Mukuro: Tanjiro Kamado was a kind-hearted young man who has taken it upon himself to support his family, finding happiness despite their lives hardened by his father's death. But that brief warmth is shattered one day when Tanjiro finds his family slaughtered. The only survivor was his little sister, Nezuko, who has been turned into a demon. However, she still showed some signs of human emotions. This fact convinced him Nezuko was different from other demons and he hoped she could become human again. Thus, he embarked on a journey to become a Demon Slayer to find a cure for his sister and fight demons to prevent others from suffering the same fate as him.

Junko: You guys may be asking what my sister is doing here. I decided to switch things up for this Death Battle. And since this battle is based around sibling vs sibling, I told Ann and Kokonoe to take a break so I could bring in Mukuro.

Mukuro: Junko... I don't think anyone asked...

Junko: Oh, good point. Well, back on Tanjiro, he's pretty strong.

Junko: He can cut through boulders and trees! He can shred demons and nearly managed to cut off Rui's neck, whose body is as hard as steel! He can hold his own against upper moon demons, who are strong enough to level mountains and destroy pillars!

Mukuro: He's fast enough to jump several feet in the air, almost like he were flying. He can react to all of Muzan's whips, something which not even the Demon Slayers can do. And most of those guys can move at lightning speeds.

Junko: And he's super durable! He can take hits from Susamaru, who is strong enough to rip a house apart with her toy balls! He's been crushed, stabbed, and even poisoned but still has the willpower to keep going! But nothing's as hardheaded as his head!

Junko: His head's so hard it can be used to chop wood or as a cutting board! He even managed to daze much stronger opponents like Pillars and Demon Moons! He even gave Inosuke a concussion, whose headbutt can momentarily lift an overturn train!

Mukuro: What's very noteworthy is his sense of smell, which is so great that it lets him find demons and hidden traps, sense one's emotions, and even predict the movement of others. He can also pick up on the "Line of Interval"... essentially the slight pause in an opponent's movements. By following this line, Tanjirou can land a killing or critical blow.

Junko: He can also use breathing techniques to enhance his physical capabilities and heal minor injuries or even delay poisons!

Mukuro: For protection, he's got a Demon Slayer uniform.

Mukuro: Specially made clothing for demon hunters. Its fabric is resistant to fire and water.

Junko: It's so tough weaker demons can't even pierce it!

Mukuro: And his main weapon is his Nichirin Blade.

Mukuro: These blades were specifically made to deal with demons as they constantly absorb sunlight. They're forged from Scarlet Crimson Iron Sand and Scarlet Crimson Ore. They're also known for changing color depending on the user. Tanjiro's is black of course.

Junko: And with his concentrated breathing, he can use different types of techniques like the Water Breathing technique!

Mukuro: A technique taught to him by Urokodaki Sakonji, a former Water Pillar. It's an extremely flexible and adaptive sword style that allows Tanjiro to strike with the force to destroy rocks, yet be able to flow everywhere.

Junko: There are ten forms to this. The first form is a powerful strike, the second is a 360 vertical slash, the third is where he swings his sword in a manner similar to the waves on the surface of water, the fourth is a horizontal slash that mimics the movements of a wave, and the fifth is a special sword strike that kills the target without pain... though that one can only be used if his opponent wants to die.

Mukuro: The sixth form he spins around at high speed, creating a "whirlpool" that destroys everything in its path. The seventh style is an extremely fast stab while the eighth is a vertical strike. The ninth form minimizes the landing time and surface needed to land, allowing Tanjiro to move without limits. Ideal for fighting in an environment with little to no footholds. And finally, the tenth style is a continuous attack that utilizes rotations of the body. With each rotation, the final blow becomes stronger.

Junko: And Water Breathing isn't the only style Tanjiro has! He's also got Sun Breathing!

Mukuro: This form of breathing was passed down to him by his father, as it was the first style of Breathing Techniques ever created. And unlike Water Breathing, there are 13 forms of it.

Junko: The first one is fittingly called Dance as it's a single concentrated slash. He has an upgraded version called Flash Dance which is copied from Zenetsu's Thunderclap Flash. Though it's slower by comparison.

Mukuro: After that is the Clear Blue Sky technique, which is another vertical 360 slash. 

Junko: And Raging Sun, where he unleashes two horizontal slashes that defend him from attacks from the front or side.

Mukuro: The fourth is Fake Rainbow, which he uses to evade techniques using high-speed twists and rotations. It works most effectively on enemies with good vision, as they will attack an afterimage of him and not his actual body. He can use this quickly with the fifth form, Flame Chariot, where he leaps up and attacks his foes while they're distracted.

Junko: The sixth is Burning Bones, Summer Sun! A circular slash that defends from imminent frontal attacks!

Mukuro: Sunflower Thrust is a... well... thrust attack with his sharp blade. With Solar Heat Haze, Tanjiro charges toward his opponent with a flame-cladded blade to slash them. Then there's Setting Sun Transformation where he flips into the air to deliver an upended flaming sword slash. After that is the Beneficent Radiance, where he spirals into the air to deliver a powerful slash to those caught in it.

Junko: Then there's the Dragon Sun Halo Head Dance! Resembling a dragon, the user moves in circles to avoid enemy attacks and slashes then multiple times at the target! We'll get back to this one later. The 12th form is Flame Dance, which is a two-combo strike which starts with a vertical slash and then a horizontal one right after.

Mukuro: And finally, the 13th form is when Tanjiro continuously performs all twelve forms of the breathing style in repetitive succession to increase the accuracy and agility of his movements. This form was created solely to kill Muzan since the repetition of all twelve forms aims to destroy Muzan's twelve vital organs that move freely inside his body thanks to his shape-shifting ability.

Junko: Yep! That's seven hearts and five brains baby! Oh, and using Fire Breathing also lets him activate that hideous mark on his head. That mark is the Demon Slayer mark and unlocking it makes him stronger, faster and allows him access to the Transparent World!

Mukuro: With this, Tanjiro can completely erase his presence from the battlefield. It slows down his perspective of time as he can see the inside of others and predict their next move before they make it.

Junko: Of course, he's still a team player. So there's no way he's going out without his sister, Nezuko.

Mukuro: Right. Despite her childlike figure, Nezuko is incredibly strong.

Mukuro: She can headbutt Tanjiro so hard she bleeds. She can also dig holes, bust through doors, slice the face of a demon, or even hack apart a demon's flesh with her claws. If she wanted, She could even kick a demon's head off with a kick.

Junko: Yeah, Nezuko's whole thing when it comes to fighting is pretty much kicking. These kicks are strong enough to injure even the strongest of Demons... and even higher ranked ones admit her strength is really impressive. I mean, the girl can kick a ball so hard it cracks a nearby stone fence!

Mukuro: This same ball was strong enough to destroy buildings and even tore off her leg moments prior... so there could be some sort of adaptation going on.

Junko: It wouldn't be too out of the question. After all, Nezuko doesn't replenish her energy by eating humans like other demons. Instead, she does so by sleeping.

Mukuro: Right. Well, she's also really fast.

Mukuro: She should be faster than Tanjiro, who can move faster than lightning. She's already fast enough to overwhelm almost every demon she's come across. She'seven agile enough to do a front flip over a demon emerging from the ground.

Junko: And she's really durable!

Junko: She's been stabbed, electrocuted, cut to pieces, and still gt back up to keep fighting! She can still resist the urge to eat humans after getting stabbed repeatedly and is unphased when she loses a limb! She can take a full-on barrage of demon webs that can cut through trees! And she even kept running after jumping off a massive cliff!

Mukuro: She's mostly able to recover thanks to her healing factor. Though even by Demon standards, her healing is greater than even that of top demons. She once got slashed in the face by a demon and healed in a short time span. And she can heal after having her limbs sliced off, being cut in half, and slammed through a wall, in the span of a few taunting remarks.

Junko: Yeah, she still has everything other demons have. But what she doesn't have is a weakness to the sun. Meaning it will take a lot to actually put her down.

Mukuro: She also has the Demon Blood Art... Exploding Blood.

Mukuro: This allows her to ignite pink flames from thin air and cause her blood to explode. These pink flames only harm Demons and nullify their powers.

Junko: They can also give Tanjiro's sword a crimson color and increase the speed of that Dragon Sun Halo Head Dance I mentioned earlier.

Mukuro: Not only can she cause her blood to explode, but she can even freely manipulate her own blood.

Mukuro: She can use this ability to move her severed limbs around and reattach them instantly. If she wanted to, she could even harden her blood.

Junko: Which somehow defies physics... but that's something Kokonoe would complain about. Which is why she's not here.

Mukuro: But she grows even stronger in her Awakened Form.

Junko: Twitter's worst nightmare! In this form, Nezuko's flames burn brighter, her strength and speed are increased even greater, and she looks way more mature than she actually is! She grows a cute little horn and vine tattoos on her... well... new body! With this much power, can anything stop her?!

Mukuro: Well... yes.

Mukuro: Nezuko is more of a team player, as she can get overwhelmed by opponents much stronger than herself. She can also possibly be killed if her entire body gets ripped into a thousand pieces. She also struggles to keep her awakened form under control as she can often go berserk.

Junko: Same goes for Tanjiro. He can only use the Sun Dancing technique while holding his breath, and can only do so for so long. His blade can be broken if his resolve falters and the Line of Interval can be broken if he's too slow.

Mukuro: So they're basically a package deal... but as long as they work together I'm sure they can reach their goals together.

Narrator: Human beings have limits. But demons? What about Nezuko? Her anger burns just as hot, but it has no limitations! Her anger is infinite! It drives her until she wipes her enemy from the face of the earth.

Tanjiro: I swear your big brother will protect you, no matter what!
