Start the day
The sadness in his heart- the pain in his soul. Wanting to fade away, reach his lover- who was too far away. He was sitting on the cabin floor, leaning on the cool cabin walls.
Percy would have usually put up a brave facade. Pretended that he was upset but then be brave for the others. But, if there was one thing that he could not break, it was promises. If he promised something- breaking it was even worse than his heartbreaking down. Percy stepped outside his cabin- just wishing he did not have to face anything.

The emptiness in her soul, the crushing of her heart. I pained- more than many people could imagine, but she knew people who could.
Thalia shivered against the cold, bare walls of her cabin. Her throat was sore from all the screaming she did yesterday. However much she did not show it, Thalia knew that she had wanted to just let her feelings out. Her hair was a complete mess, she knew she had to do something to it before anyone guessed- mainly Percy, that she had been screaming that night. She stepped out of her cabin- just wishing to see her cousins, and Grover- hopefully, he had come by now, so that she could just be with them.

He had a crushed heart, a burnt soul. Aching for some comfort, a break maybe. But really, he wanted to be with his cousins and just let the pain fade- even though he knew it never worked like that.
Nico had bags around his eyes. Pronounced due to his pale skin. He knew he had not slept well that night. It was clear that until Nico could get a break- which was not possible, he would never get that minute of comfort that he was longing for. He knew everybody did. A break, with all the people who died, back to life was impossible, even if the world burned down. For even if they did, he doubted that Elysium would bring him peace- Nico was already damaged, and once a person was, they could never forget.

People could pretend,
they could hide,
they could heal, but they would never be the same.
Once someone's damaged,
there's no peace,
no love.
There's just pain,
There's an emptiness, due to which you'd never be the same.
Hide,
There's a black wall.
Runaway,
turn away from the door.
There may be light,
at the end of the tunnel.
But how bright is it?
Is it even bright enough to light the darkness,
up?
running,
hoping to find some peace,
But then you find,
There's no light bright enough at all.
But then,
how long do you have to run,
to even find the end of the tunnel at all?
But remember,
there's always light at the end of the tunnel.
