Mothpaw's father is, in fact, Dappledpelt. Silkeyes and Dappledpelt met at the gathering, back when they were both newly made warriors. They witnessed an arguement between a member of each clan, debating on which clan was better. Both Silkeyes and Dappledpelt sympathised for the other side. Dappledpelt arranged to meet her on the gathering island again the next day, where they quickly bonded.

But perhaps they didn't bond enough, because when they made the hasty decision to mate they had both gone sour towards eachother. 2 moons later, Mothkit was born. Silkeyes admired her beauty, until she spotted a brown splat on her paw. The spot reminds her of Dappledpelt still, even today
