depression is better," my dad answers. He clearly doesn't know about Noah. "Yeah, at least something's better," Brooklyn agrees. I can tell that Brooklyn knows I'm not better by her stare. Probably best not to tell my parents the bad news, they'll just worry about me more. My parents and all my friends except Brooklyn and Alex leave. Brooklyn joins Alex on my bed. "What's going on?" She asks me. I shut my eyes, I don't feel like explaining it. "She doesn't feel like talking about it," Alex says, reading my thoughts. Brooklyn nods and places a hand on top of my right one. "We'll always be here to help, just let us know when you needs us," she says sadly. "Thank you," I reply. She gets off the bed and walks towards the door. "Let's go, Alex," she says when she reaches the doorway. "I'm staying here," Alex says sternly. Brooklyn smiles and leaves. "When will I get better?" I ask. "Physically or mentally?" Alex asks. "Physically," I reply. "Soon, very soon, next thing you know, you'll close your eyes and wake up all better," he says encouragingly. I smile lightly and close my eyes. "I love you," Alex whispers as he lightly kisses my head. I fall asleep.
