RANDOM PLOTLINES
                                                              

1. Mara's a waitress at a bar and you're a soldier getting shipped out tomorrow to your first army camp in California. She flashes a pretty smile and you talk for a while down by the pier once she gets off shift. The question comes up who you'll write the most letters to and you have to tell Mara that there's no one left to write them to. In return you ask to write letters to her.

2. Lindsey, a friend of Mara's, had dragged her to a party. Mara doesn't really like parties and so stands in the corner awkwardly until you approach her and start to make conversation. She goes on and on about how boring the party is and you just smile until her friend arrives and introduces you as the host. Mara blushes and goes to make a very quick apology, she had no idea she was speaking with the host of all people.

3. She was sitting in the bed of a truck with a box full of kittens outside of the grocery store, trying her best to get rid of them. But when Mara was dressed in ratty jeans and and tattered jacket, not many people wanted to approach her until you did, offering to take one of the kittens off her hands. Weeks later, you see Mara at the vet, where she's getting her cat spayed. Small talk ends in the offer of coffee or drinks.

4. Mara was sitting across from you in the train car, you were the only two in the car at the moment and both on a long trek across the country. The silence is too much for the more than thirteen hour trip, so you've decided to make polite conversation, which seems to brighten the redhead's grim expression and make her smile at the kindness of a stranger. Awkwardness ensues when you sit beside one another and Mara accidently falls asleep on you.
