Door Open

"I'm home!" Light called as he enter the foyer, closing the door behind him.
Sitting down on the steps, taking off his shoes as his mom appeared.

"Welcome home" Sachiko greeted with a smile as he continue to remove the shoes.
"What a nice suprise. I wasn't expecting you home so early" she said.

"Yeah. Hi, Mom" Light said back as he gets up, straighting himself up.

"It's because..." he started to say as Light went and turns to look at the older woman.

"Oh..."

"...the result of the national entrance mock exams" Light stated in realisation and went to open his bag.
"I've been waiting all day" said Sachiko as her son got out the paper from within.

"Here" said Light as he handed her the paper.

The woman accepted them, taken a closer look at the results.

"Goodness!"

"No.1 again!" said Sachiko exclaimed as he went past her, heading over to the stairs.
"...These are the highest scores you've had" she stated proudly, so proud of her son right now.
"Yeah, I guess" he reply, shrugging his shoulders.
"Anyway, I'm going to study in my rooms..." Light started to tell her as he turned.
"...so please don't interrupt me, ok?" he requested as Light was heading up the stairs.

"As you wish"

*Upper Floor:Bedroom*
Door Open

He was about to enter inside, "Oh, Light"

Causing him to stop as he had his hand on the open door, "Yeah?" he replied.

"Do you want anything at all, dear? You can ask for whatever you like?"

"No, I'm fine, Mom. Thanks, though" Light answered.

Light entered inside, door close..click!
Leaning against the door, "Don't worry, mom..." he started to think.
"...I've already got what I want" Light continue to say with a smile on his face.
Pushing off the door as he turn and went over to the desk.

Light placed his bag down onto the desk, and opened it.
He put his hand in...and take out the...DEATH NOTE
Placing the notebook down gently on the desk, before he sat down on the chair, in front of the piece of furniture.
Once he sat down, Light went and opened the notebook up.

As he starts flipping through the many pages of the Death Note, showing tons and tons of names written on them.

Then...

"You've taken quite a liking to it..."

Which caused Light to instantly turn around, to see...
