PULL THE TRIGGER

⚠️ WARNING: MATURE THEMES SUCH AS SUICIDE AND SELF HARM ARE DISCUSSED ⚠️

Mara had always been a little... Different from other people. She grew lonely much too fast and never grew attachments to the people around her. The redhead had been looking out for herself since she was a child, not having someone in her corner to do that for her, to cheer her on when things got rough, to keep her going when all she wanted to do was stop.

Stop. Wait. And pull the trigger.

But Mara was a coward, too scared to do what needed to be done so instead she pulled the trigger on other human lives, lives that had real value, lives that were affecting other lives in a spider's web of interactions. Lives that were valued much higher than her own. These lives, they weren't just money in the bag, they were souls she was putting into an early grave without so much as thinking of the consequences of her actions.

Every scar makes up for her disregard for human lives though, the scars running across her legs that no one likes to discuss. The ones across her thighs that are the reason she no longer wears shorts that are too short. They make up for her unjust treatment of her fellow man. But life has never made payment easy. A life must have a life and Mara had cheated Death out of hers for far too long.

Those reasons were why she'd ended up on the Brooklyn bridge, gun in hand and prepared to do whatever came first to her mind. Either way, she'd fall into the waters. But, like it has been stated before, Mara was a coward and instead threw the gun into the river below, wrapping her arms around herself when it was all finished. Death could keep coming for her soul, but Mara wouldn't give it up easily.

Little did she know you'd watched her throw the gun into the river.
