Junko: Hopes Peak Academy, a school that only accepts the best of the best. The only way to get in is if you were the best at what you do, even if what you do isn't very nice. 

Ann: When did we start talking about the Wolverine?

Junko: The special students that attend this prestigious academy are known as Ultimate Student... or Super High School Level students. Depending on what translation you're looking at. For the longest time, Hajime Hinata has looked up to these Ultimate Students and hoped to become one himself, but because he didn't have an Ultimate Talent, he couldn't become a Super High School Level Student.

Kokonoe: He did get into the school though. However, he would end up in the Reserve Department separated from the main branch.

Junko: Ouch, poor Hajime. Luckily there was one way to fix his problems. If he wasn't gonna get a talent naturally, then all he's gotta do is let the school give him one artificially!

Ann: That doesn't sound legal.

Junko: Trust me, it wasn't! But they didn't care. The whole point in even having a reserve course in the first place was so that they could make an artificial talent. And well, that's exactly what ended up happening.

Kokonoe: Using the world's greatest scientist, Hopes Peak Academy scrambled with Hajime's mind. Taking away anything stopping him from becoming anything less than perfect. Eventually, Hajime would become an entirely different person. A person loved by talent... the true Mastermind of his own killing game, Izuru Kamakura.

Junko: Kamakura Kamakura Yas Queen! Everybody give it up for the Ultimate Hope that sent the world to despair!

Ann: What?

Junko: Oh yeah, while this whole "Izuru Kamakura Project" was a complete success, I totally broke in and convinced Izuru that Despair was far better and far more unpredictable. And thus left me to my first recruit to the Ultimate Despair! And can you blame me? Izuru is super strong!

Junko: He has all the talents from all the Ultimates known to man... and even the ones that aren't very known like the Ultimate Spy. He knows every marital art out there and you already know he's the strongest in the series thanks to the talents of the Ultimate Martial Artist, Ultimate Gymnast, Ultimate Team Manager, Ultimate Wrestler, Ultimate Gay Boxer, Ultimate Assassin, and so much more.

Kokonoe: The strongest powerlifter in known history was able to lift 6,270 pounds (2844.02 kg) in a back lift, meaning Izuru could possibly exceed that.

Junko: Of course, he could. This is an anime already about being better than the best. Take Nekomaru Nidai, who can take a shit so bad it literally destroys the bathroom and part of the forest behind him, or cause an explosion the size of a building! Genocide Jack can knock back Big Bang Monokuma, who is the size of a skyscraper and can part the clouds! 

Ann: He's also stronger than Sakura and Mukuro.

Junko: Sakura can distort space with her battle aura alone and Mukuro, as pathetic as she is, can output enough energy to level an entire town! Sakura once threw Mukuro so fast that the G-Force nearly knocked her unconscious and yet all Izuru had to do was bitch slap her. He's even more durable than me, and I can take a lot of damage.

Kokonoe: Even more impressively is when he casually faced a bunch of battleships and commented on how boring it was. Implying that he could take them all out with ease... which he clearly did afterward.  Fletcher-class Destroyers potentially comprise up to 2,370,000 kilograms of hardened armor-grade steel with fragmentation energy of over 189 gigajoules, which takes a ton of energy to destroy, and Izuru can take at least 41 of them.

Junko: He's also super fast!

Junko: He's much faster than me, dodging my attacks with his eyes closed! Mukuro can move faster than the eye can see and is so fast that time slows down and he's still faster. My Monokuma's can also dodge electromagnetic waves and he's faster than them too!

Kokonoe: Not too surprising. Someone as normal as Komaru could do the same and complete idiots like Yasuhiro can dodge machinegun fire. Izuru is much faster than them and is even faster than Sakura, who can travel from Japan to Prague. A trip that's normally a 16 to21 hour flight by plane.

Ann: Not only is he fast and strong, but he's intelligent.

Ann: Wait, why do most of our pictures have Junko in them?

Junko: Great question! Izuru just so happens to have the talents of the Ultimate Clarvoiyant, the Ultimate Anthropologist, the Ultimate Detective, the Ultimate Gamer, the Ultimate Inventor, the Ultimate Mechanic, the Ultimate Programmer, and more importantly my Ultimate Analyst talent. He also has my Ultimate Fashionista talent but that's just to look cute.

Ann: Okay, but that didn't answer my-

Junko: And with all these talents and more, Izuru is quite possibly the smartest guy in the whole series. He can predict events from the far and near future better than Yasuhiro ever could and can figure out your entire character with just a glance! And since my talent lets me adapt to my opponent's physical capabilities, it's safe to assume he can d the same thing only perfectly.

Ann: Still, that's not even his most overpowered ability. His most notable talent is definitely his luck.

Ann: I'm not talking about regular luck. Izuru's level of luck is on a whole other level of anime bullcrap. In fact, Izuru was pretty much born with an insane amount of good luck. So much so that it completely negates Nagito's own luck.

Junko: Now there are other people with Luck as a talent or a part of their talent. Take Makoto and Celeste for example. But Nagito's Ultimate Lucky Talent is on a whole other level. 

Kokonoe: Let me explain. According to Nagito, he possesses both good and bad luck. For everything good that happens to him, something bad happens in return. Letting Nagito survive plane crashes, meteor strikes, and truck collisions. He can cause an avalanche by kicking a ball and his bad luck alone is enough to destroy an entire building.

Junko: Right. Now take all that and triple it for Izuru. The difference is, Izuru doesn't have all the Bad Luck that comes with it and can predict when his luck will activate. His luck is so potent that it can be considered a minor form of Probability manipulation!

Ann: It makes sense that he can use the techniques of the other Ultimates too. Like Sakura and Nekumaru, who can infuse their punches with fire and lightning respectively. Similar to Ibuki, Akane, and Toko, his senses of smell and hearing are top-notch. And he can most likely pull scissors out of nowhere similar to Genocide Jack, who can make it rain scissors and even summon a scissor spirit bomb.

Kokonoe: With that, it's best we cover his other talents shall we? 

Kokonoe: Yeah. With the Ultimate Breeder, he can call upon animals and even communicate with them. With the Ultimate Imposter and Cosplayer talents, he can disguise himself as just about anyone.

Ann: He can mask his whole appearance with little effort. If he doesn't want to be found, you won't find him. 

Junko: He's an expert musician, cook, assassin, nurse, swimmer, swordsman, gunman, dancer, artist, tennis player, supreme leader, soldier, secret agent, and so much more!

Ann: Still... how is he a princess?

Junko: Best not to ask questions you don't want to know the answer to. I mean, Izuru is perfect in every way, but even he has setbacks.

Junko: Despite all the denial, it's pretty obvious Hajime is still in there somewhere. But this is about Izuru. The guy's become too powerful to the point he gets bored of everything because he can literally do anything. This leads him to not put much effort into anything and to look down on others that aren't himself. But it also means he can be taken off guard if something interesting did happen. Then he'd get excited. It's how I managed to trick him into getting into despair.

Kokonoe: And how he came to believe in hope. After Junko's death, he decided to test which was superior by using her just as she used him. And so he created AI Chiaki and plugged in AI Junko into the Neo World Program. Eventually, this test would lead Hajime to come back, fused with Izuru Kamakura he would help his fellow Remnants of Despair and discover... you don't need talent to be special.

Izuru: This world is full of boring people. People who lack talent stick together, and oppress those who do possess talent... Even though they know they're insignificant, they don't try to acknowledge their true superiors... They are profoundly desperate to drag them down to their level... And because of these bastards, this world has come to a deadlock. This world has stopped evolving. ...How boring.
