Light exited the school building as students were even coming out as well or were already out.

After remembering that he saw something fallen from the sky, back when he was in class.
Light wanted to go and see what it was there, along to see he was imaging things or not.
So he went and started to walk, going around the building to found where that so called object had landed.

Walking past the other students who were currently leaving the school grounds, before he got to the yard itself.

He stop walking as there on the grass, was the object that he saw from the classroom window lying there.

Slowly Light goes up, over to the object was and crouch down, to see what it was.

A Black Notebook?!

Light decides to go and pick up the notebook, so that he could take a closed look at the cover of it.

DEATH NOTE

"Death Note?" Light whispered out.

"As in a notebook of death?" he states, remembering reading the translate of it in English somewhere.
Light hesitated for a moment or two, before he decide to opened it, to search what's inside this notebook.

Looking at the first page, "The human who name is written in this notebook shall die" Light read out.

Hmm...

"It's pretty lame, not to mention twisted" remarked, that it was a terrible and crude prank that surely someone was playing.
Just dropped a random black notebook on the yard, outside the classroom window.
"Whoever it is; they're definitely even a weirdo, troublemaker or someone skipping class" Light thought.
Believing it to be a prank that someone definitely and obviously plays here on purpose, for a victim to pick up.
"It's really not that different from one of those chain-letters you get" he noted.
So Light decides to read the first rule again, "The human whose name is written in this notebook..shall die?" he reads out again.

Laughs

Then he continue to look through the rest of the first page of the notebook, as unknown to him two students were heading up towards him.

"Hey!"

Causing Light to jump a bit in his skin and immediately turned around, to see his two friends.
"Ready to go, Light?" Masaru asked as his friend secretly puts the notebook away into his schoolbag.

"So what were you doing there, Light?" Shiori questioned as the group left the school.
