Time Later...

"Anyway..."

"I better get going. We've done enough for today, and I think I get it now" said Mia as she get up off the bed.
"Thank you for listening to me and being so kind to me, Light" she thank him for the company and helped with school work.
"I see you later, okay" Mia tells him as she collected her things was about to leave when...

"Are you afraid to support Kira, Mia?"

Making her stop on the spot as her hand was on the door handle.
"Worried what others would think" Light said and she turns to look back at him.
"But on the internet, where you can remain anonymous" he stated.
"I do support for who or whatever Kira is, but am afraid to say it out loud and speak my own mind" Mia admitted.
"But they all understand what's happening. Someone or something is making the bad people disappear one by one" she tells him with a smile before opening the door.

Door Open

"Mia, what if I tell you that I have a secret. A secret that would change how you think of me, how you see me. One that none knows about, even my family" said Light.
Making his fellow student become curious as she look back once again.
"I don't know. Do you trust me to tell me your secrets?" Mia ask back.
"I think you as a friend, Mia" Light confessed and her eyes widened.
"Is that true? You think of me as a friend?" Mia asked, making sure she hear right.
Light nod his head and she smiled, door close
Then Mia goes up to him, before giving Light a hug.
"Thank you" she said with a smile, couldn't believe that she finally found a friend.
One that she could talk to and hang out with, as he hugs her back.

"Mia, I am Kira" Light announced.

Laughs

"That's a really funny joke, Light" said Mia, that this isn't funny.
But Light wasn't joking about, "I'm not, Mia. I am Kira" he assured her.
Mia went and look up, to see if he's serious or not.
He was serious, because he is Kira; the one that people were talking about.
But Mia doesn't think so she breaks free from him, "You're sick. You can't be Kira" she tells him in pure disbelief.
"You're not feeling well, that's has to be it. Your completely out of it" Mia stated, that he must have a bug or something.
"But I am Kira, Mia" Light said back, that he was the real deal as ye wrap his arms around her.
But she still doesn't believe him, "Don't lie to me, Light! You're not Kira!" Mia retort as she raise her voice a bit.
"I am" Light whispered as he went and stroked her hair.
"Then prove it" Mia tells him back, that she wanted to see proof that he is who he says he is.
She wants to see some evidence, some proof that prove his claim.
Which made Light smirked, "Very well. If she wants proof, I shall show her" he thought.
"Hey. Tell me the name of the man who killed your parents. I'll make him pay for what he's done" he said.
Thinking that if he killed the suspect in the incident, surely that would be enough proof to convince her that he wasn't just deluded.
Mia suddenly become more and curious, wondering why the hell would he want the name of that man for?
That man who murder her dad and mom in cold blood, the suspect who got away with his crime and still living a normal life.
But she really needed to know if there was any truth to this matter, to what Light's saying.
If he was really and honestly saying that is Kira, this was a good opportunity that would be too good to miss.

So she decided to go along with this little game of his, to see how it plays out and to know the truth.
Even though it has been many years since that awful day, Mia still remember his name.
"Lee. Lee Honda" Mia tells him, with a marveolent glem in her eye, accepting the challenge.
"Are you sure? Once I do this, there's no going back" Light asked as he stroked her hair ends again.
Mia pressed her head against his chest, "Do it" she whispered as she wanted to finish this game...with CHECKMATE
"Show me you're Kira" Mia finished.

Light went over to his desk as she watched on.
He sat down on the chair and opened one of the drawers of the desk, getting out...a black book?
Mia came over as he picked up a pen and opened the notebook.

"What happened now?" Mia questioned once he had finish writing the name.
"It takes 40 seconds for the effect of the Death Note to take affect. Only then will you know if I am telling you the truth or not" Light informs her as he puts down the pen.
"I see" Mia replied with a nod of her head, in understanding.
But untill you see that man is dead, I got another way for you to show you that I am not crazy" said Light as he pick up the book and held it out to her
Mia hesitated for a moment, before she accepted it.
Light went and pick up the remote as Mia looks down at the book.
Turning on the TV, flicking on the screen to a new program as she decide to opened the book, to see what's inside.
But as soon as she does so, Mia eyes suddenly widened as...

On the two pages in front of her were names...Criminal Names!!
"Now you know that I am Kira" Light said as Mia immediately closed the Death Note, knowing that his claim was valid.
"Y-You K-Kira" Mia stuttered, finally getting closer and closer to believe that her fellow student is the man who's killing these criminals.

Then...

She felt someone...or someone present in the room, other than Light.
So Mia slowly looked up, and...gasp!

Thud!

The notebook dropped onto the floor as standing before her...is a monster!

"That's Ryuk. Don't mind him, he's the owner of the Death Note, and..." said Light before she cuts up.
"...shingami" Mia finishes saying as she crouch down.
Which surprised Light as she goes to pick up to the notebook Mia dropped a moment ago.
Wondering how on earth does she know what Ryuk is.
"Yo!" he greeted with a smile as the shingami waved.
"Nice to meet you, Ryuk" Mia said back with a equal smile of respect.
"How did you know he's a shingami?" Light questioned, suspiciously as he look between Ryuk and Mia.
