Chapter Two, Breaking Kol's Curse
Chapter Two, Breaking Kol's Curse
It has been a month since the fiasco of a ball, during that time Kreacher had been collecting everything they would need for the ritual including the Sun Stone which was found in a safe in the Black Villa in Italy. Between him and the Mikaelsons they had barely let her gather things for the ritual to free Kol's magic and items she may need to help Finn. Instead she played with her son, shared texts with Caroline often having a group chat with her and Bex when they got fed up of the men filled house, had regular talks with Andy who was quickly becoming like a mother to Amara and was going to move in with them once she found enough house-elves to employ to look after the property in New Orleans, and corresponding with Sue Li who ran the orphanage in England as she was inquiring whether Rebekah could adopt one of the many orphans of war despite being a vampire.
However, like Amara had informed Rebekah, checks would need to be made regarding Rebekah, the town, their manor and those who lived with them. They would not send a child to live somewhere- especially another country - where the child could be hurt. So Amara was determined to end all threats for her son, future children and any nieces and nephews Rebekah or one of the others may adopt, she would help Rebekah respond via owl to Sue once everything was safe once more there was no point in actually applying until they knew Bexs would pass otherwise it would just be cruel to get her hopes up for nothing and Amara couldn't do that to her new sister.
"Mistress, you are needed in the garden." Kreacher stated, pulling Amara from her thoughts.
"Thank you Kreacher. I got lost in thought." Amara replied, placing the letter from Luna, Neville and the twins back on her desk before she pulled on her over-the-knee black heeled suede boots which looked really cute.
"Not at all Mistress. Kreacher is always happy to help his Mistress. If Mistress doesn't need Kreacher any more I must get back to the manor in New Orleans to train the new house-elves."
"Of course Kreacher you may go and thank you." Amara smiled at him as he popped away, his chest stuck out proudly.

Amara entered the grounds of Mikaelson manor, her heels clicking on the cobblestone porch as she looked over at Nik and his hybrids, setting everything up with a critical eye. If one thing was out of place it could spell serious trouble for all involved, but all seemed to be going perfectly. Elena, Esther and Damon were behind magical rings of fire. Looking up at the moon Amara saw it was time.
"It's time." Amara called across the courtyard, Kol was getting into place while Nik was keeping an eye on their mother, Elena and Damon who all sat behind spelled rings of fire. Rebekah stood by Amara with Teddy in her arms watching the proceedings.
"Are you ready Kol?" Amara asked kindly.
"I'm ready." Kol replied determined. "How fitting it is mother that you should die to break the curse you placed upon me like you did Nik."
"You're all abominations!" Esther shouted. "What have you done with my good son and noble Elijah?"
"Don't worry the plans you'd put in place and the spells you placed upon them will soon be lifted and they will see your true colours!" Amara snarled, her golden and silver eyes burning holes into the three for a moment before she turned away ignoring the shouts and threats thrown her way, that is until she received a text from Caroline that made her growl.
"What is it, my love?" Nik asked, concerned.
"I just received a text from Caroline. She says Bonnie is planning to exact revenge on us and is trying to convince her and Stefan. But when they both refused and Caroline even put Bonnie in her place the Wiccan witch went completely off the rails!"
"We will handle her. Bex would you like to come Wiccan witch hunting with me after I'm my full self?" Kol asked his twin.
"Oh, Kol, you must know by now that I'd love nothing more!" Rebekah replied, smirking dangerously.
Picking the Sun stone up out of the bronze bowl Amara started chanting in Latin to send her magic into the stone that started to crumble bit by bit.
"Kol, your witch-bitch of a mother now." Amara instructed, lowering the fire as Kol approached. Kol caught her as she tried to run and brought her over to the altar they had created where Amara was chanting, as Kol ripped out his mother's heart squeezing it into pulp over the dust in the bowl. Amara added some other ingredients as she chanted then nodded to Kol to get the vampire who she had slowly desiccated so he couldn't escape.
Once again, Kol dragged the vampire over the altar and ripped his heart out, squeezing it over the now bubbling crimson liquid. He stood back and allowed Amara to continue chanting as the moonlight hit the potion, nodding to her brother-in-law, Kol sped over to Elena and sucked her dry on the altar which was the last and final ingredient; before he had to drink the potion.
"It's ready, Kol." Amara smiled encouragingly at her brother and best friend all rolled into one. Grinning widely, Kol kissed Amara on the cheek, smirking as Nick growled at him before he took a deep breath and picked up the bowl and drained it in one.
He barely had time to place the bowl back on the altar before he collapsed to the floor in agony. It felt like his skin was burning as the blood churned and boiled within him. If he didn't trust his new sister implicitly he would have thought something went wrong as he squirmed and groaned on the hard floor for what felt like hours - which in fact was only ten minutes- until he felt something click and unlock within him and suddenly he felt connected to the earth once again. A feeling he hasn't felt in over a thousand years, not since he was human in fact.
"Kol?" Amara asked cautiously, as she kneeled down beside him.
"It worked!" Kol said gleefully, twisting his hand he set fire to the remains of his mother, Damon and to Elena.
"Thank you, sister." He said, pulling her into a tight hug.
"You're welcome." Amara beamed, accepting Teddy as she leaned back into Nik.
"Come big brother, let's put this last threat under the earth." Rebekah smiled viciously.
"You know I'm twelve minutes older, right?" Kol asked.
"Your point?" Rebekah asked, a hand on her hip and an eyebrow raised causing Kol to grumble with a pout upon his lips.

Author's note: DO NOT ask or demand me to update in any way shape or form. There are other ways to tell me what you thought of this story and chapter. I'm losing the will to write with the demands which is sad as I love writing but with the demands it's starting to fill like a chore than a bit of fun.
I have a life and other things I want and need to do as well not just writing like you have other things you have and need to do other than reading. So please respect that.
