Kokonoe: Monkey D. Luffy has explored many islands, went on many adventures, and has taken down many enemies all to become king of the pirate. But out of everyone in his Rouges Gallery, there's one man that nearly ended Luffy's journey before it even began... and his name was... Sir Crocodile.

Junko: However, a long time ago Crocodile wasn't too different from Luffy. A young man who wanted to be King of the Pirates! Issue is he took on a bit more than he could chew. Dunno what exactly happened but somewhere along the way he decided to challenge Whitebeard. And while we don't know what exactly happened, we all know he got his ass whooped. Also that he may have originally been a girl.

Kokonoe: Theories aside, Crocodile would give up on his dream and stick to being a pirate, eventually becoming a Warlord of the Sea, basically Pirates that work for the World Government. Crocodile would take up the name Mr.Zero and work behind the scenes alongside Ms.Allsunday, who you may know as Nico Robin. Together the two of them would come up with a plan to rule Alabasta, obtain one of the four ancient weapons, and eventually rule the world.

Junko: And all was going good until a rubber boy fucked it up. He kicked Crocodile's ass and sent him straight to Impel Down after their third fight! Only for Crocodile to escape, go to war, and literally challenge everyone he steps in front of.

Kokonoe: Well his time at Impel Down may have made him stronger... as if he wasn't already incredibly strong.

Junko: He was strong enough to take on Luffy and clashed with Doflamingo... the same Doffy who can destroy meteors with his string! He also clashed with Mihawk's sword with nothing but his hook! Mihawk is the same guy who can cut Aokiji's giant chunks of ice in a single swing!

Ann: Crocodile's strength is impressive, and so is his speed.

Ann: He's easily faster than Luffy was Pre-Timeskip, capable of dodging some of his more basic attacks and forcing Luffy to fight less predictably. He's also outright blitzed Robin, who can keep up with guys that move faster than the eye can see!

Kokonoe: His speed is more impressive after his trip through Impel Down, as he managed to clash with Mihawk who, at the time, was moving faster than Luffy's Gear 2nd.

Junko: Last but not least he's got some really good durability!

Junko: While this guy can easily take hits from Luffy and sometimes even laugh them off, nothing compares to the damage he took at Impel Down!

Ann: Right. He's withstood the extreme temperatures of Level Three, a boiling hot room that can roast a bird alive. He wasn't even phased by Level 4, which is hotter than Level 3 and he's even been baptized into boiling hot water and didn't even flinch.

Kokonoe: He would also withstand Level 5, a room that operates at sub-zero temperatures. Eventually, they had no choice but to move him to Level 6, where all the worst criminals reside.

Junko: And after breaking out and going to war, he took a good hit from this diamond guy named Juzo, who can block Mihawk's sword swing and lift a gigantic chunk of ice that is not only hundreds of times his own height but is twice the size of a freaking giant!

Ann: Now as far as weapons go, Crocodile has his hook.

Ann: This hook pretty much replaces Crocodile's right hand.

Kokonoe: It's made of golden alloy and resistant to corrosion. It's also durable enough to block a hit from Mihawk's Kokuto Yoru without taking any damage.

Junko: And underneath that hook is... another hook! But this time it's filled with scorpion venom so potent it can melt through solid rock and kill you with a single slash! And under that hook is a single blade as you must always be prepared.

Kokonoe: But he wouldn't have come this far without the ability of his Devil Fruit, the Suna-Suna No Mi, or Sand-Sand Fruit.

Kokonoe: This Logia-Type Devil Fruit ability allows Crocodile to generate, manipulate, and even become sand.

Junko: That's right, he can become sand! This causes any and all attacks to phase right through him! In fact, he's mastered his fruit to the point that surprise attacks do basically nothing since he doesn't need to react for an attack to go right through him!

Kokonoe: He can use this ability to create massive sandstorms, fly around somehow, and even sense anything moving through sand, including an underground river below Alabasta.

Ann: But his most useful ability is Desert Encierro!

Ann: Where he drains the moister from his opponent's body! Any form of liquid gets immediately sucked out until they're nothing more than an empty husk!

Junko: This isn't limited to just people though, as shown with his other move, Ground Secco!

Junko: Crocodile places his hand on the ground and uses his dehydration ability to dry out a huge area around him, turning it into a desert wasteland! When he does this, it also can cause the area around him to crumble and cave in, causing unfortunate foes to fall to their death!

Kokonoe: Then there's his even stronger version, Ground Death.

Kokonoe: However, Crocodile not only dries up the ground but anything and everything on it including people and even buildings, all of which is transformed into sand if it has steady contact with the ground.

Ann: His ability to dehydrate others also isn't limited to his right hand, he can use the very sand he's using! As sown with his other technique, Barchan!

Ann: Where he swings his right arm forward while leaving a crescent-shaped trail of sand behind it. Anything hit by that trail is instantly robbed of all moisture because of Crocodile's dehydration ability.

Junko: Wait, did his sand just rip those guys' clothes?

Ann: Oh right, Crocodile can also use his sand and make blades. While Barchan isn't a cutting ability, he does have attacks like the Desert Spada!

Ann: Crocodile forms his right hand into a loose blade of fast-moving sand and then stabs it into the ground, extending it along the ground like a torpedo, splitting anything in its path, including the very ground itself, through extreme and focused erosion, created by the sand blade!

Kokonoe: He's got an alternate version called Desert La Spada.

Kokonoe: Crocodile now forms several solid blades with fan-shaped edges instead of one large blade made from sand.

Junko: Yeah, Desert Spada is a pretty useful ability! Especially for a move called Desert Girasole!

Junko: Crocodile creates a loose sand blade from his right hand with Desert Spada. Like Desert Spada, He stabs it into the ground causing an area in front of him to collapse. However, a giant pit of quicksand will be formed instead, with the sand being taken away by underground rivers. Anything caught in the pit will be sucked in and buried alive.

Kokonoe: But one of his main abilities is Sables.

Kokonoe: Crocodile summons a massive tornado of sand and sends it on a rampage. Once this sandstorm grows large enough, not even he can stop it. He can also make a sandstorm that can suck the water out of living things and is apparently able to crack steel. Another usage is to send people flying with this technique. In deserts, it can cross the length of a small country and many of them in succession over a period of time can bury an entire city.

Junko: And he's got an even stronger version called Sables Pesado!

Junko: Crocodile gathers a swirling mass of extremely dense sand in his hand, then hurls it at his opponent, causing a massive shockwave upon impact!

Ann: And last but not least is Desert Grande Espada!

Kokonoe:  While Desert Spada forms a long, underground blade of sand that slices everything in its path, Desert Grande Spada slices the enemy with a rising sand blade that erupts from the ground with greater speed, as not even Akainu was able to dodge it.

Junko: It was used to cut Akainu in half, which is impressive because Akainu is made of magma! Technically his sand should have turned to glass right after, but no dice!

Kokonoe: Crocodile is strategic, cunning, and merciless. You would think he'd have less trouble against a boy made of rubber. But there is a major reason for it.

Kokonoe: Crocodile is incredibly egotistical, thinking himself above all others. This would often cause him to underestimate opponents like Luffy.

Junko: But his biggest weakness is water! Not just because he can't swim though. It solidifies him making him easier to hit! Basically, while everyone else has a weakness to water, Crocodile has double that weakness. And it can be any liquid, even blood!

Kokonoe: Luckily he can absorb the liquid in case of something like that.

Junko: Eventually Crocodile would learn from his mistakes and travel into the new world alongside Mr.One! With a new bounty on his head and a new crew to boot, Crocodile is one threat you should watch out for.

Crocodile: Wake up princess, I'm tired of your useless ideals. It's gotten pathetic. What good are your happy ideals if you can't do anything to make them a reality? They're nothing but dreams, and your dreams don't stand a chance.
