Neptune: Alright class, who is the most powerful superhero outside of Marvel and DC?! If your answer isn't Spawn, you're dead wrong!

Kokonoe: But before he was Spawn, he was Albert Francis Simmons, a highly trained assassin and one of the best.  He was a well-known soldier who was at his most successful point when he saved the President from an attempted assassination. Eventually, he would be promoted to a higher level of the C.I.A. that dealt with the things the Government had kept a secret from the general public. However, Al soon realized that the Government wasn't always right and started questioning if they were truly correct in their actions. This, of course, caught the attention of people in high power.

Junko: More specifically, Jason Wynn who was disappointed that his little pawn was learning so much so fast. Upset with his little business buddy, he terminated his contract... and his life.

Kokonoe: Al Summons died that day and for the crimes of killing innocent lives as a C.I.A, he was sent straight to Hell.

Neptune: Wait, isn't he a Superhero? I thought those were the good guys.

Junko: He was also a pretty big dick before he died but yeah.

Kokonoe: Well doing his time in Hell, Al would eventually sell his soul to a Demonic Being known as "Malebolgia" to get to see his wife Wanda Fitzgerald once again.

Junko: And so he did as was asked! He brought good ol' Simmons back to life... five years into the future! Jesus Christ! By that point his wife would've already moved on, marrying his best friend and even having a kid!

Kokonoe: That's... actually exactly what happened. He came back as some kind of strange Hellspawn with no memory of what he had done. Once his memories started coming back to him, he sought out his wife only to find out she was happily married to his other best friend, Terry. They even had a child named Cyan.

Junko: Damn, what a dick. 

Ann: It was right after this that his demonic guide the Violator who appeared as a clown showed up. He revealed to Al the purpose of his life and fought him but had his battle interrupted by Malebolgia.

Neptune: The Violator huh... now that's a name that likely didn't age well.

Kokonoe: Now knowing his true purpose, Al dedicated his life to surviving and fighting against the forces of both Heaven and Hell. He would become...  Spawn.

Junko: And with his new demonic powers he became super strong!

Junko: Average demons are strong enough to shrug off Nuclear Blast, and Spawn can blow holes in them with ease!

Ann: He's capable of destroying steel and concrete with nothing but his bare hands! He's lifted the foot of Urizon, who towers over most skyscrapers! He's even slapped away Mammon, one of the strongest Demons around, rivaling Satan himself! He can toss grown men like it's nothing, rip apart a nuclear-proof android, and throw steel beams around like nothing!

Kokonoe: Think that's impressive? How about the time he held something as heavy and hot as a star. That's over 4 billion tons and 215,000 degrees Ferinhight.

Junko: Yeah, call Spawn anything... it's definitely durable.

Junko: He's survived punches from Overkill, who can rip apart a futuristic tank with ease! He's also tanked punches from the Savage Dragon who can bench press multiple skyscrapers!

Kokonoe: He's withstood electric bolts from Thor's sister, survived 600,000 volts of electricity, walked off a 30,000 fall from the sky, lived through atmospheric re-entry, survived an explosion that can be seen from 13 miles away, and even walked through a pool of lava and Hellfire like it's nothing.

Ann: He's also really fast.

Ann: He can move fast enough to cause the very air to set fire from friction! 

Junko: He's way faster than the eye can see! Even being able to break the sound barrier! He can scale a skyscraper in a single sentence, fly over a mile like a speeding blur, jump through a city in seconds, and can even teleport faster than light! What the hell?!

Ann: He's trained and mastered every type of gun imaginable! He's even deadlier when using his magical abilities to summon a vast array of guns!

Kokonoe: He's very skilled at Martial Arts he's used before becoming a Hellspawn. Though as a Hellspawn, he typically uses basic but powerful punches and kicks.

Ann: He's also a sorcerer! He can use various magic with ease and he's able to create and use different kinds of energy manipulation and sorcery with extreme proficiency!

Junko: Most of this is thanks to his symbiotic cape, K7-Leetha!

Kokone: Daughter of the 7th house of K, Leetha is a sentient and constantly evolving neural Hell-Born parasite. This suit feeds off the sins of others and Necroplasm, a will-controlled magical substance of which Hell itself is composed. 

Junko: It functions on Spawn's thoughts and will but it can and will move on its own. Whether he's protecting Al by blocking lasers with his cape or protecting him from any dangers close by.

Kokonoe: Right. The suit can sense danger thanks to precognition.

Kokonoe: With this, it can instinctively ready itself for battle. It can sense the presence of a being of equal or higher power and automatically shield Spawn from an incoming explosion.

Junko: let's not forget he can use it to shapeshift!

Junko: He can mold into various things. Transforming or lengthening his claws into spear-like appendages, turning into a different person entirely, or even turning into a colony of bats to escape. 

Kokonoe: He can shoot these bats to skin someone alive and if he wants a faster way of transportation, he could turn into a mass of photons, which is another way for him to reach light speeds.

Ann: He can summon anything from guns to guns to even more guns! He can also summon chains, a battle-ax, and even a sword!

Junko: Or he can summon the souls of the dead!

Kokonoe: Right, thanks to his suit he can control his soul in many different ways. Since Leetha can feed on souls, this lets Spawn remove the souls of others and summon them as Hellspawn under his command. 

Junko: And be careful because he's got 6,000 Hellspawn he can summon at will! Yet somehow this isn't as badass as his ability to summon goddamn animals!

Kokonoe: More like Spawn can communicate with and command animals. If he wanted, he could call upon the Black Dispersal, which is basically a group of demon-like animals with a surprising amount of power. They're even able to overwhelm a Hellspawn hunter.

Neptune: Part of that can be because he has complete control of mother earth! Seriously, the guy can create tidal waves and earthquakes! If he wanted, he could create an entire forest!

Junko: This ability was given to him by the Emerald Parliament, who also gave him the ability to absorb the sins and negative emotions of everyone in New York! He can transfer and brand sins onto vampires and even make one's own sins consume them!

Kokonoe: Spawn can also shoot energy blasts.

Kokonoe: Typically made of Necroplasm, Spawn's blasts can consume an entire city, wipe out vampires to the molecular level, nuke the Violator, and even knock down a 100 Meter high Urizen.

Junko: He can absorb all types of energy, even the entire energy supply of Hell! Or he can just use his power to blast open the Gates of Heaven!

Ann: He can also use Hellfire, burning through hordes of men and incinerating demons. If he wanted, he could use Hellfire to simply blow his opponent's brains out. Ew... I'm starting to sound like Junko.

Junko: Better embrace it! Oh yeah, Spawn has a healing factor.

Junko: He's been stabbed, incinerated, torn in half, etcetera! Nothing's killin' the guy so log as his healing factor kicks in!

Kokonoe: He can also heal others and bestow allies with powers. This also grants him the ability to take away a Hellspawn or Demons powers.

Junko: Oh, and he can tamper with his opponent's minds!

Junko: He can mess up one's head and read their mind! He can even show illusions so real it makes normal people commit suicide! Jesus Christ that's dark!

Kokonoe: He can turn intangible, move objects with his mind, or even manipulate his own dimensional plane.

Ann: He can readjust it too. He's made a blackhole to Hell and can even make a dimensional portal in his cape!

Neptune: By the way, if he's injured enough he can absorb one's life force.

Neptune: He often does it to the animals he summons and can also absorb the life of Nightcrawlers.

Junko: But if he really wanted to, he could manipulate everything around him by literally warping reality!

Junko: With this ability, he can readjust his environment to his liking! With just a small amount of Necroplasm, he can create an entire town! Or he can grow to such a height that others look like ants in comparison! Seriously, is there no stopping this guy?!

Kokonoe: Well yes but also no. Despite all his power, he does have very specific weaknesses.

Kokonoe: Certain dimensions can drain his power or simply leave him powerless. And since he's basically fueled by Necroplasm, using too much of it can kill him or at least weaken him to the point that his body can be torn apart if injured grievously.

Junko: Oh and Holy Weapons can also hurt him a lot... though the only way to actually kill the guy is if you can use that Holy Weapon and decapitate him! Because normal swords and guns ain't gonna do shit! He'd just heal from it like it were nothing!

Ann: Understandably, his past experiences of Death have left him a bit mentally broken... but there's a reason why he's a huge threat to both Heaven and Hell.

Junko: This guy's got many names! Merciful is definitely not one of them!

Spawn: Who made you God, little man? Not that gun. Not that uniform. Nothing. You wanna scare people, fine. I need a scarecrow. You're gonna be my personal message board. I want everyone to see what happens when they come here uninvited.
