Kokonoe: There are plenty of kings in fiction, but when it comes to these two, nobody comes close.

Neptune: And today we're gonna see what these two will do in a fight! It's the battle of Egos and I'm all for it!

Junko: Doctor Doom, King of Marvel.

Ann: And Gilgamesh, the King of Fate!

Kokonoe: The stage is set and the combatants are ready.

Junko: It's time for a Death Battle!!!

In the peaceful city of Rome, everything seemed pretty peaceful. Even the citizens were happy and smiling. That is... until the skies suddenly grew dark and Doctor Doom came floating from above.

Doom: People of this city, you now have the honor of being ruled by your new king. Now... on your knees for Doom!

A bunch of portals opened as robots and monsters terrorized the city under Doom's command. Just above all this, Gilgamesh was sitting on the throne of his Vimana. Hakuno was there with him, looking down at the burning city.

Hakuno: We have to help them!

Gilgamesh: And why would I waste my time doing that?

Hakuno: Um...

Gilgamesh: And you better not say something foolish like"or the goodness of my heart". I have nothing to gain by helping mere peasants.

Hakuno: Well... if you won't stop this guy, would you at least help evacuate the civilians?

Gilgamesh: ... Hmph. Very well.

The King of Heroes went to land the Vimana in the middle of the city and Hakuno stepped off. As she did, Doom flew down before her.

Doom: You there... bow before your king or face the wrath of-

Suddenly, three swords stabbed straight through him and he fell to the floor... before being revealed to be a Doombot and blowing up in front of them.

Hakuno: Huh?!

Gilgamesh stood up and got off the Vimana.

Gilgamesh: You dare mock me with this pathetic doll? Come out and reveal yourself to your true king.

A portal suddenly opened as the real Doctor Doom stepped out.

Doom: You dare call yourself my King? No mere man rules me.

Doctor Doom had already started scanning Gilgamesh, noticing his overwhelming power right away. Meanwhile, Gilgamesh was sensing Doom's magical power and smiles.

Gilgamesh: This may be more interesting than I thought. A mongrel like you dare defy me?

Doom: When I'm finished, there will be no one left to do so. 

Gilgamesh: Heh... I agree.

Gilgamesh fired multiple swords at his opponent but none of them managed to get past Doom's force field.

Doom: Hahaha! How pitiful.

Before Doom could make a move of his own, a golden portal opened up beneath them, and out came a giant monster holding a sword and swinging it at Doom, who was quick to fly away and start blasting the thing. Meanwhile, Gilgamesh summoned the Holy Grail and summoned Ushiwakamaru, Bankei, and Leonidas. He gave Hakuno the command seals for them. 

Gilgamesh: Get rid of the vermin.

Hakuno: Right.

Hakuno nodded as Leonidas summoned an army of 300. They ran to fight off Doom's own army of Doombots and Mindless Ones. Meanwhile, Gilgamesh flew into the air and watched Doom fight off the monster. Doom restrained it with magic and unleashed a giant lightning bolt from the sky that blew it to dust.

Gilgamesh: Impressive. Now try this on for size.

He summoned a giant bow that fired nine beams of energy at Doom who was flying around and dodging them all. One of the blasts went through a skyscraper and Doom used his powers to lift the entire building up and throw it at him. Gilgamesh summoned a giant flaming blade that blew the building up in an instant, followed by a bunch of giant boulders Doom threw at him.

Gilgamesh: Tch!

Gilgamesh fired blades at some of them and dodged the rest as Doom pulled out his sword before flying at him. Gilgamesh summoned a sword of his own and they both clashed blades, creating a giant shockwave that shattered all the glass in the city. The two kings then butted heads. 

Gilgamesh: You're a tough one, I'll give you that. But at the end of the day, this world belongs to me!

Doom: Correction!

Suddenly, Doom managed to stun Gilgamesh with his miniature paralysis gun.

Doom: The world belongs to Doom!

He unleashed a sonic wave from his hands that sent Gilgamesh crashing into the ground, causing a huge crater.

Doom: Now... Footdi-

Doom was about to go for a Footdive but Vimana suddenly crashed into him, sending him flying and crashing into the ground. Gilgamesh teleported onto the Vimana, sitting down and having himself some fresh wine as he flew above Doom. As Doom tried to get up, several chains suddenly wrapped around his arms and held him down. 

Doom: What?

Gilgamesh: I've grown bored of these games mongrel. Now turn to ashes and die.

Saying this, Gilgamesh dropped a nuclear bomb on Doom and blew up the entire city. A bunch of dust and debris was everywhere once the explosion had settled. Hakuno came out from under a bunch of rocks as she was lucky to be protected by Leonidas' soldiers. The other servants got up as well. 

Hakuno: Is everyone alright? Luckily we got the citizens out in time. Jeez! I get that you wanted to kill him, but did you really need to go with overkill?!

Ushiwaka: It wasn't overkilling... in fact... it wasn't enough.

Hakuno: Huh?

That's when Hakuno noticed he could still feel Doom's presence. She looked up to see his silhouette coming from all the smoke and debris. He came out unscathed by the explosion.

Hakuno: No way... not even a nuke could stop him?

Doom looked up to see all three spirits as well as the army of Leonidas. Meanwhile, nearly half his own army had been destroyed.

Doom: 300 soldiers still standing strong. I commend you for your bravery at least.

Ushiwaka: Get Hakuno to safety! Now!

Bankei quickly ran with Hakuno as Doom unleashed a giant blast of energy that immediately took out 250 soldiers and obliterated Bankei. It was about to hit Hakuno but Gilgamesh summoned a giant wall behind her that blocked the blast as he floated back down. Hakuno looked up at him quickly before going back to find somewhere safe. 

Doom: So eager to protect that girl. When I'm done with you, she's next.

Ushikawa: We'll be the judge of that!

Ushikawa dashed at him and swung her sword, but Doom dodged it and grabbed her by the neck, unleashing 500,000 volts of electricity through her body. Leonidas went to throw his spear but Doom immediately unleashed a pillar of flames beneath the Spartan's feet that turned him to dust, and his army disappeared as well. He then absorbed Ushikawa, gaining even more power.

Doom: Now then Kingo Heroes, how do you plan on beating this?

Doom stood tall with an army of Doombots and Mindless Ones by his side. A tablet then dropped into Gilgamesh's hand.

Gilgamesh: Do you honestly think this is enough to stop me? None of you are even close to my level!

Suddenly, the sky brightened as thousands of Noble Phantasm's rained down upon them, creating massive explosions that whipped out the army and the rest of the city. Out of the explosions Gilgamesh flew into the air being followed by Doom. Gilgamesh shot a trident at him and Doom swatted it away, only for it to come back and stab him in the back. Three swords were then fired and stabbed him in the chest. A bunch of chains then wrapped around him, creating a giant metal ball.

Doom: Enough!

He suddenly unleashed a huge burst of power that destroyed the chains as Gilgamesh fired a red spear that was tearing through causality. Doom made a shield that blocked it and sent it flying back. As he did, Gilgamesh flew at him with a golden axe and swung it. Doom swung his fist and the two of them clashed, creating a giant explosion that knocked them both back. Gilgamesh then summoned his Vajra and used it to unleash a giant burst of lightning. Doom turned that burst of lightning into several lightning bolts instead.

Doom: Annoying cockroach!

He sent the balls of lightning right back at him and they were blocked by several lightning disks.

Gilgamesh: Worthless mongrel!

Gilgamesh summoned a staff and unleashed a burst of light as Doom pulled out a ray gun and fired it, clashing projectiles as Doom threw a Time-Shift bomb that blew up in Gilgamesh's face.

Gilgamesh: Worthless mon-

Doom: Footdive!

Before Gilgamesh could finish that, Doom hit him with a Footdive that sent him crashing into the city.

Doom: You are nothing to me. Nothing but a pathetic, whimpering insect, unworthy of being crushed beneath my boot!

Gilgamesh: You make a grave mistake assuming yourself above humans mongrel king!

Gilgamesh summoned a bow of lightning and fired it off at Doom, who immediately caught it as Gilgamesh summoned two tonfa's on his arms. He flew up as Doom threw the arrow back at him. The king of heroes dodged it and they both went for a powerful punch, clashing and creating a huge shockwave destroying everything around them. They started moving at blinding speeds clashing with each strike until Doom unleashed a huge burst of thunder at him. Gilgamesh dodged it as he went or a mighty punch that Doom caught. He went for a punch of his own but Gilgamesh caught that one. The two of them headbutt each other. Doom then sent a huge burst of electricity through Gilgamesh's body.

Doom: Fool! This is my game. And in this game, I make the rules!

Gilgamesh: Gah... you just don't get it do you?!

He headbutts Doom, knocking him back before punching him back into the city. Gilgamesh then turned the Tonfas into a bow as it was revealed to be Enki.

Gilgamesh: In this game, I AM THE RULES!

He fired an arrow of light down at him that Doom blocked with his force field. As it was blocked, the city was quickly being engulfed in water. Several waves started to surround Doom as Gilgamesh summoned Merodach and flew down at him, swinging the sword and breaking through Gilgamesh's shield as the waves came down on the two of them. Moments later, the sheer power of two kings created a humongous tsunami as well as a giant blizzard that could be seen through space. The two of them were in the middle of this vortex of water clashing fist to blade before Gilgamesh unleashed a giant burst of light through the blade, splitting the Ocean and sending Doom flying. Doom caught himself as Gilgamesh flew up swinging two other Noble Phantasm. Doom swung his fist and broke both of them with ease before Gilgamesh summoned Caladblog and used it to blow Doom's arm off.

Doom: Gah! AAAAAGH!

His arm grew back instantly as Doom backhanded Gilgamesh and sent him flying. As Gilgamesh caught himself, he felt the round Doom gave him. Even though it was healing, Gilgamesh still clutched his fist in anger.

Gilgamesh: You dare strike at me?! The KING?!

Doom looked up to see Gilgamesh summon the entire Titanic to smash down on him. Doom teleported out of the way as Gilgamesh stood in the air in silence. 

Gilgamesh: You weak rubbish are so blissfully unaware of how pathetic you truly are. If I had it my way, all the trash like you would be long gone. But the least I can do is get rid of vermin like you. Congratulations, you've won the honor of having me use my ultimate weapon.

The skies grew dark as thunder erupted. Reality shook as Gilgamesh summoned his ultimate weapon. The power coursing through it was enough that not even Doom's own sensors could comprehend it.

Doom: Such an extraordinary device...  and wasted... on your incompetence!

Gilgamesh: We'll see about that. Now then, witness the power of Ea!

The thing started spinning rapidly, creating gigantic gusts of red wind and making rocks rise up from the ocean beneath them. The rocks started coming at Doom and he flew and dodged them while flying up at Gilgamesh, going for a punch. Gilgamesh swung Ea and the two of them clashed. Said clash started making ripples and cracks in space and time as the winds send Doom flying back. Gilgamesh unleashed a huge blast of energy and Doom was quick to use his force field to block it. He unleashed a blast of his own that sent Gilgamesh flying to the moon, completely obliterating nearly half of it. As Gilgamesh kept flying, Doom teleported behind him and grabbed him by the back of the neck as he flew back to Earth. He smashed him into an island and caused an explosion that could be seen through space. The dust settled as Doom stood alone in the carnage... only for Gilgamesh to appear behind him.

Gilgamesh: Impressive. It appears I should stop holding back.

Doom: Agreed.

They both turned and swung at each other clashing as they took their battle across the world, creating several explosions that shook the Earth. They would eventually make it to New York City where Gilgamesh would be sent flying through several buildings before crashing into the streets. Doom floated above the city and Gilgamesh recovered, blasting another burst of energy at him that Doom started to block with his shields.

Doom This power... it's like that of a god!

The blast dispersed as Doom aimed his hand.

Doom: Beneath me!

Doom unleashed a blast of his own and Gilgamesh ended up blocking it with a shield. But his shield was already starting to break.

Gilgamesh: I've brought an end to the reign of the gods and I can say you don't come close to the level of what I've slain.

His armor glowed as he changed into his Mythological Mystic Code, regaining the full power from when he was alive. Once his barrier broke, Gilgamesh unleashed Ea again as the two were in a huge beam struggle. Buildings started to crumble around them as Hakuno watched from afar.

Hakuno: Gilgamesh...

Several portals opened around Doom and fired off thousands of swords and spears. Doom quickly teleported and dodged them all. Gilgamesh flew at him and trusted it at his chest, unleashing a burst of red winds through his body. Doom took it and grabbed it, absorbing the power of Ea as Gilgamesh flew him straight into the ground, causing another city-whipping explosion. They both stood up and clashed, destroying everything around them before pushing each other back.

Doom: On your knees and bow fool, for I am the strongest king you will ever know.

Gilgamesh: We'll see about that. 

Gilgamesh stabbed Ea to the ground as it spun rapidly, destroying the ground below them. Suddenly, space and time started to dislocate around them. Doom went to dash at him but the red winds knocked him back. He quickly went to try and absorb them but they were small compared to what was under Gilgamesh's feet. As he was floating far above Doom, three gigantic fields of force were below them, creating a rifle that caused time and space itself to fluctuate.

Gilgamesh: Die and fade into Myth where you belong! Enuma Elish!

He lifted Ea up and the gigantic fields were lifted up with it. 

Doom: If you think this would stop me then you're surely mistaken!

Doom unleashed a giant burst of energy bigger than before as Gilgamesh trusted the fields. Despite Doom's attempts, Ea's power completely dwarfed his blast and smashed into him.

Doom: NOOOOOO!!!!

He crashed down as it created an explosion which caused a bright light that completely obliterated Doom until there was nothing left. The light then disappeared as Gilgamesh stood tall. He watched as Hakuno came running towards him.

Gilgamesh: This is my world, and I alone shall decide who is fit to live.

Junko: Holy fucking shit! That was epic! 

Ann: Right. This was an extremely close call with a surprising result for us as well. Physically they both could dish out a ton of damage and take blows from beings capable of destroying multiverses. If they really wanted to, they could have kept going for years on end without stopping.

Kokonoe: When it came to close-quarters combat, Doom was superior despite Gilgamesh having a more superior advantage in experience. And even though Gilgamesh could predict everything about Doom, the doctor himself has fought people who could do the same and vice versa, so it wasn't anything new for any of them.

Junko: That applies to their hax too. Doom knows a lot of magic and Gilgamesh has a lot of weapons that give him a ton of different abilities, but neither of them had anything that they hadn't seen or had already resisted in the past. 

Neptune: Luckily, Gilgamesh had one thing that pretty much changed the game forever. That was his Mythologycal Mystic Code. 

Kokonoe: Right, while Gilgamesh could match up to Doom, it wasn't until he had used the Mystic Code that he picked up the victory. In this state, he could easily take out BB, who could move across the Mooncell, making her at least 11 quintillions to 1.19 sextillion times the speed of light. And that was while crossing an infinite path.

Junko: And yes, Doom scales to guys who can reach this level of speed as well, even scaling to Thor puts him at 6.12 to 12.63 quintillion times the speed of light... but Gilgamesh blitzed BB quite easily, showing that he's much faster than even that.

Ann: And even if he wasn't faster, BB had many more abilities than Doom had once she absorbed the Mooncell. Even absorbing the energy of others wasn't anything new in her arsenal, but when used against Gilgamesh after he used the Mystic Code... she still couldn't win. And on top of that Kiara was much more powerful and she lost to him right after. The Mystic Cube basically made Gilgamesh resistant to a huge majority of Doom's own hax. And even if we included the ones that could manipulate Fate, Gilgamesh has resisted stuff like that even without the Mystic Code!

Junko: With enough prep time though, Doom would have had a much better chance at taking the win. But for now, Gil is the Victor and showed his opponents Doom.

Kokonoe: The winner... is Gilgamesh.
