Kokonoe: Ridley's history is fairly unknown, but it is safe to say he made his way up the Ranks of the designated military until he became the leader of the Space Pirates. One day, when conducting a Raid on the Star Colony K-2L, he met a little girl named Samus Aran, who he would have a large history with. Being the naive little girl she was, she went up to him and asked to Befriend him. Ridley promptly decided to kill her in return.

Junko: Hah! Take that brat! Oh, don't worry. She survived thanks to her mother getting in the way and dying instead. While this was happening, Samus' father went to save the day and died while doing so, leaving Samus an orphan and Ridley smiling at her despair.

Ann: Little did he know this event would make her his archenemy and eventually cost him his life... on several occasions. 

Junko: Yeah, no matter what Sammus did to him, he kept popping back up.

Kokonoe: Because Ridley is anything... but weak is not one of them.

Junko: Ridley is strong enough to restrain Samus with one hand, and she's already strong enough to toss bigger guys than him around! She had to stun him just to escape his grasp, further showing how freakishly strong he is!

Kokonoe: He can easily bust through a stone ceiling and rip through an entire ship. He can even tear apart metal made to withstand lava while being in an injured state.

Junko: Damn. But he's not just strong, he's fast too.

Kokonoe: He can fly circles around regular spacecraft and outpaced Samus' relativistic ship on numerous occasions.

Ann: He's already faster than Samus herself, who can move faster than light! He's capable of dodging missiles and even lasers!

Junko: He's plenty durable too!

Junko: He can easily survive in space, and a majority of Samus' arsenal doesn't even phase the guy!

Kokonoe: Missles, Super Missles, Charged Shots, and Power Bombs are her only weapons capable of hurting him.  Power Bombs completely burn away living cells, leaving nothing behind. Yet Ridley can take at least three of them. Meanwhile, a Super Missle to the mouth can only stun the guy.

Ann: He can use lava as a hiding place, unaffected by the intense heat. He also survived having a Metroid feed on him multiple times. Luckily he can eat the corpses of others in order to heal himself.

Kokonoe: Not only can Ridley fly, but he can breathe plasma as well.

Kokonoe: He's capable of breathing steady streams or various bolts of Plasma, a gaseous state of matter that is extremely hot. In Ridley's case, it can possibly reach 179999540.33 degrees Fahrenheit. His Plasma bolts have been calculated to move at light speeds and he can charge his blast for even more damage.

Ann: Even without charging, it's still powerful enough to shatter mountains. He also has his claws and tail for weapons.

Ann: His tail and claws are prehensile and have the strength to rip through metal. While he doesn't do it often, he'll use his jaw too if that's what gets the job done. They're also capable of getting past Samus' armor. The same girl who was unphased after a blast that destroyed an entire mountain!

Junko: He can also pick people up with his feet and drop them! Oh, and as a bonus to his abilities, he can camouflage himself.

Kokonoe: Ridley does in fact have a camouflage ability of some kind being able to materialize from the background in various fights. This was expanded upon in Other M where he could use this skill to actually make himself stronger and faster... somehow.

Junko: But despite all this, he's still just a mindless monster right? 

Kokonoe: Well... it's best not to underestimate his intelligence.

Kokonoe: Despite his appearance, Ridley has shown to be a natural leader of sorts and is considered rather intelligent, having modified his body with robotic enhancements and even once made a robotic replica of himself. He's greatly respected by the pirates and feared by the federation for his ruthless tactics, with only Samus being acknowledged to have beaten him.

Ann: And despite him seeming like a wild animal, he's still capable of speech and emotions as cruel as he may be.

Junko: He enjoys mocking and picking at her foe's mind, taking full advantage of any weakness he can find. He's a survivalist, able to survive the harshest of situations. And while he is disgusted by humans, he'll eat any human if that means he can survive. But he does have a short temper if he can't get into his opponent's head.

Ann: And that's when we get into his weaknesses.

Ann: Ridley can sometimes become a bit too bloodlusted. Once this happens, he becomes single-minded in his pursuit to kill.

Junko: And despite his intellect, he did accidentally create his own arch-enemy. But there's a reason that even she stands in fear of him. And despite what others say about him being too big for Smash Bros, he got in anyway. Ridley is definitely a force... to be reckoned with.

Ridley: Such a miserable and helpless little girl! Your existence is like a bad dream! I WILL ERASE YOU FROM THIS AND EVERY WORLD!
