Kokonoe: After the death of his abusive and alcoholic father, Dio was sent to live with the Joestar family to repay a debt owed to his father by George Joestar. Dio quickly asserts himself as the superior of his new adoptive brother, Jonathan, beginning an intense rivalry.

Junko: It started off with simple stuff. Killing your dog, stealing the kiss of your girlfriend, slowly poisoning your father... y'know... the normal stuff you'd do to a sibling.

Ann: ... And suddenly your relationship with Mukuro makes a lot more sense...

Junko: Hm?

Kokonoe: Eventually, This ultimately leads to Dio casting aside his humanity in pursuit of power and immortality using the Stone Mask, becoming a vampire, and seeking world domination as opposed to merely earthly riches.

Junko: Eventually they both die, Dio takes Jonathan's body as his own, yadda, yadda, yoda. All you need to know for the moment is that Dio would eventually obtain a Stand and turn from a vampire... into an extremely powerful vampire!

Kokonoe: Dio is incredibly strong, capable of ripping steel with his bare hands as well as lifting and throwing a large Ocean Liner.

Junko: He can even take hits from and keep up with Star Platinum, who can break diamonds and move at speeds of at least 1500x the speed of light! Other stands like Stone Free can destroy meteors moving at relativistic speeds. Scaling to that, Dio should be able to punch with the force of at least 441 Tons of TNT.

Kokonoe: Dio is an extremely skilled and merciless fighter, preferring an amazingly powerful offense over defense. He's a master manipulator who can talk most people into doing what he wants and he's not afraid to play dirty if the situation calls for it.

Ann: Still, aside from his skill at hand-to-hand, he's also really good with knives!

Ann: They're throwing knives and he seems to have a near infinite amount of them as he can throw them in conjunction with his time stop which we'll get into later.

Junko: He's also got a crystal ball and a Steam Roller which he will pick up, smash the opponent under it, and punch it a bunch until it explodes! Though it's important to talk about his vampire abilities.

Junko: He can hear the heartbeat of others, climb up walls, and has even gained immortality to the point that he's nearly impossible to actually kill!

Kokonoe: Right. Thanks to this he doesn't age and has an incredible healing factor.

Kokonoe: Dio can live as just a head and can control severed body parts. His bodily organs don't help him live anymore, making it harmless if he loses one.

Ann: Well he can heal faster than fire can consume him.

Junko: He's healed from bisection, decapitation, being impaled, and burnt to a crisp! He can also heal faster after sucking human blood... from his fingers.

Ann: Straizo, a weaker Stone Mask vampire, survived getting blown to bits by grenades and quickly healed while Dio survived a blow that turned him into a bloody fountain!

Kokonoe: Along with his regeneration, Dio has his Space Ripper Stingy Eyes.

Kokonoe: Where he fires compressed beams of liquid through small holes in his pupils.

Junko: Hehe

Ann: They're basically lasers that can cut through just about anything. It can cut through metal and steel and even split the sky!

Kokonoe: He's capable of Vaporization Freezing.

Kokonoe: By freezing his own blood, Dio can cover his body parts in ice and transfer the freezing to anyone he touches.

Junko: He used this to negate the Ripple by freezing the opponent's bloodstream!

Kokonoe: He can fuse the bodies of others and hypnotize people using flesh buds generated by his hair. But more importantly, is his Stand... The World.

Kokonoe: The manifestation of Dio's psyche. It can only be seen and harmed by other stands or others who can harm similar beings, and it can be summoned at any time.

Junko: We should already mention that Jotaro inherited his Stand from Jonathan, making Star Platinum and The World the same Stand. This is why they're both evenly matched in power and skill.

Kokonoe: But its most powerful ability is its power to stop time.

Kokonoe: With this, Dio can freeze time around him while still being able to move around freely. This time stop can reach all the way to space and Dio can spam it constantly.

Junko: Originally it could only last 4 seconds, but Dio was able to increase this time limit with each use. During his fight with Jotaro, he could use it for 9 seconds. And upon his death, he went up to 11 seconds.

Kokonoe: In the end though, he just wasn't able to take down Jotaro.

Junko: Right... but what if he did?

Kokonoe: What? But he didn't. Unless you're referring to... wait, you don't mean... you're seriously suggesting breaking the rules here?

Junko: The rules are we can't use non-cannon material unless it's to help support the cannon material. But I never stated which Dio we were using here, did I? So technically I'm not breaking the rules... but bending them.

Ann: Plus, if we don't, we'll technically be breaking our rule of not accepting stomp matchups. So we can either bend our rules or we can break them.

Kokonoe: ... Ugh fine. 

Junko: You see, the thing about JoJo is that it has alternate timelines. There's a timeline where you're reading this bio about Dio. There's a timeline where you're writing a bio about Dio. There's even a timeline where you're just watching JoJo and a shark breaks into your house to watch JoJo with you because you both like JoJo.

Kokonoe: That's a weird way to describe it but yes, there's even a timeline where Dio battles Jotaro and wins. As a result, he proceeds onward with his plans, evolving his Stand to the point where Dio can finally ascend over Heaven.

Kokonoe: A few things to note, while it is questionable how much of this version of Dio is considered canon... there's no doubt that he is the most powerful version of Dio we've ever seen.

Ann: He can create tornadoes that blind you temporarily or summon lightning from the sky! He also keeps his time-stopping ability though it is questionable if it's infinite in length or just lasts way longer than before.

Kokonoe: But his greatest ability has to be his Reality Overwrite.

Kokonoe: As the name suggests, this gives Dio the ability to rewrite reality. He can rewrite anything within any timeline, granting him Godlike powers.

Junko: He can teleport between realities, universes, and even entire timelines! He can control people's minds, steal your soul, or even wipe you from existence! Hell, he's erased Valentine from every existence across the entire multiverse!

Kokonoe: Even more impressively is that he managed to overwrite the powers of Tusk Act 4 and GER. One Stand that can deal an infinite amount of damage... and another that can put you in an infinite time loop once killed by it.

Ann: Not only did he overwrite GER, he even went back and undid the infinite time loop that was put on Diovalo by GER. Oh! Dio can even use his powers to completely bring the dead back to life or even heal himself by touching his face and undoing any damage done to him previously!

Junko: He can also change his appearance as he wishes. How else could you explain his more godly appearance? Even Jotaro,  who obtained the same power, didn't really need to change his looks. And when Pucci obtained similar power, he reset the entire universe without changing his looks!

Kokonoe: But even this amount of power comes with its drawbacks.

Junko: Yeah, while he has all this power, it seems more focused on the universe around him. He can change his own appearance and stuff like that, but he can't change things about his stand like the length of his Timestop. It's also why his powers barely did anything to Jotaro since they were the same type of Stand.

Ann: He also needs his hands in order to use his powers. Even after absorbing the souls of the other Jostars and growing strong enough to warp reality without physical contact, Jotaro still managed to beat him by injuring his arms.

Junko: Wait, how the hell did he do that?

Kokonoe: Well If something from an alternate universe touches its equivalent, those two things will collide and destroy each other. Jotaro used rings from Dio's arms from an alternate universe and used them to injure his hands. While Dio could heal them back, the process is much slower.

Junko: Well that's gotta suck. If Dio didn't already hate the Joestars enough, he's gotta despise them now. Still, it's gotta be hard to be one of the biggest obstacles in Anime history.

Dio: What a truly magnificent feeling! I feel so good, I could break out into song! One hundred years ago, I obtained immortality. But I didn't feel as absolutely wonderful as I do now! Joestar blood suits me well! This is the greatest high!
