→Mara and Vega don't see each other often, but when they do, it's like they were never apart in the first place.
→Sometimes Mara thinks Vega likes her cats more than they like her, but that's okay. At least she has company.
→There's days that Mara will call Vega just to hear their voice. It's nice not to have someone yelling at her all the time.
→Vega is the one person that doesn't see Mara as an imminent threat and is the only person that Mara is able to trust.

It was one of those nights. Mara was drunk, stumbling through the streets of New York without a clue as to where she was going or what she was doing. She made her way into Central Park without much trouble though, looking around her like someone was out to get her. And maybe someone was, she was a highly wanted assassin after all. She walked until she tripped over someone laying on the grass looking up at the sky and fell on her face, making her scream in both fright and pain.

About to yell at whoever was laying there, she caught sight of their face and immediately paused.

"Vega?"
