"You didn't have to offer to take me home..." said Mia as her and Light were walking down the street.
"It's no problem" Light assured her with a smile, that it was okay for him to do this.
"I was just concerned about you witness that horrible scene" he tells her, that she doesn't be alone right now.
Making the girl smiled, "Thank you, Light" Mia thanked him.
"But anyway, I can't believe that someone died in front of my very own eyes like this" she said in disbelief.
Crossing her arms in discomfort, still couldn't get her head around that someone died.
"I haven't either. I only ever hear about it on the news, or from my dad" said Light, making the girl beside him to become curious.
"Your dad?" Mia asked, wanting to know more.
"My dad is a police officer, chief of the NPA" Light inform her.
"Wow...A police office! Your job has the coolest job" Mia stated.

Chuckle

"Sure has" Light agreed.
"But what's NPA stand for?" Mia asked, curiously.
"The National Police Agency. It was an agency administered by the National Public Safety Commission of the Cabinet Office in the cabinet of Japan, and is the central coordinating agency of the Japanese police system" Light explain to her.
"Interested" Mia hums with a nod of her head.
"Aren't you conceal about your dad? That he could get hurt or injured on the job?" she ask him.
"Me, mom and my sister worry about him concealing. It is a dangerous job to work in. He's often absent from home, spending little time with us, his family. But he does work hard and helps people, so everything good in the end" Light tells her.
"Me too" Mia stated as he became curious, wanting to know more as well.
"My older sister, she works in a similar line of work as your dad too. Every time she was out there working, I feel very worry and concern for her. Keeping her in my prays, hoping she would stay alive and well. To eat well, sleep and stay healthy" she explains to him.
"There's a saying, a motto that my father says. Justice first, family later" Light said as the two finally made it.

As they stopped in front of a house, "And now I lived by that" he finishes saying.
"That's a interested motto" Mia stated.

But then...

Light noticed something, seeing that the house she's living at...is next to hers.
Causing his eyes to widened a bit, "Y-You lived here?" he asked.
"Sure do. Along with my sister, Linda" Mia answered, telling him with a nod of her head.
"Why?" she asked, wondering why he was asking her that.
"I'm your neighbor" Light announced, gesturing to the house next door.
Causing her eyes to now widened, "Oh my God!"
"Not only we flood classmates, we're neighbors as well!" Mia states with a mix of happiness and suprise on her expression.
Along with the tone of voice, chuckle
"I guess we are" said Light.
"I still can't believe I didn't notice before" he commented in disbelief, shaking his head.
"And that we haven't bunch into each other before school" Mia said back to him.
"I blame it on my studies" Light stated with a chuckle, rubbing the back of his head.

Laughing

"It's fine it's fine. You didn't know who I was before I came to your school. Beside, you got your own life to get with" said Mia..
"Since we will see each other more since I am tutoring you, may I have your number. So that we can contact each other?" Light requested.
"Sure" Mia replied and the two did just that, exchange numbers with one another.

"Well..."

"...I'll see you tomorrow then. Goodnight Mia" Light tells her.
"Goodnight, Yagami" Mia said back with a smile on her face as he goes up to the front door.
