Kokonoe: Dammit... well... this was bound to happen eventually...

Junko: Long ago, a Black Beast threatened everything in its path. All seemed loss until six heroes appeared and brought an end to it! And while she wasn't the leader, Konoe Ayatsuki Mercury was certainly the founder of this little group.

Ann: Though that's her real name... everyone else knows her by her other name... Nine the Phantom.

Kokonoe: Right... and since my mother has grown weaker over the years, e will be looking at her in her prime.

Junko: Either way she's pretty darn strong!

Junko: Being one of the Six Heroes, Nine is among the strongest warriors in the BlazBlue series, easily on par with them! She can even trade blows and subdue Jubei, the strongest being in the world!

Ann: She fought almost the entire Blazblue cast with no problem taking on guys like Hakumen and Azrael... you know... the guy who can rip through entire dimensions with his bare hands.

Junko: With a single bolt of electricity, Nine even managed to blast off one of the heads of the Black Beast, who exists outside of logic!

Ann: She made the weapons of pretty much half the Blazblue cast. And even has weapons of her own. For example, her cloak can turn into wings for flight or hands to grab her opponents. It even acts as a weapon and shield.

Kokonoe: My mother's arguably not just one of the most powerful witches of her time, but one of the strongest sorcerers in history. Mom's sorcery is as aggressive as her personality as she focuses on delivering powerful spells with little casting time. She furthermore has a unique yet deadly ability which she has no control over... she attracts seithr. This ability is only suppressed by her imitation of the Origin of the Grimoire... which is her left eye.

Ann: While it's not as strong as the original, it does have the same abilities. It can manipulate blood and memories as well as create a black mist that absorbs souls. It's even capable of storing magic and absorbing the seithr around her.

Kokonoe: But her greatest weapon is Hino Kagutsuchi.

Kokonoe: Its origins are unknown, but after the Dark War, Mom managed to bind this demon completely to her will.

Junko: So it's basically a living fire element that's completely under Nine's control.

Ann: Yep. Nine can summon his limbs for some devastating attacks, like giant flaming punches or kicks. She can even ride atop his head. It can even generate large beams of energy.

Kokonoe: To be fair, she's probably controlling it with the same mind control magic she used on Tsubaki and Hazama in the past.

Junko: Oh yeah Hazama... that one mistake that bit her in the butt pretty bad.

Kokonoe: Still, if there's one thing my mother exceeds at... it's her sorcery and magic.

Kokonoe: In combat, Mom can rapidly deploy spells with casting time so tiny it almost seems like an instinctive reflex. She can fire a ball of light that explodes into a rain of bullets or fire gusts of wind so powerful that they can rend bone. If an opponent comes too close, she can generate lightning around her body to prevent them from coming closer.

Junko: She can also control other elements like ice and fire. She can summon spears of darkness and even a goat's skull to block attacks!

Kokonoe: She can also combine elements, allowing her to do things like sprout giant plants from the ground or summon giant rocks with ice spikes down at her opponent.

Junko: Speaking of ice spikes, Nine knows Alchemy!

Kokonoe: A scientific power that controls the elements. She can use it to control the earth around her, create forcefields that sap her opponent's strength, transmute objects and weapons, and induce sleep with a single touch of the finger. 

Junko: Then she combined sorcery and magic and called it Ars Magus! A more powerful ability that can harm beings outside of logic and scar your very soul! Creating injuries that can't even be healed through reality-warping!

Ann: With this, Nine can control the weather, camouflage, and heal wounds outside of logic! She can even heal your soul... though the process is painful.

Junko: Nine can also create clones of herself, make black holes, and harden her body to the point weapons shatter against her skin. She even knows magic that takes away her sense of pain whenever she's at a disadvantage.

Kokonoe: Teleportation is one of Mom's signature abilities, although she initially struggled with using it at first, eventually mastering it over time and being able to teleport herself and others at great distances. One of her other spells allows her to heighten her senses to the levels of beastkin, giving her excellent hearing and vision which far surpasses most humans.

Ann: If you want a comparison... a Beastkin has eyesight so good that they can perceive most attacks as being in slow motion.

Kokonoe: At the height of her power, Mother was capable of not just fighting Seven and Eight, two other accomplished members of the Ten Sages, but was also able to seemingly best them at the same time. Even Seven has remarked that among the Ten Sages in the Dark War, Nine is a "monster" in the application of offensive sorcery.

Junko: Oh yeah, let's not forget she doesn't just summon giant monster limbs. Se can also summon a giant mirror!

Junko: This big boy is the Citrine of Change! It can reflect any attack and Nine can kick it straight into her opponent whenever she wants!

Ann: She can also summon a fairy!

Ann: Known as the Taaffeite of Temptation, this fairy can fly around shooting bolts of magic at the opponent!

Junko: She can trap foes with a gravity field, summon a dark sphere that blows up in a cross shape, and even summon sphere's in the air that tracks her foe and rain down giant fireballs at them!

Kokonoe: As far as special moves go, Mom has the Crimson Raider.

Kokonoe: Where she wreaths herself in flames and charges at her opponent.

Ann: And there's the Flax Nurture.

Ann: Which is used to boost at least one of her elemental attacks.

Junko: But enough about that! It's time for her Overdrive, Distortion Drives, and Exeed Accel!

Ann: First is her overdrive, Burning Red, which increases the power of her distortion drives.

Junko: Her first Distortion Drive is Flame Punisher, where she unleashes a trio of beams, from herself and from Hino Kagutsuchi!

Kokonoe: Then there's Cardinal Nova, where she unleashes a series of massive explosions that juggles the foe into the air.

Junko: And Azurite Inferno, where Nine entraps the foe in a crucifix and unleashes magical orbs at them!

Ann: Then there's her Exceed Accel, Scarlet Vein... where she kicks the foe into the air, then commands Hino Kagutsuchi to crush them between its fists. Doing so also puts her in a state where her damage output is drastically increased.

Kokonoe: But none of these are as good as her Astral Heat, Colorless Void.

Kokonoe: Mom summons Hino Kagutsuchi from underneath the ground to devour the foe and entrap them. She then flies into the air, conjures a magical glyph, then pelters the helpless foe, who is trapped in a fiery cage, with a barrage of meteors.

Junko: Yeah, it's pretty hard to forget that Nine is really powerful. Hell, she even made her own pocket dimension that she has complete control over! 

Kokonoe: But my mother is not immortal.

Ann: Yeah, she does have a bit of a temper...

Junko: Plus her love of her sister Celica means that she is easily manipulated whenever her sister is involved and can be distracted by Celica's presence.

Kokonoe: Furthermore, Mom's strength in her body created by Relius Clover severely restricts the magical and sorcery-based abilities she possesses, and pales in comparison with her original body's power.

Junko: But don't worry... since we're using these guys at their full potential, Nine will be fighting in her original body instead just to be at full power. This girl can go head to head with the best of the best! She's even one of the few badasses who took a dip in the boundary and lived with their sanity! This chick really is one dangerous witch.

Nine: Aww, done already? You know, you can fight me with everything you've got. I won't break so easily... like the others!
