An Affliction Of Waves
Offerings of once lilac sprigs blossomed
In her ancient tides, silken petals
Sweeping yawning rock in
Wistful waves.
Prayers aplenty,
Bathed in blessings peaceful
Of past devotion.
Sleeping years passing into
Days of pearl coated voices,
Blending and bleeding from her
Dripping coastlines of folly.
Her seas rebelling, swelling with
Each breath, the deepest blue
Swallowing once rolling greens.
Alas her every exhale fading,
For imperishable chains claw,
Curl and bind.
