Chapter Five, Pregnancy Reveal

"KLAUS!!! ANDY!!!!" Marcel and Vincent yelled, they went to kick open the front door but it was swung open by Kreacher who's eyes widened at the state of his Mistress. Both felt incredibly thankful that Rebekah and Kol had taken the twins and Teddy to the zoo so Teddy didn't see his mother passed out in Marcel's arms.
"Mistress!" Keacher gasped. "Take her to the living room." The moment he had finished speaking Niklaus and Andromeda arrived, concern visible on their faces.
"What's happened?" Niklaus demanded, a tender hand resting upon Amara's cheek.
"Let me get her to the lounge and we will explain." Marcel demanded concern evident on his face.

Without another word Niklaus turned and led the way to the lounge where Andy already had several potions on the table - just in case they're needed - and Kreacher was hovering beside the elder Black woman until he felt two other magics brushing against his core coming from his Mistress - they will only bind with him if they reached three months old after birth - which only meant one thing; Amara was pregnant and with twins.
"Mistress is carrying twins." Kreacher whispered in awe.
"Is this true?" Niklaus demanded of his friends, hope in his eyes and voice.

"Yes." Marcel confirmed, gently lowering her on to the sofa. "She collapsed in the cafe."
"And I performed a spell that confirmed she's pregnant. But we need to be careful." Vincent warned.
"Why?" Andromeda asked shrewdly, wand in hand.
"I wouldn't trust any of the witches or warlocks of the French Quarter, apart from myself as I'd never harm her, but most especially Agnes and her lot." Vincent replied, brushing a strand of hair out of his sister's face.
"Thank you." Niklaus muttered, sitting on the coffee table so Andy could run some tests.
"You know we will protect her, Klaus," Marcel told him, "she's our baby sister."

They lapsed into silence as Andy completed her tests on Amara with the help of a hovering Kreacher; letting the pair work in silence as they made sure all three were healthy.
"If you need any for her let me know and I will do my all to help." Vincent stated, breaking the silence as Andy lowered her wand.
"Thank you, I shall bear that in mind." Andy smiled at the man. "Amara and the twins are doing just fine." She smiled as the three men breathed a sigh of relief. "She just needs to take it easy and to increase her vitamins and iron levels."

"I'll go and fetch them from the town over." Vincent told her. "The last thing we need is Agnes and her cronies trying to kill her because of the possible Tribrid or Quadbrid babies. She's a Wixen and also the Alpha female or the Crescent pack while Klaus is the Original Hybrid." Vincent explained at Marcel's look of confusion. "Knowing her as I unfortunately do, they could even go after Teddy as Klaus Blood adopted him and he's like Amara."
"Anyone who dares threaten my mate or my children will be killed in the most brutal way. I'll paint the streets with their blood." Klaus growled, his hybrid eyes and the veins beneath his eyes on full display.
"Nik calm down." Amara whispered as she came round, her hand squeezing Niklaus'.

"Amara!" Multiple cries wrenched the air as they all crowded around the sofa only to be pushed back by a burst of house-elf magic causing them to fall into the other armchairs around the room.
"Thank you Kreacher." Amara whispered, stretching as she slowly sat up.
"You're welcome, Mistress." Kreacher bowed his head and clicked his fingers causing a glass of water to appear in his hand. "Drink Mistress. And Kreacher knows his kind Mistress does not like to be crowded and others should know that as well." A scaving glare was directed at the men in the room being the only ones who had crowded her.

"You're right Kreacher." Niklaus agreed, coming closer to crouch down beside the coffee table giving her the space she needed but also being close enough that it settled his wolf and vampire; while shocking Marcel in the process as it had been very rare - when he had been living with the Mikaelsons decades ago - for Niklaus to admit when he was in the wrong. It was then he realised that his best friend, his little sister was not only good for him (making Marcel feel human) but it was the same for Niklaus and the other Mikaelsons (perhaps minus Elijah, he'd heard that she had helped Finn and he was finding himself without the brainwashing of their mother).

"Congratulations little sister, Klaus." Vincent congratulated a happy smile donning his lips, kissing her forehead once Amara and Niklaus had their moment together after Andromeda had done a scan on Amara revealing the two babies growing inside her.
"Thank you." Amara and Niklaus beamed, tears sat within Niklaus' eyes making them shine brighter as he was filled with an overwhelming sense of happiness.

"Here." Niklaus said, handing both Vincent and Marcel a copy of the scan photo. He knew how close Amara was with the pair and was more than happy to share in this experience with them, especially as they were already an uncle to Teddy, and he vowed to himself that he will put more of an effort in to get to know Vincent and to reconnect with Marcel.
"Thank you." Vincent smiled, slipping the photo into his wallet where several photos already sat of himself with Amara and Teddy, Amara and himself and Amara with himself and Marcel.
"I'm liking this new you Klaus." Marcel teased but with a note of seriousness to his voice that was easily picked up on by the supernatural creatures in the room.

"Me too." Niklaus agreed, kissing Amara's head as it was all down to her and Teddy. "The others are nearly here." He added hearing the car approaching the driveway.
"Oh! How about we give them, Caroline and my friends a surprise." Amara whispered quietly so those approaching couldn't hear, with a mischievous grin upon her lips her eyes sparkling brightly. But for good measure she waved her hand creating a Silencing dome.
"What would that be my love?" Niklaus questioned, a laugh bubbling in his throat. He loved seeing her so happy and seeing her eyes sparkle like that; the most precious gems simply could not compare to her eyes. Plus he had been so worried about her these past few weeks.

"How about to announce the pregnancy I'm sitting on the kitchen counter my arms and legs wrapped around you as you kiss me but in my hand is the scan photo of the twins and either Marcel or Vincent takes a picture of us like that on our phones and Andy takes one of Bekah and Kol's reaction to us and the scan photo after Kreacher tells them where we are." Amara explained with a cheeky grin that Niklaus couldn't help but reciprocate as his sexy smirk appeared on his lips as he pulled Amara on to his lap kissing her passionately.
"Oi!" Marcel shouted, interrupting them. "If you want to do this we better do it now and save that for the bedroom tonight. I have no wish to see my little sister in such a state."

"Neither do I." Vincent added, looking rather green.
"I certainly do not wish to see any of the sort." Andromeda added teasingly. "Amara is a second daughter to me and I certainly do not wish to see any of that." She gently helped Amara off of Niklaus and into her arms for a loving hug that enveloped her in a motherly hug that Amara relished given how long she had gone without it. "Congratulations little dove, I love you so much and I am so proud of you just like the others would be." Andromeda whispered in Amara's ear. "And you too Niklaus, you've come a long way and I'm proud of you."
"Thank you Andy." Niklaus muttered, feeling both touched and a tad uncomfortable as he intertwined his hand with Amara's as they headed to the kitchen, being short on time as they were.

To say Kol and Bekah were shocked at the sight they were greeted with was an understatement, but they were incredibly happy for their brother and Amara. Very soon the manor would be filled with even more baby laughs and little feet padding across the floors; and they couldn't wait. Smiles stretched impossibly wide across their faces as they watched Amara and Niklaus explain to two year old Teddy that he would soon be getting two new siblings.
"Babies?" Teddy asked, standing before his parents who crouched in front of him, looking at them before returning his eyes to the scan photo in his hands.

"Yes sweetie." Amara agreed, running her hand through his curls. "Mummy is having two babies, your new siblings. But that just means you'll have more babies to play with and Daddy and I will always love you so much, little wolf."
"Protect them like Di and Oscar?" Teddy asked, looking at his Dad now.
"That's right my littlest wolf." Niklaus agreed, kissing his head of curls. "We have to protect them and Mummy as it's why Mummy has been poorly lately."
"Teddy protect his babies." Teddy declared puffing out his chest.
"You're babies?" Andy asked her grandson, stifling her laughs. He was simply too cute.

"Yes! Teddy's babies." For emphasis Teddy pointed to both patches on the scan photo where the twins resided and then poked himself in the chest to drive the message across further. At that Kol couldn't help but laugh as his nephew was too cute for his own good, tears poured down his cheeks as he clutched his sides; like a domino affect everyone ended up laughing as Teddy puffed out his chest happily, a big grin on his face before he kissed the scan photo twice, placed it on the coffee talks and went to play with Diana and Oscar.
"Oh I love him." Bekah laughed, wiping the tears from her eyes.

"Me too. I'm glad he handled it so well." Amara said relieved, picking her phone up off the coffee table to let her friends know while Niklaus sent the picture to Finn. He was trying to make up for what he's done to his younger siblings while finding himself so he deserved to be in his niece and nephews lives and know about his new nieces or nephews as long as he made an effort with them.

Pansy🌸: Still idiotic ones as you've already threatened him.
Daphne🦉: several times in fact!

Nev🐻, Gred 💥, Forge💥, and Draco🐉: Okay, okay. We get the message we're overprotective of Amara. But after everything we have to be. Congratulations 🥳 little sister we love you 🥰

Astoria🦄, Trace🐨, and Millicent🐼: we're all overprotective of Amara and everyone too, you know so just calm it boys. Congratulations Mal! Love you 🥰

Sue🪷: Congratulations Mara! How did Teddy take it?
Amara🐺: thanks guys I love you all too. He took it really well, watch this he is adorable 🥰 he called the twins his babies 🥹

Carebear💕: OMG!!! That's so goddamn cute 🥰🥹 oh I love him! Congratulations Mara and you too Klaus. I was actually gonna call you, I'm on my way to New Orleans now. I'll call and put you on speaker if that's alright?

Amara🐺: Thanks Care. I'm glad you're taking me up on my offer and getting away from that toxic town and of course it's fine.

The minute Amara had sent that text her phone started ringing the caller Id showing it was Caroline.
"Hey Care." Amara greeted smiling in thanks as Kreacher brought her some honey tea as she relaxed into the sofa cushions curled into her Nikkie. Her eyes tracked Teddy's movements as he played with the dinosaurs with his two cousins.

"Marlie, hey! I'm on my way to New Orleans. I've decided to take you up on your offer, if it still stands, and get away from this toxic town. Oh! Plus, on my way I'm going to stop at any baby shops that are cute for Teddy, Diana and Oscar, and your twins. And I'm getting things for you too! I've heard from Bekah that Andy has warned you to take it easy, and I actually want to be there for you. You're my friend and my support, plus I don't want to be some distant auntie. I also promised Luna and Bekah to help them plan the best wedding for you and Klaus. I'm an excellent event and party organiser." Caroline rambled.

"Care, calm down of course my offer still stands. I'd never withdraw something after promising it." Amara soothed. "That's really sweet of you but you don't have to get us anything and I promise to take it easy."
"There's more than enough of us to make sure you do." Kol interrupted.
"You know I will definitely make sure you take it easy, little wolf." Niklaus added, kissing her forehead, a strong protective note to his voice that only an Alpha male could hold for their mate.

"Protective Klaus alert." Caroline laughed.
"You have no idea." Amara giggled, ignoring the pout Niklaus was giving her until she felt his hand in her tickling spot and gave in, giving a peck to the lips.
"Oh and too bad. I'm going to spoil you, Teddy, Diana, Oscar and the twins rotten so be prepared. I'll see you soon." Caroline added.

"Okay, drive safe." Amara warned as they said their goodbyes and hung up leaving the witch-werewolf hybrid wondering how she got so lucky to have the support network she had now? Yes she had to lose some people along the way when they betrayed her trust but as of right now she wouldn't change anything for the world.
