Chapter one: discolors

A young man sits back on an old boring sofa pulling out an old game system to keep him awake until he had something to do. The house was silent except for a ringing of electricity that the man has gotten so used to that he doesn't even notice it's their. When his game starts up little animated laser noise come out of this game system. He keeps his attention to the game until foot steps draws his attention away from it causing the game over screen to appear.

His father walks down to gets his stuff and head out not saying a word something was bothering his father from the night before he didn't care to ask. He sets the game system down walking up to is fathers room the was clean as always. Nothing was ever dirty unless more importantly matter got in the way but that didn't happen often. He pulls a box out from under his fathers bed that didn't go with anything in the house besides his game system. He takes off the lid seeing pictures pulling one out. On the image it shows a happy unfamiliar couple. He often came to look at the pictures always wonders why if father has pictures of these people. He keeps looking around the box not seeing anything that he hasn't seen before.

He puts everything back into place and goes to walk out of the room when something catches his eye. He turns to another discolored part of his fathers room which seemed to be bright red. He walks close to it pulling it out a letter from behinds a shelf that he has always dismissed. On the front of it, it read "To Spencer, my bright son." He looks at it surprised seeing his name on the cover and quickly opens it seeing cursive lettering and reads it.

Dear Son
This letter is being written one the first day you were born and already I can tell how amazing you are going to be. When you came into this world I could tell that you are going to be something bigger than anyone else has ever been. I am writing this so that you will remember that no matter what gets in your way you will get around it and you will have this letter to tell you.

Love, mom

Spencer looks at it for a while. He knows the stories about mom and what happened but he has never held this letter before. This letter doesn't tell of anything of what his dad says mom is actually like. He walks to the bathroom and stares at himself for awhile......

...before slowly clawing at his neck pulling out chunks of rubbery flesh.
