Kokonoe: We've all seen our fair share of Gods and Devils, but very few who can defy both and get away with it.

Junko: Unless you're these two incredibly powerful powerhouses of DEATH!

Ann: the Demi-Fiend of Shin Megami Tensei!

Neptune: And the Hellspawn of Image Comics!

Kokonoe: The stage is set and the combatants are ready.

Junko: It's time for a Death Battle!

In the middle of the night in the dark streets of Shibuya, the Demi-Fiend was standing there, staying still as Pixie was looking behind him. Spawn was hanging on a cross on top of a building watching him. Thunder clapped as he jumped off and landed right behind him with his eyes glowing green. The Pixie saw and was amazed by his bravery.

Pixie: Oh wow! A Hellspawn really did make it all the way here huh?!

Demi-Fiend turned around. His eyes glowed blue as he went to approach him.

Pixie: I know what you're after. You wanna go toe-to-toe with the Demi-Fiend, is that it? Well, I hope you're ready! He's a tough one you know?!

Spawn: The Demi-Fiend... is a kid?

Demi-Fiend: ... ... ...

Spawn: ... Fine then. Don't come crying once I send you to your grave.

Demi-Fiend dashed at him first, going for a heavy punch that was blocked by Spawn's cape. The cape then pushed Demi-Fiend back as Spawn summoned two machine guns and fired them at him. Demi-Fiend was using his fist to block all the bullets as Pixie unleashed a burst of lightning at Spawn, who dodged it fast. Demi-Fiend then summoned Cu Chulain and Girimehkala, who fired a giant fireball at him. Spawn quickly dodged it and blasted Hellfire at him but the giant elephant absorbed it as Chulain dashed at him and swung his spear. Spawn dodged it and shot at Girimehkala, who reflected the bullets and caused them to go straight through Spawn's body. Once they did, Chulain stabbed him in the back.

Spawn: Geh!

Spawn elbowed Chulan in the face and pulled the spear out of his body. He kicked Chulain into Girimehkala. He then fired a giant ball of energy that Chulain dodged as the elephant ended up with a giant hole in his stomach and disappeared. Chulain dashed at him and Spawn threw the spear into his head, causing him to disappear as well.

Pixie: Crap! He's pretty good himself!

Demi-Fiend: ... ... ...

As Spawn had his back turned, Demi-Fiend dashed at him and went for a heavy punch, but several chains blocked it as Spawn raised his hand and trapped the Fiend into a giant tree with only his head sticking out.

Spawn: Sorry kid, it'll take more than that to piss me off.

He started punching Demi-Fiend in the face, over and over and over again as blood came out through each punch. Pixie quickly sent several balls of electricity at him and Spawn quickly dodged them as she healed Demi-Fiend. She then dashed at Spawn and went to kick him, but he easily dodged it as a chain wrapped around her foot, slammed her to the ground, and tossed her aside.

Spawn: Now then...

He slowly summoned a large axe.

Spawn: Where were we?

Demi-Fiend suddenly unleashed giant beams of light from his eyes and they went straight through Spawn's body, slicing him in half. As Spawn healed he looked up at the Demi-Fiend.

Demi-Fiend's body started to burn through the tree branches as he got himself out of it. Spawn almost looked impressed.

Spawn: Looks like you're better than I thought. Alright... let's go!

Demi-Fiend: You're dead...

Spawn dashed at him and swung his axe as Demi-Fiend dodged it and punched him in the gut. Spawn grabbed him by the head and kneed him in the face. As Demi-Fiend staggered back, he went to punch him but a chain grabbed his fist and wrapped around his arm before tossing him to the side. Demi-Fiend then kicked thousands of projectiles at Spawn that blew up around him. Spawn jumped up from the explosions and summoned a giant sword, swinging it down at him. Demi-Fiend summoned a blade of light and blocked his blow. As soon as he did, Spawn kicked him back. Demi-Fiend then summoned Jack Frost.

Jack Frost: Hee-Ho!

Jack summoned a bunch of icicles that Spawn blocked with his cape. He then jumped in the air and wen to punch Spawn, but was grabbed by the neck easily. Spawn threw him in the air and unleashed a bunch of Hellfire, igniting him in flames and immediately disentegrating him. As he did that, Demi-Fiend dashed at him and punched him in the gut, unleashing a burst of energy that went straight through his chest.

Spawn: Gah! Grrr!

Spawn turned his fingers into claws and stabbed them straight into Demi-Fiends chest. The Demi-Fiend coughed up blood as Spawn lifted him up.

Spawn: You see now? I'm way out of your league.

He was about to use his other set of claws to decapitate him, but Demi-Fiend acted quickly. He summoned Dante, who jumped down and swung his sword, cutting Spawn's arm off and forced him to let go of the Fiend.

Spawn: Geh! What?!

Dante: Heh... sorry, but I can't let you kill this guy just yet.

Spawn's arm grew back as he went to face Dante.

Spawn: Is that so? Then try and stop me!

Spawn summoned another sword as they both swung their blades. They clashed with each hit before knocking each others blades out their hands. They then pulled out their guns and aimed at each others head.

Spawn/Dante: Hm? Heh, I like your style.

They both shot at each other, dodging the others bullet and jumping back. Dante fired a bunch of bullets at him and Spawn brought up a huge wall from the ground that blocked them. Demi-Fiend then ran at him and punched the wall, shattering it to pieces. As soon as he did, a coloney of bats came out of Spawns cape and swarmed around both Dante and Demi-Fiend.

The Fiend was starting to get annoyed as he unleashed Gaea's Rage, causing the Earth to tear apart. As he did this, Spawn had already unleashed several Earthquakes of his own. With both their powers combined they accidentally ended up ripping apart the whole continent before falling into their own quakes. Both Pixie and Dante saw this.

Dante: Kid!

Pixie: No!

The two of them quickly jumped down, falling with them. They saw the two punching at each other between two giant walls. Demi-Fiend kicked Spawn up into Dante, who tried to shoot him with his guns, but Spawn teleported above Dante and his chains wrapped around him. He lifted him p and slammed him into one side of the wall before pulling him into the other side of the wall. Pixie then flew down and hit Spawn in the back with an electric kick. Spawn fell faster before unleashing a giant blast of energy up at Pixie, blowing her to pieces. He then flew down at Demi-Fiend who punched him in the face. Spawn punched him back and grabbed him by the head before making a portal they both flew into it. They fell to the flaming pits of Hell as Spawn slammed him so hard into the ground it caused an atomic explosion. Spawn stood up from the explosion, his body healing from the damage. He looked up at Demi-Fiend who was pretty much unscathed as he whipped his mouth with his arm.

Spawn: Still alive huh? Not for long...

Spawn summoned six thousand other Hellspawn and even more Black Disposal animals.

Spawn: So tell me, what are your small little teams going to do... against my army.

In response to this, Demi-Fiend went ahead and summoned every Demon in his arsenal. On of the Demons even brought back the demons Spawn already killed like Jack Frost and Pixie, who flew by the Fiend's side. Dante landed among the group as Demi-Fiend looked into the eyes of Spawn.

Demi-Fiend: ... I'm going to kill you...

With those words, both their armies charged forward and attacked as Spawn flew towards Demi-Fiend firing a giant burst of energy. The Fiend countered by firing lasers pout his eyes and they both caused a huge explosion that knocked them back. Demi-Fiend fired a Divine Shot that Spawn easily dodged hile going to punch Demi-Fiend into the ground. The Fiend dodged his attack and kicked him back. He then unleashed thousands of profectiles not just upon Spawn, but his entire army of Hellspawns, destroying almost half of them as carnage continued to spread across all of Hell. Demi-Fiend them blasted a burst of fire from his hands, knocking Spawn back and sending him flying into a chunk of rubble. A few Demons started to surround him as Spawn stood up.

Spawn: Enough!

Spawn unleashed a giant shockwave of energy that knocked everyone back. He then started to absorb his own army of Hellspawn and animals as well as some of Demi-Fiends demons. The ones that weren't affected dashed at Spawn, who unleashed a giant blast of Hellfire upon everyone. Pixie quickly turned into a Super Pixie as Jack Frost turned into Black Frost, growing in size and blocking the Hellfire.

Black Frost: HEEE... HOOOO!!!

Pixie, Dante, and Demi-Fiend all got behind Black Frost as the rest of the Demons were getting obliterated by the Hellfire. Dante then threw his sword like a Boomerrang as it flew at Spawn, who quickly jumped back to dodge it. Demi-Fiend then jumped onto Black Frost and off his head as he caught Dante's sword, going in for a swing. Spawn was about to jump back and dodge it, but Pixie unleashed a huge explosion behind him that sent Spawn flying straight towards Demi-Fiend, who swung the blade and cut Spawns head clean off. As his head and body hit the floor, Demi-Fiend stood victorious. He looked behind him to see a Lady in Black holding the hand of a small child.

Lady in Black: Well done Demi-Fiend. Now that you have defeated the Hellspawn, it is time for you to join us... in the battle against the Gods...

Demi-Fiend walked past Pixie, Dante, and Jack Frost. His eyes glowed as he was resummoning... his demonic army.

Junko: Finally! This one took way longer than it should have!

Kokonoe: Both these combatants were incredibly powerful. Both had enough power to destroy and reshape reality at a whim. They also had clear counters to the others magic power.

Neptune: But that's kinda where their similarities end. I mean, Spawn is incredibly powerful, but when it comes to strength, speed, and durability, Demi-Fiend is on a whole new level!

Ann: And depending on which power he consumes, he could potentially end up immune to almost anything Spawn can throw at him. There are some instances were Spawn could potentially win, but more times than not Demi-Fiend has this.

Junko: Especially when looking at their limitations. When one runs out of magic power, he can easily replenish it or summon a demon to restore his magic for him. But when Spawn runs out of power, he's pretty much... no he's definatly dead.

Ann: Still, Spawn is definatly hard to kill. He has an entire army of other Hellspawn and other animals capable of killing Hellspawn!

Kokonoe: Right. But Demi-Fiend's fewer demons were still more powerful. We know he can summon more than 3 demons since other Devil Summoners like him have done the same, meaning the summoning three thing might be just a game mechanic. But even if it was, three is more than enough for most of them to overpower the Hellspawn or get absorbed by Spawn himself. Demi-Fiend also has his blade of light which he can easily use to get the job done.

Junko: In other words, he didn't even need Dante's blade to do the trick. Even at the peak of Spawn's power, it's still only equal to the most powerful demons Demi-Fiend has faced on a daily basis!

Kokonoe: The winner is the Demi-Fiend.
