Ann: Love is in the air every Valentine's Day. And what better way to celebrate than with the lovers of two legendary video game mascots!

Kokonoe: Princess Peach, the cake-baking lover to Mario.

Junko: And Amy Rose! The self-proclaimed lover of Sonic!

Kokonoe: The stage is set and the combatants are ready.

Junko: It's time for a Death Battle!

In a flower garden in the middle of a forest, Amy was looking for a good flower to give to Sonic.

Amy: Hmm... now where could one be... oh!

She saw the perfect rose in the middle of the garden. She quickly walked towards it to try and pick it up, but Princess Peach got to it first.

Amy: Huh? 

Peach: My what a beautiful rose. I should show it to Mario!

Amy: Grrrr... 

Amy pulled out her hammer and jumped up at Peach.

Amy: Take this!

Peach saw this and quickly blocked her attack with her umbrella. She pushed Amy back quickly and Amy slid on her feet. She went for a spindash and Peach swung her umbrella, knocking her into the air. Amy then used a Homing Attack and dashed back at her. Peach pulled a Toad out of her dress and used him as a shield, letting the Homing Attack scrape his face off.

Amy jumped back and Peach tossed the Toad to the side before pulling out a turnip and throwing it. Amy swung her hammer and knocked it to the side as they both jumped at each other, clashing their hips and knocking each other back. Peach was knocked back into a tree as a Tanooki Leaf fell from it. Amy landed on her feet and started spinning with her hammer.

Amy: Spinning Hammer Attack!

Peach jumped up and grabbed the leaf, turning to Tanooki Peach. She swung her tail and clashed with Amy's hammer, knocking it out of her hands. Peach jumped up and went for a downward swing with her tail, but Amy dodged it. Peach landed on her feet and went for another swing, but Amy dodged it and summoned another hammer before swinging it and knocking Peach off her feet. She swung the hammer and smashed Peach into the ground, undoing her transformation. She went to smash her with it again, but Peach rolled out the way to dodge it. The ground shook and Peach got back to her feet. Amy threw three presents as Peach threw a bomb and Bob-omb. Two of the presents bumped into the bombs and created a giant explosion that made a shockwave around it as the third present dropped in Peach's hands.

Peach: Hm? Oh!

Peach was happy as she opened it, only for a bomb to blow up in her face. 

Peach: Grrrr!!!

She became furious and burst into flames as everything around her was getting destroyed. Amy saw a Cyan Wisp and quickly grabbed it, turning into a laser and dashing at her. Peach went for a quick slap and they clashed, causing an explosion that destroyed the floor beneath them, causing them to fall into an underground cave. As they were falling, Peach saw a Boomerang Flower and grabbed it, turning into Boomerang Peach. She jumped onto a chunk of falling rubble before jumping into her shell, spinning and going to strike Amy. She swung her hammer and sent Peach flying upward. As soon as she did, Peach got out of her shell and threw a bunch of boomerangs. Amy got on a grant chunk of falling rubble and ran to dodge them all. She saw an Indigo Wisp and quickly grabbed it. She turned into a miniature planet and all the rubble around her started to circle over her rings. Peach got caught in the rubble before getting thrown to the bottom of the cave. She landed on her feet and looked up as a ton of rubble was falling at her along with Amy. Peach raised her hands and used her power to push the rubble to the side. She then went to kick Amy and they clashed. The rubble crashed onto the floor and caused a bunch of debris as the two girls landed. Amy quickly turned invisible as Peach put on her invisibility cap. They both looked up and couldn't see each other after the debris cleared.

Amy/Peach: "Huh?!"

They looked around for each other, but soon Amy lost her patience. She spun around and made a giant tornado that sucked everything inside, including Peach. As the princess was flying in the middle of the tornado, Amy struck her with a bunch of homing attacks. Peach spread her arms and dispersed the winds. She pulled out a Fire Flower and become Fire Peach, sending a massive fireball at Amy, who quickly jumped over it and went for another homing attack, hitting Peach in the face. She jumped back and blew a kiss, blowing a typhoon of hearts that struck Peach everywhere. Peach was knocked back and crashed into the stone wall. Peach looked down and saw a Lucky Bell rolling on the ground. As Amy went for another strike, Peach dodged it and rolled on the ground before grabbing the bell, turning into Lucky Cat Peach.

Peach: Meow!

Amy jumped down and went for a swing of her hammer, but Preach swung her claws and knocked it out of her hands. She went to swing her caws again and Amy jumped back, summoning both her Long Hammer and Large Piko Piko Hammer. Peach jumped up and turned into a Golden Statue. She tried to smash down onto Amy but she dodged it and swung her hammer, clashing with the Gold Statue and causing a shockwave around it. There was no effect as Amy continued to hammer away at the gold statue. She stopped to take a breath and Peach immediately turned back to claw at her. Amy dodged it and swung both of her hammers, sending her flying into the cave's ceiling as giant rocks began to fall. Amy dropped her hammers jumped from stone to stone as she saw a Yellow Wisp floating around. She quickly grabbed it and jumped up at Peach, turning into a drill and... well, drilling her through the top of the cave, into the ground, and all the way up to the Mushroom Kingdom where they both flew up from the ground. Amy turned back and summoned her regular hammer before hitting Peach in the head, sending her crashing into a Mushroom Shop. Amy landed on the ground with a smile, but then the ground suddenly started to shake.

Amy: Uh oh...

Just then a giant Peach burst out of the shop that she crashed into. Amy looked around and saw a bunch of Toads running away. She saw one trip and drop a Chaos Emerald before running without it. She looked up to see Peach trying to step on her and Amy quickly ran to dodge it. She grabbed the Chaos Emerald just as Peach reached down to grab her. Amy quickly jumped up and ran up her arm. 

Amy: As they say... the bigger they are...

Once Amy reached her shoulder, Peach tried to grab her again but Amy jumped high into the air.

Amy: The harder they fall!

She swung her hammer and hit Peach in the forehead, causing her to fall straight to the ground before Peach went back to her regular size. Once Amy landed, she turned to see Peach had her hands on a Double Cherry and used it to make ten clones of herself. All the clones dashed at Amy, who used the power of the Chaos Emerald to go into her Hyper Mode. She swung her hammer and made a shockwave that sent all the clones flying. She then turned back to Peach, who had a Super Star in her hand. She used its power to become Super Star Peach and run at her. Amy swung her hammer as Peach swung her umbrella and they clashed before knocking each other back. They dashed right back at each other. Amy blew a kiss and Peach used a special camera, causing them both to freeze before they could make their next move. They stayed frozen until both their transformations ran out, then Amy swung her hammer and sent Peach flying into the air. Peach then grew wings and stopped herself mid-air, becoming Empress Peach. Amy quickly jumped up in the air as Peach flew down at her. Amy swung her hammer and Peach kicked it, destroying it instantly.

Amy: Huh?

Peach went for another kick, this time to Amy herself. She kicked her so hard Amy's body split into three as blood and guts rained everywhere. Peach landed back to base form as Amy's dead head landed in front of her.

Peach: Did I win?

Junko: Yes... but I think you overdid it.

Kokonoe: These two were fairly evenly matched. Both of them had counters to the other's stuff, but Amy was eventually overwhelmed.

Ann: Yeah, Amy was definitely faster and had more combat experience despite being younger, but she was a bit too reckless. She also didn't have the strength required to put Amy down.

Junko: Yeah, while Amy can take hits from Shadow and Knuckles in their base forms, Peach can survive a Black Hole and asteroids in space. Not to mention she took on Bower. While Bowser isn't as strong as Shadow, it takes a lot to take him down. Plus she's helped with a lot more big threats than Amy has. Even sealing the Dark Star that took Mario, Luigi, and Bowser to take on together.

Kokonoe: Also, while they do have counters to each other's power-ups, Peach does have more than Amy's shown in her arsenal. Thus giving Peach more ways of getting the job done.

Ann: In the end, Peach was stronger despite the little experience she has.

Kokonoe: The winner is Princess Peach.
