"Victor Krum!" Dumbledore's voice called as the whole hall erupted into cheers for the famous seeker, him striding towards the front past Dumbledore with a smirk on his face.

"The champion of Beauxbatons is Fleur Delacore." The man stated, the group of girls at the Ravenclaw table cheering loudly, along with the students of hogwarts. "The Hogwarts champion—" Elodie squeezed Cedric's hand, she hadn't let go of it all morning.

A part of her was begging for his name not to be called but the other half wanted him to be the Hogwarts champion, a sense of pride for her house and her best friend. "Cedric Diggory!"

The boys face beamed with happiness as he stood up, Elodie standing with him as she squeezed him tightly into a quick hug before cheering with the rest of her house.

"That's my boy!" Fred heard Elodie call in excitement, her stood on the bench of her table, clapping enthusiastically as she called his name.

"So cute." Fred muttered to himself as Lee looked at him in confusion. "What?"

"You just called Cedric Diggory cute." Lee stated, amusement over his face as Fred looked at him in horror.

"No! God no." The ginger boy shook his head as his twin laughed loudly.

"He was talking about Miss Sinclair over there." George told Lee, motioning to the Hufflepuff table as Elodie was still cheering, a wide smile on her face causing her dimples to show.

As Dumbledore continued to talk, Elodie sat at her table looking at Cedric who was relishing in the attention, a proud smile on his lips. The girl then turned her attention to the goblet of fire, brows furrowed as blue flames started to rapidly begin spinning again.

Dumbledore made his way over to the Goblet, confusion evident on his face as the blue changed to a red, it firing up toward the ceiling. Another piece of paper dropped down, falling its way into Dumbledore's hand as he muttered out a name before shouting it, "Harry Potter!"

The boy with glasses sat back down in an attempt to hide himself, the hall silent as Dumbledore screamed his name, Hermione pushing him to his feet. The hall was silent as he walked over to the Champions, him sharing the same confusion as everyone else before a Hufflepuff shouted "He's a cheat!"

Elodie snapped her head towards the boy in front of her, he was angry. "He's not even seventeen yet!" Another boy from her house called.

"Will you shut up?!" She snapped at the pair who instantly went quiet, not expecting the shy girl to go off on them.

The champions then disappeared, along with the professors as the students in the hall dispersed all whispering about the events which just happened. Elodie found herself glaring at the students who were hating on the younger boy, sure it wasn't intimidating like how any other person would glare, it was more like when a child gets angry when Elodie glared at someone.

"Isn't our house supposed to be the nicest?" Elodie grouchily said to Finley who walked along side of her, his eyes watching the Hufflepuffs students as they were hating on Harry, a frown attached to his face.

"We're supposed to be." Finley said back to her as they entered the Hufflepuff common room, multiple students resided to sitting in the common room, discussing the recent events in sour distaste.

The hate for Harry Potter continued, most of the Hogwarts houses turning against him, even some members of his own house and Elodie found herself disliking many members of Hufflepuff due to the silly little badges they made along side the Slytherins.

Many Hufflepuff's felt that Harry was trying to take the attention away from Cedric, which couldn't be any further from the truth and even Cedric knew.

It was the weekend and despite her love for Cedric she couldn't stand being stood around all the people of her house hating on Harry as they fawned all over her best friend so as she entered the great hall on Saturday she looked over at the Gryffindor table and saw Harry sat alone and before she could even think about what she was doing she found herself walking over to where he was sat, ignoring Billie who called her name as she sat with the Weasley family along with Hermione and Lee and instead she sat in front of Harry.

She began making herself a herbal tea, humming softly to herself as Harry looked at her in confusion, watching her grab a couple of white chocolate cookies.

"Whatcha reading?" She asked Harry, her twiddling her middle finger in the air as the silver teaspoon in her mug stirred the tea itself.

"Er," he began, eyebrows knitting together as she looked down at the paper which clearly painted Harry as a child, spreading multiple lies about him in the first few sentences which she read.

"Ugh." Elodie rolled her eyes, ripping the paper into four pieces before handing her cup of herbal tea to Harry. "Here, it's a blend of chamomile, spiced apple and vanilla, it's great for calming yourself."

"Oh Um thank you." He gave her a small smile before lifting the mug to his lips and sipping the slightly hot drink. Elodie watched in anticipation, hoping he'd like it and as his smile grew so did hers, "it's actually really nice."

"I think so." She states as she made her own, "how are you feeling?"

The boy shrugged, looking down at his full plate of food as Elodie's hand went on top of his, shocking him. "The world is full of arseholes Harry, you're just not one of them." She began, shocking him again with the swear word, "they're all just jealous, they'll get over it soon enough. And if they don't then you'll always have me."

He held a smile on his face, finding comfort in her soft voice and her small thumb which rubbed the top of his hand.

When Elodie had walked right past the group, they all watched as she sat with Harry, shock evident in some of their faces as she ignored them.

"What's she doing talking to him?" Ron said spitefully, glaring over at the pair as Hermione rolled her eyes.

"Being a decent human being." The girl stated back to her friend, "it's more than what we're all doing. Just sitting here allowing him to be the butt of every joke." She spoke seriously but all her words did was make Ron roll his eyes.

They all watched the pair, Elodie making him smile as he tried her tea. "I bet she made him her chamomile tea." Billy spoke.

"What's that?" George asked with Fred following with, "sounds disgusting."

"It's actually really nice, she says it's supposed to help with anxiety. She drinks at least three cups a day." She told the twins, watching as Elodie drank her own tea, her shoulders relaxing slightly.

"For her own anxiety?" Fred asked her in a quieter voice, to make sure no one else heard him.

Billie looked at the boy, an unreadable expression on his face. "I think so, she's a very complex girl, most people just see her as the kind and quiet Hufflepuff but—"

"She's so much more." Fred finished her sentence, his eyes now on the brunette girl who had her hand on Harry's in a way to comfort him. Billy watched as Fred stared at the girl, his clear adoration on his face which anyone could see except Elodie who was most likely blind to Fred's evident feelings on her.

"Are you going to Hogsmeade today?" Elodie asked Harry before eating a piece of her cookie.

He shook his head. "No, I have no friends to go with and I don't really fancy being around more people who hate me. I might just hang out in the common room whilst no one is there."

Elodie frowned at this, "you could go with me? Or I can stay back with you—"

He smiled at this but cut her off. "Go have fun, you don't have to hang around me whilst I'm moping around."

"But—"

"Elle, it's fine." He cut her off again, standing to his feet. "Thank you though, you don't know how much I appreciate it."

"If you need me, come find me okay?"

He nodded, "thanks again. Especially for the tea." With a wink, Harry walked back through the hall, head down to hide from the glares he received but a smile on his face all because Elodie showed him some kindness.

The Weasleys and their friends watched the boy leave the hall before all turning their attention towards Elodie, she sat with the mug between her small hands, her feet swinging back and forth with a small smile on her face.

"Should we invite her over?" Hermione asked.

"Actually I think we should allow this scene to play out first." George smirked, nodding his head towards his twin who was already walking over to where Elodie had sat.

"Is this seat taken?" Fred asked the girl, motioning to the seat besides her.

She looked up at him, her smile growing as she shook her head a no. "Please." She motioned for him to sit down which he did, leaving only an inch between them and Elodie could practically feel the warmth radiating off of him.

Fred was sporting a long sleeved, stripy grey top along with black jeans, and an oversized denim jacket hung off his shoulders and Elodie couldn't help but take in all of him. He smirked, noticing her eyes were looking him up and down and he scooted closer to her, their arms now touching.

"You going to Hogsmeade?" He asked.

She hummed, sipping her tea. "Yes are you?" She asked hopefully.

"I am, maybe you could join us for a butterbeer?"

"Hm, I don't know. My schedule is pretty full." She spoke sarcastically, a wide grin on her lips.

"Is it really?" He cocked his left brow up, his tongue poking into his inner cheek.

"Mhm." Elodie nodded, biting down on her lower lip, "what's in it for me?"

"The pleasure of my company?" He cockily spoke.

"Is that it? I don't know, doesn't sound very tempting."

He chuckled, "I think I can make it worth your while."

She stood to her feet before leaning down so that her head was level with his, "I'll believe that when I see it." She stood back up tall, "bye Freddie."
