Christmas Plotlines and AUs

#1. Mara works at a Christmas store, just as a seasonal employee. She doesn't like Christmas and that was an understatement, but work is work. You come in to the shop one day and strike up a conversation with the not so jolly redhead and by the end of it, you are determined to convert the woman to Christmas and the holiday spirit.

#2. The redhead is the hostess at a bed and breakfast inn in the small fishing town of Christmas Valley, Maine. Usually, she's booked with couples and families during the winter months, but you seem to be all alone and so Mara makes it a point to make your holidays extra special.

#3. Mara always got a little bit depressed when Christmas came around and this time was especially hard because she had lost her best friend, Axel the Belgian Malinois. Her dog had gotten old and passed not too long before Christmas, so you came up with the brilliant idea to get her another puppy.

#4. Family was something that was hard to come by for Mara. She had her brother, but he was often not the person she wanted to be around. So she'd invited you over for Christmas, to enjoy the holiday together. When you got to the apartment, the smell of warm cookies and hot chocolate filled the air. Mara had definitely been busy.
