Junko: Jesus christ, it's been 4 whole years since we last did this battle! Four whole years... more than enough time for the world to fall apart completely...

Ann: Tohka Yatogami, the Princess of Date-A-Live.

Kokonoe: And-

Neptune: Neptune! The main protagonist of Neptunia!

Junko: Will Tohka be strong enough to beat her this time? Or will she crumble in despair?

Kokonoe: The stage is set and the combatants are ready.

Junko: It's time for a Death Battle!

At a city fair, Tohka was walking with sparkles in her eyes as she grabbed as much food as possible. 

Tohka: Look at it all! I'll take as much as possible then Shido and I can stuff our faces together!

Meanwhile, Neptune was walking on the other side of the fair looking around for pudding.

Neptune: Pudding... Pudding... where are you my sweet snack?

They both got to the center and noticed the same booth. The sign said free snacks as it had nothing more that a single thing of pudding.

Tohka/Neptune: (The last pudding!)

They both walked up to the booth and grabbed it at the same time. They then looked at each other.

Tohka: Excuse me, but I think there's been a mistake. You see, I was here first so this pudding belongs to me.

Neptune: Sorry lady, but I'm the one who has higher authority here and I'll use it now. So if you don't mind letting go and giving this pudding to someone who actually deserves it.

The two girls tugged at the pudding, squeezing it until it burst open and got everywhere, including on the two of them.

Neptune: Aw man, now I'm all sticky.

Tohka: Grr... that's it!

Tohka stomped her foot, causing a huge shockwave around her, knocking everything back except Neptune.

Tohka: Sandalphon!

She summoned her sword and dashed at Neptune before swinging it.

Neptune summoned a sword of her own and blocked her attack. It caused a massive crater under them as Neptune was knocked back hard. 

Neptune: And now we begin! Bring it on!

Tohka was in her Astral Dress as she swung her sword, unleashing three giant shockwaves at her. Neptune dodged two of them before swinging her sword at the other, quickly dispersing it before dashing at Tohka. She swung her sword and Tohka did the same as they clashed, creating a shockwave around them. This time they both got knocked back as Neptune raised her hand and summoned four Inafune Swords and launched them at her. They blew up on contact as Tohka used a shield to block them. Neptune then turned into a jet and flew into the air, firing several missiles at her that Tohka's shield blocked once more. 

Tohka: It's pointless.

She swatted her hand and made a giant shockwave of spiritual energy. Neptune turned back to normal, falling past the shockwave and pulling out a sword that shined a bright light, blinding Tohka temporarily so that Tohka could hit her with a sword made of Knee socks which caused her to stumble back.

Tohka: (Did she just kick me? With a sword?)

Neptune dashed at her and summoned a wooden katana, striking at her three times with the last one sending her flying into the air. Neptune then jumped above her and went for a slash that sent Tohka crashing down. Neptune went to fall down at her and go for another swing but Tohka quickly recovered. She grabbed Neptune by the jacket and slammed her to the ground, creating a massive crater before throwing Neptune into several buildings. Tohka then stomped her foot again summoning her throne as Neptune recovered on top of a building.

Neptune: Ow... hm? Uh oh...

She noticed Tohka's throne as Tohka turned around and sliced it in half. The throne crumbled and the pieces of it connected to the sword, causing it to grow much larger in size.

Tohka: Halvanhelev! 

With just a single swing, Tohka created a massive shockwave that destroyed all the buildings in front of her. Neptune jumped off the one she was on before as she summoned a massive, 32-bit sword. They both swung their giant blades and clashed, creating a massive explosion that caused everything to fall to ruin. The pieces of Halvanhelev scattered as Tohka was on her hands and knees. Neptune was on her back but she managed to sit up pretty quickly.

Neptune: Ow again... maybe that was a tad bit overboard...

Tohka: ... ... ...

Neptune: Welp, let's get this Death Battle over with. I have some delicious pudding to eat at home!

Tohka: I was going to eat that food with Shido...

Neptune: Hm?

Tohka: ... All that yummy food... and it's gone now... THANKS TO YOU!!!

Suddenly, the skies began to darken as alarms began to ring. 

Neptune: Whoa there lady! You may need to calm down a-

Before she could finish that sentence, Tohka unleashed a gigantic black explosion around them that destroyed everything around them. Once it was done, the area was destroyed even further and Tohka was now in her inverse form... Tenka was now in control. Neptune dug out of all the rubble and saw Tenka as she smiled and waved.

Neptune: Oh hey, I know you! Well, you probably don't remember me because this is a different battle but still!

Tenka looked in Neptune's direction and gave her a look of belittlement

Tenka: What an annoying little brat. I'll be making quick work of you. 

She swatted her arm and made a giant shockwave that knocked Neptune back. Neptune quickly slid to her feet only for Tenka to appear right in front of her. She swung her sword and Neptune went to block it but Tenka simply sliced Neptune's blade in half.

Neptune: Huh... well that's convenient. 

Neptune summoned a stronger sword and they both swung their blades, clashing as Neptune was pushed back again. She charged forward before slashing a V shape into Tenka which exploded, causing Tenka to fall to one knee.

Tenka: Geh!

Neptune: Hehe!

Tenka: GRRR!!!

They both turned around at the same time, swinging their swords and clashing, creating a shockwave around them as Tenka raised her sword. Neptune went to block her attack and Tenka started going for several heavy strikes. Neptune then summoned Atranger, who quickly flew at Tenka, grabbed her, dragged her to the ground, and threw her into a bunch of rubble. Tenka recovered quickly as she looked at Neptune getting to the Atrangers side.

Tenka: What is that? Some type of toy? Hmph, no matter... I'll destroy you both!

Atranger flew at Tenka again and went for a punch but Tenka blocked up and pushed the robot away. Neptune then ran up to Tenka before slashing her into the air. She then went for a final slash out of the air as Atranger flew above Tenka and punched her into the ground hard. Atranger then sent its fist flying down on her like missiles as they blew up, but Tenka had made a shield to protect herself.

Tenka: Enough!

She summoned a throne of her own and sliced it in half. The throne went around her sword and became massive and much more powerful.

Tenka: Paverschlev!

Neptune: ... Another oversized blade... huh... of course...

Tenka swung it and unleashed a massive blast of energy that completely destroyed Atranger and sent Neptune flying. As soon as Neptune landed on her feet, she took her sword and slashed at Tenka twice, trapping her in a large box.

Tenka: What?!

Neptune went for a final clash, causing the box to explode, but turned to see Tenka was still on her feet.

Neptune: Man, you just don't give up.

She then summoned a giant ship with Inafune's face on it. The ship blasted three giant lasers through its eyes and mouth as Tenka swung her sword in the air, unleashing another giant burst of energy that went through the blast and destroyed the ship. Neptune then launched herself at Tenka again as purple energy surrounded her. Tenka was about to swing her sword but Neptune had already struck her and sent her flying into the air. She then jumped up at Tenka and struck her with rapid strikes in every direction. She landed on her feet and threw her sword into the air before jumping up and catching it, striking her one last time before she blew up into a column of light.

Neptune: Heh, I didn't even need to use my HDD Forms. Alright guys, let's hit the KO button and call it a day!

Tohka: Not yet!

Neptune turned around as the light quickly dispersed. Tohka was back in control as she was in her Full Form.

Neptune: Woah! You definitely grew stronger! But I can't just let you show me off like that! 

Neptune raised her hand and shined brightly. She grew in size and appearance as she had turned into Purple Heart.

Purple Heart: Now then...

She suddenly appeared behind Tohka.

Purple Heart: Let's get started.

They both turned and swung their blades again, clashing and jumping back before flying into the air. They stopped and flew at each other clashing again. Tohka summoned another sword and went for a swing but Purple Heart dodged it before going for a swing of her own. Tohka swung her other sword and their clash knocked Purple Heart back. They then flew back at each other again, going for rapid strikes at high speeds across the entire wasteland. Then in the middle of the destroyed city, the two of them burst at each other as purple beams of light. Tohka went for a thrust with one of her blades but Purple Heart went for an upward slash that knocked the sword out of Tohka's hand. Tohka then swung her other sword as Purple Heart blocked it but was still sent crashing back to the ground. Tohka took her sword and threw it at Purple Heart so fast it blew up in her face. As the debris settled, Tohka summoned both blades back into her hands. She then looked around as the area around her started to change.

Tohka: What?

She looked down at the rubble that had now been turned into a floating platform. The debris was swatted away as Purple Heart turned to NEXT Heart.

Tohka: Another transformation?

NEXT Purple: It's over Tohka. So long as you are in the Sharing Field, you are in my realm. 

Tohka: We'll just see about-

Just then, NEXT Purple appeared right in front of her and swung her sword. Tohka was quick to block it as she was sent flying into an asteroid. 

Tohka: Gah! That's it!

She held out both hands and both her blades had fragments of her throne surrounding them. She was now holding two Halvanhelev's. She swung them both, unleashing a gigantic shockwave of magic energy. NEXT Purple swung her sword and clashed with it before it blew up in her face, sending her flying. Tohka flew after her and swung one of her swords, but NEXT Purple quickly caught herself and with a swing of her blade, destroyed the first Halvanhelev. She flew at Tohka who swung the other, but NEXT Purple swung her sword again and destroyed that one as well before kicking Tohka and sending her crashing into a floating platform.

Tohka: Dammit! (She's growing stronger. But that's not all... something about this place... could it be?)

She looked up at NEXT Purple and flew at her. NEXT Purple swung her blade as Tohka summoned two blades of her own. They clashed and Tohka went flying again. NEXT Heart then charged up the boosters on her back as everything around her began to glow. She held her blade tightly.

NEXT Purple: Time to finish this.

She charged at Tohka at an extreme speed before slashing at her with a strike so powerful it caused a massive explosion of energy behind her. She returned to base form and landed on a platform exhausted.

Neptune: Phew... that as a match... now- hm? Wait a minute... why hasn't the Sharing Field disappeared yet?

Tohka: Because it's no longer the Sharing Field.

Suddenly, a tree grew behind her as the platforms all turned into giant floating chessboards. The area around her brightened as well as Neptune looked up to see Tohka in her DEA Form.

Neptune: Huh?!

Tohka: I noticed you were using some sort of energy source within there to make yourself more powerful... so I brought you here, so last minute I went into this form, and brought you here... where that energy doesn't exist. Now then... 

Tohka summoned both her Sansalphon blade and Tenka's Nehemah Blade.

Tohka: Let's end this!

Neptune: Huh... so you got rid of all the Share's... but it's gonna take more than that to get rid of me.

Neptune reverted back to Purple Heart.

Purple Heart: Bring it on!

She flew up at Tohka, who swung one of her swords and unleashed a massive burst of wind. Purple Heart sliced it in half and went for a swing at Tohka who used her swords to block her strike before pushing Purple Heart back hard. Purple Heart caught herself and Tohka unleashed a giant shockwave of flames at her. Tohka went to block them as she crashed into another platform. Purple Heart stood up and was about to fly at her again, but her feet were frozen. She quickly dealt with the situation by cutting the entire platform in half. Tohka then fused both her swords into one and dashed at her, going for a swing. Purple Heart saw this and was about to go for a swing of her own, but she found herself unable to move.

Purple Heart: What?

Tohka appeared behind her.

Tohka: This is my world... and here... I am god.

She finished her sentence and not only did Purple Heart's blade get cut in half. but her arms, legs, and head were all severed into pieces as her body dispersed into a Share Crystal. Tohka took the crystal into her hand and crushed it. She then restored the world and the city, landing back in the city fair as if nothing had happened before reverting to her base form.

Tohka: Now then... let's look for food to eat with Shido!

Neptune was on her hands and knees defeated.

Neptune: My undefeated streak... it's gone...

Junko: Holy hell! I knew this would be different from season 1, but if I knew you would steal the show, I would have saved it for the Season Finale! But I'm the type who likes to defy people's expectations instead of embracing them.

Neptune: Still what happened?! She wasn't that strong back then!

Kokonoe: Well it's true that you were on a whole other level at the time... but since that time Tohka had only grown more powerful.

Ann: Right. In her base form, Neptune was still faster and stronger than Tohka and even Tenka. But Tohka's Full Form evened things out a bit, and her DEA Form made it so that gap was no longer an issue.

Kokonoe: Right. Tohka may not be smart when it comes to an everyday living, but she's at her brightest when it comes to combat. Once she realized Neptune was powered by Share Crystals, it wouldn't take long for her to come up with a way to get rid of it, and her DEA Form helped her do just that.

Junko: Well that's obvious. Not only did her Astral Dress give her protection over almost anything Neptune's NEXT Purple form could throw at her, but her ability to make an artificial world all to herself gave her a huge advantage! Since she controls everything within that world, she can easily cut Neptune from her access to Share Crystals. And even with Neptune's resistance to reality warping, it's not impossible to cut her off of her supply. It's happened before after all.

Kokonoe: This doesn't mean Neptune was entirely helpless. Her years of experience meant she could hold her own against opponents like Tohka's DEA Form. But she's never done so without a steady supply of Share Crystals... and when she had been cut from her supply, she's never shown to face someone on Tohka's level.

Junko: In the end, there were situations where Neptune could have won... but Tohka finally got a rematch and took back her W.

Kokonoe: The winner... is Tohka.
