"Yes, my older sister Hall. She's saying the police can't explain how this is happening. If it is just natural causes, or someone is doing this" Mia tells him.
Which caused Light to become interested, "Is she a reporter?" he cautiously asked.
"No, she's a detective" Mia stated, which caught him to freeze.

"That's the reason why we moved here. My older sister is investigated the recent unexplained deaths that are happening at the moment" Mia explained.

"But they're drying of natural attacks, heart attack it might be a outbreak of a virus or something" Light suggest to her.
"It isn't a virus, Light. The only people that are drying right now are criminals" Mia retort back.
"Me and other people wre already senses that there's something happening. We know there's someone out there passing righteous judgement" she continue to say, stating this.
"Oh?" said Ryuk.
"Human behind are like that. None of us wouldn't say it, Mia" Light tells her.
"What would you say, Mia? Do bad people to die? Your honest option outside of class" he asked, making Mia look down at her hands.
"If I was at school or with my sister, I would say it's wrong to kill people" Mia answered.
"That's what we bound to say. We are always tried to maintain appearances when we're in public. That's how we we are" Light stated.
"But in truth, I think bad people deserve it" Mia confessed, making him raised an eyebrow as he becomes interested.
"Before moving here and being just the two of us, we had parents. Father was a police officer while mom was a normal civilian. We were a loving family once, but that chance one day. A man broke into our home and killed my father in cold blood. My mom beg for her and us lives to be spare, but she was killed by his hands. In the end we escaped and found helped. He was arrested and bought forth in court, but he was found no guilty" Mia explained.
"Why was he let go then? Wasn't there evidences that he was the killer?" Light questioned.
"The entire case was corrupted from the start. False evidences, false witness, blackmail and brides. To make it that the man was innocence" Mia tells him.
"What about your testimonials? You and your sister?" Light pressed.
"They didn't believe us" Mia answered, before the girl continue.
"At the time of the incident, I was a child and my older sister was a teenage. They won't listen to even of us. They made Hall up as a liar. As for me, they blame my imagination on the death of my parents. And that I don't know anything" Mia tells him.
"In the end, we got separated. As my older sister was sent away and I was send to an orphanage. We didn't have any other family members than to each other. But we found each other years later, and Hall decided for herself to be my legal guardian. I have no idea what happen to my older sister during that time we were separated. But as me, I was pass to pass to different foster homes. I could never found a place, to call home" said Mia.
"I'm sorry that this has happened to you" said Light in sadness as he has his hand on her arm, rubbing it.
"It's alright, Light. It wasn't your fault" Mia tells him back.
